The assorted tray was all fresh, tasty and good quality big pieces of fish and crispy vegetables with soft and sticky rice. It was everything that you would want when thinking about the perfect sushi roll. The miso soups hit that sweet spot where they were just salty enough so you aren't left feeling like you may have a sodium crash. 10/10 would order again, the price for the quality was definitely well worth it and I would say it could feed at least 3 with a variety to choose from! read more

I'm not a huge fan of sushi but my husband is. I usually order all the non-seafood options. Because of this, i'm usually more strict on my reviews because all you can eat sushi places focus on the seafood first. If these type of restaurants have good non-seafood options and the basic options taste really good then I know that everything is good. Unfortunately, this fell kind of flat at this location.. the fried rice was very bland and had no flavor, and I also ordered some chicken options and short ribs and everything just tasted overly sauced up and kind of lacked real depth of flavour. My husband said the sushi was just okay. The staff were very friendly, and attentive at taking away any empty plates. Went here for a birthday dinner and loved the food. They have all you can eat sushi and it was decent! I went on a friday and there was still lots of space. I didn't need to book a reservation beforehand. The portions of the food were really generous but I would say inconsistent. Some pieces were larger than the others. You order off of a tablet and they bring what you ordered right to your table. The only thing I would is that I ordered the spicy salmon sushi rolls and they didn't come at all. We came here for weekend dinner AYCE sushi and loved the fact that the restaurant is suitable for all ages and preferences; large families, families with kids, seniors, young couples and friends get-together. They also have a semi-private area in the middle that can be setup for large gatherings. They have great variety of sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, maki tolls, tempura, teriyaki, tataki, noodles, fried rice, vegetarian options. You can order through iPad and it will be served at your table in a short period of time. We really enjoyed hoe fresh the rolls and sashimi were; even ordered more than we planned for. Kanda sushi is an AYCE sushi spot in the heart of Mississauga having existed for over a decade. What impressed me most is their pricing, very reasonable compared to a lot of the other AYCE joints. Service was pretty fast the day we visited too. We tried a lot of dishes from their menu. Must trys include their torched rolls, hand rolls and anything from their speciality menu. a recent dinner at kanda sushi left me with decidedly mixed feelings. the establishment is conveniently situated in a plaza, its purple signage clearly visible from the main intersection. while parking is ample, patrons should note the two-hour (iirc) limit that might constrain a leisurely dining experience. upon entering, the restaurant initially appears somewhat confined, but cleverly extends into a lower level area with additional seating, effectively utilizing the available space. my experience began with an unfortunate interaction regarding pricing. when i inquired about the $34 dinner price advertised on their website, social media, and restaurant posters, the server rather dismissively stated "that price was changed months ago." though they ultimately honored the advertised price, this initial exchange set an uncomfortable tone. the quality of the food itself varied considerably. most disappointing was the rice, which lacked proper seasoning and the essential vinegar notes that elevate proper sushi. several rolls arrived noticeably cold, suggesting they may have been prepared well in advance of serving. the sashimi, however, proved to be a highlight - fresh and flavorful as one would hope. unfortunately, the miso soup was excessively salty, overwhelming its more subtle flavors. dessert provided a welcome conclusion, with a fried banana served delightfully hot and perfectly prepared. while the restaurant has promising elements, particularly in the quality of their fish, issues with consistency and service detract from what could otherwise be a more satisfying dining experience. with some refinement, particularly to their rice preparation and customer interactions, this establishment could certainly improve. read more

I used come here a lot growing up with my family but have to been there in a while since recently. The food here is amazing with lots of variety to choose from. The top items are spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, rock shrimp, and the cheesy muscles. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming. The price is a bit steep for a weekday dinner but for the quality, I cannot complain. The drinks are $2.50 but refills are free, just make sure to ask for one and not order another on the tablet. The few times I have had sushi in my life, I have always liked it but it has never been my first choice when hungry since I always assume that it will never fill me up. This is especially true when I have to order for my family since I worry that we would end up needing to buy burgers or something an hour or so after our Sushi "meal". My wife enjoyed the Dynamite roll and I really liked the Spicy Tuna roll. My son realized that his father cannot be trusted with food since I lovingly gave him a piece with extra wasabi. The ratings for this place seem low on Yelp so maybe my taste buds do not really know the difference between good and bad sushi. My girlfriend and I wanted Sushi and decided to try Kanda Sushi since we were in the area. They offered an AYCE menu which is what we wanted. It was 32.95 on weekdays and 35.95 on weekends (note holidays count as weekends) so even though we went on a week day we had to pay the weekend price. The Sushi was okay we got a variety of sashimi, nigiri and Maki. Everything tasted fine the only issue we had was the rice was warm when we recieved Sushi. Not a bad thing but, we prefer the rice to be cooler. We also ordered some warm entrées. The good was the Habachi Steak, Beef Satay and Cream Cheese Rangoons. The bad or meh was the Teriyaki Steak, Shrimp Tempura and General Tao Chicken. We found the General Tao was salty, the quality of the Teriyaki beef was not great and the Tempura was a little over breaded. I don't think I would return to Kanda Sushi. While the food was okay nothing was memorable. Some items were good and some were not. Again not bad just not worth the weekend price point. read more

This is by far the best sushi I've been to. I'm not one sided because the price is so damn good, but because of the location and the service. The employees were helpful and friendly. The selection of rolls, tempura and maki is surprisingly plentiful and it makes me happy to munch on edamame and sip on my miso soup. It's roughly $12.95/person all-u-can-eat Monday-Thursday. The one thing I really did like was the fish egg sushi. Hot food: we only spicy tofu and deep fried cheese wontons. My local sushi place - located in the plaza at Hurontario and Queensway. I order take out from them quite often - call them directly to order and pay with cash, you get 15% off. The food is pretty good - dishes were tasty and fresh. Value for money is pretty great as portion sizes are quite large, but expect your sushi and hand rolls to be majorly padded out with rice. (Keeps you full, I guess.)The bento boxes are a really good deal, as the dinner sets cost about $10 and you get meat, rice, gyoza, sushi, miso soup, and salad! The interiors are alright - clean and spacious - I've never seen this place fully packed so there's no worry for wait times. Service is pretty good although some of the staff do not speak English...only Chinese. Me and my friend went to go eat, I personally was going to order all-you-eat and my colleague was going to order from the menu, because he wasn't that hungry. Was just there for lunch today. And I was quite impressed with the service, quality of food and very reasonable price! When we first got there it was not as busy but by the time 1pm hit there was a steady stream of people. But the growing crowd of people didn't have any effect on the quick service that we received. As soon as we were ready to place our order there was someone to pick it up. If we had an empty plate on the table it was quickly picked up. Food was fresh and very flavourful. I find them to be more pricey than the other AYCE sushi spots and the quality is worst! Obviously there is seafood being served, but often this place smells horribly of smelly or cheap fish. I highly doubt that you would be driving down on Hurontario south of Dundas looking for sushi. There is a microscopic chance that you would ever make it as far as the hospital. If you step into Kanda Sushi, your expectations are immediately lowered to a grave. The decor is comparable to a family-run Vietnamese restaurant. There is natural light (which for some reason is unknown to many other restaurants serving food from the land of the rising sun). For the most part, you will get yourself seated. The waiters may ask to start you off with drinks, which is included in the all-you-can-eat menu (big A+ for this joint). You will also do most of the ordering on your own. All you have to do is open up the menu, pick some numbers, write down those numbers on the notepad and write how many numbers of those numbers you want beside the first number. Easy. You can do all of this without ending the conversation you had with your group that started back in the car you drove in with. You can sit there with your completed order form, still gossipping with your peers, and wait for any employee to collect it from you. I literally mean it when I say that any employee of the institution will collect your paper. There are waiters, but even the table cleaners will snatch the form from you as they walk by. There is rarely any talking in this process, and the waiters won't inspire a smile. The food doesn't take long to come. I have noticed that any serving of shrimp will take longer to prepare. My girlfriend and I usually start with shrimp and sweet potato tempuras. We are also huge fans of the spicy salmon and eel rolls. The salmon pizza is also something worth sacrificing room for. Unfortunately, they do not serve salmon sashimi during lunch, but dinner is a different story (I don't know the reason behind this, but the salmon sushi is decent enough compromise). The rolls are consistently made fresh, and everything else is delicious. The waiters are usually watching every table like crows waiting for a dead carcass. They circle around the room in a group cycle. Any plate you had killed will be taken away almost immediately. It's a very efficient process. Model T production line efficiency. Desserts are included with the menu, and (if you're like my girlfriend) you can order as much ice cream as you crave for whatever emotions you are going through. If you are sad, order 5 scoops of every flavour. If you are like me, you may order a single scoop of green tea ice cream in celebration for a great lunch. For most people, the price for lunch during the week (excluding Fridays) are $13.95. This is much lower than most other places, especially for sushi this good. The value is good for people who just happen to need sushi, but the food is good enough to return at times when there are plenty of other (more elegant) options. I return on a weekly basis, and on every occasion it has been consistently good. If you have not found this place, it is definitely worth a try. You may see me for lunch of Fridays. read more
