    Seared salmon poke bowl

Got the seared salmon poke bowl for take out. Portion size it was good, good amount of toppings and rice for the price of it. The take out service took longer than wait time so before to order 30 mins in advance. Even I was there online and still had to wait.

It's my second time trying Toro Toro Sushi and they never disappoint. The restaurant was open with lots of seating. The ambiance was dark, cozy and private, with great contrast of the red ceiling and warm-toned wood finishes. We ordered ahead to try the tasting box for two that had a serving size that was generous. It was presented beautifully. The sushi rice was cooked perfectly, it wasn't too sticky. The salmon sashimi was so fresh and had a delicate sweetness when paired with their soy sauce. The torched items were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The shrimp summer rolls were okay. The sushi tacos were surprisingly crunchy. Prices were reasonable given how their food was of high quality. The service was quite fast, we got our order 15 minutes earlier. The Tasting Box for Two (40 pieces) came with: 6pc Salmon Sashimi (5/5) 3pc Aburi Syake Oshi (5/5) 3pc Aburi Maguro Oshi (5/5) 4pc Shrimp Summer Rolls (3/5) 4pc Tataki Maki (3.5/5) 4pc Fantasy Maki (4/5) 4pc Forbidden Maki (5/5) 4pc The Crouching Tiger (4/5) 2pc Teriyaki Flame (5/5) 2pc Lava Roll (5/5) 2pc Atomic Roll (4/5) 2pc Salmon Sushi Tacos (4/5)

First time visiting the Mississauga location. Food is consistent with their other locations. Not the best sushi ive had. Same price point, i have other sushi spots in mind. The venue looks great, high ceilings, more spacious than the Scarborough and Vaughn locations. Definitely the better dine in option. But as you know, they're pretty catered to take out. Everything is packed nicely in a box already. Downside: only paid street parking ($1/hr, not bad) Or you can park at sq one and walk over.

I thought this place was expensive and didn't like the fact that there were no plates or bowls or water offered at all. They just give you a takeout box and that's pretty much it. Our order also took quite long and so they gave us a $5 coupon to make up for it. Sushi was okay I guess I just didn't really enjoy the experience.

This is definitely the perfect spot for our anniversary. There are so many selections and everything looks so good that we decided to get a tasting box. It's also the most beautiful sushi presentation we've ever seen. At first, we tried the salmon sashimi. It was so fresh and the size was perfect. We both loved the aburi syake oshi and aburi maguro oshi. We can't resist any torched sushi - it's top-notch. Also, the portion size was perfect, not too much rice. The price is definitely not cheap, so you get what you pay for. I also love their vibe, which has a clean and comfortable tone. We went on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't too busy so we could easily find seats.

delicious and not super expensive! we got the tasting box for 2 which comes with three different sauces. Even the packaging feels luxe and sleek, making the whole experience feel premium. It reminds me of sugarfish in LA! if I lived closer to the area, I would order from here all the time.

This newest sushi joint opened to much excitement! After hearing of their east end location, it's no wonder this shop has long lines and wait times. Best to order ahead, regardless of dining in or take out. The interior is modern and warm. Lots of wood and dark but high ceilings. They have a BIG team working on assembly of orders, but they are slow. So be prepared for long wait. Hope they get more experience and efficiency improves. They are located at the base of a condo in downtown Mississauga - so parking is few and far between. Making it very hard to pick up orders quickly when they are running late. The staff were a bit disorganized and the first staff member had trouble finding my order. But 2nd person was able to find it. The order was about 10 minutes late. Not terrible, but again, due to their lack of parking - it's a bit stressful. Food wise, there is no doubt the presentation is A+. Beautifully built that left everyone impressed. Our family had a big reunion and ordered two 75pc boxes to go. Gorgeous boxes that are truly perfect for parties. However I was a little disappointed in the rolls and fish we got. I thought for one of the lux boxes, there may be better quality seafood then surf clams, for example... But all in all a great addition to Mississauga and would return to try other menu items. Just maybe after they've worked out some of the kinks.

    Taster set

**3.5 stars** I've been wanting to try this place ever since they opened after all of the hype on social media. I was worried the place would be packed since their website mentioned that it's better to call ahead and order, but the place was empty at around 1PM on a Saturday. This place really isn't like a typical restaurant where you're being served. When you walk in, you can scan the qr code to see the menu, and when you're ready to order, you place your order at the front. When the food is done, they'll call it out, and you go pick it up - cafeteria style. We came as a group of 3 and got the taster box for two and an order of kaarage. It took about 15 mins for the taster set. At first glance, the taster set was nicely presented and contained quite a variety of sushi. The taste was pretty good, I wouldn't say it was super amazing, but it's definitely good. It was enough to share between three people. The kaarage, however, was soooo small! The pieces are tiny and resemble chicken nuggets instead. It was also super dry, would not recommend it. There was no water either cause it's not really a sit down order type of restaurant. Overall, a decent place that's good to try at least once.

This place is always busy and we've always been wanting to try it but their online system is usually done. We did end up grabbing takeaway one time when we were at the area. I had high expectations since it's always busy. Unfortunately, I thought the flavour was a bit lacking. The quality of food is good but in terms of the taste, I have tried better especially for the price. We got the aburi ebi and the hidden dragon. The interior is interesting as you can sit anywhere, then order your food and grab it when it's ready. I would probably try their other plates as well (maybe the tasting box).

Amazing sushi quality and very reasonable prices for quality! Definitely recommend for sushi, loved everything we had. Will be going back for sure

Amazing quality sushi! My favourite is the shiitake & co roll with tuna, the fantasy, and the hidden dragon. I love their online ordering tool, it's so easy to use! We got takeout.

Definitely got my sushi fix. Packaging is amazing. Would recommend to anyone. Tons of flavor, great presentation.

    Sushi platter

Decided to come here after hearing great things from the Vaughn location, but there are a few things that had influenced my decision on only giving this business 3 star rating. The platter we ordered was good, but it felt a bit pricey for what it was. The sashimi was the best part, and the torched sushi was pretty great, too. Yhe presentation was the best part, the platter comes in a box that is very well put together. The kaarage, however, felt a bit underwhelming. It was expensive for what it is and a bit on the drier side than usual. The style of this restaurant is more of a cafeteria style. You order up at the cashier and sit down anywhere in the restaurant and await your number to be called. Overall, the sushi is decent, but for the price, I would suggest going elsewhere for the same quality.

I'm not sure how much my friend putting us on wait list before arriving helped but we waited about 30 mins before it was our turn. There were 5 of us (4 adults and one toddler) and we were in a booth for four adults. The booths are pretty small considering all the things you can order. Luckily our booth was against a wall with space to put the dishes that didn't fit on the table. Dinner service was very busy as it was difficult to flag down a server to order. Once we ordered, the meats came out very fast. I think the cuts offered at Shinta are high quality for an AYCE restaurant. Currently Shinta offers an order of free A5 wagyu with your dinner. Everyone really enjoyed the Wagyu, even my toddler! The sushi that they offer was also good. I opted to eat less sushi to fill up on the meat. For dessert, the majority of us got the mango pomelo sago. It was refreshing! Overall, I really enjoyed Shinta and will be having my birthday dinner here next month! They also offer a free 6" cake if you reserve at least three days in advance.

My favorites were the marinated kalbi, beef tongue, and red saikyo brisket-- they had the perfect amount of marbling so nothing was rubbery & everything melted in your mouth. Sushi was actually amazing for an ayce spot especially presentation wise, the Takumi Signature which had apple in it was really good, the colors, textures, and flavors worked really well together. Highly recommend that & the black forest roll as well! They also have a great seasoning selection, definitely a wider variety than your average spot and their ponzu is so much better than your standard brisket sauce!! Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. They did a great job at keeping our table clean, waters topped up, and grills changed when needed. Seating is ample and comfortable. Also LOVE that they had Melona as one of their dessert options even though we were too stuffed for anything sweet towards the end. 4.8 stars but I'm still giving 5 only because they didn't have beef belly (BRUH) which is a KBBQ/JBBQ staple ;-; and my personal favorite, otherwise would be a solid 5. Still highly recommend for a solid JBBQ spot in Sauga!

Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. My husband ordered nigiri sushi: red snapper and white tuna. Both of these were bland, with a mushy mouthfeel. My oyster had lots of sheen and liquor, but they were clearly harvested long ago, and were shriveled in their shells. Both of us left with upset stomachs. As a topper, our young waiter asked us as we settled the bill, "Why are you old folks out during the busy time?" OMG.
