Worth a stop in. I remember this place from my childhood, so that might give it an extra star! It's fun. But the chocolates (by the pound) here are very good -- love the buttercrunch bars and chocolate covered cranberries and nuts. The gift shop and other candy items are your usual pretty junky stuff. They make their saltwater taffy on site in the window while you watch. It's no wonder their taffy is so fresh! Stale taffy is one of my pet peeves. When you're paying $8+ per pound for taffy and it crumbles rather than melts in your mouth, there is something wrong here. They had about 1.5 dozen flavors, we samples them all, and all were chewy, melt in your mouth, goodness. We also picked up some chocolate covered bacon toffee bits. The verdict on those was undecided. Half the group loved them. The other half though they were basically just edible, though nobody hated them. They didn't quite taste like genuine bacon though. We also picked up some various fudge, also made in house. While not bad, I've had batter, but I do give props for their vast varieties. The fudge was also distinctly extremely fresh made. Though the fresh made cotton candy was tempting, I held off to keep myself from falling into a sugar coma on our 1.5 hot drive home. We will be back. No trip to downtown Hyannis is complete without a stop into the Kandy Korner, but that doesn't mean you need to buy anything. Their candy selection is that of your typical candy store, minus a few items. They do make their own fudge here, and you can see them doing it in the window frequently, but I have never tried it personally. The fudge, however, has always been good - nothing special in my opinion but definitely not atrocious. Further back in the shop they have all sorts of various knick-knacks that one can expect to see in all sorts of shops around The Cape. However, there's a bit of a time saving benefit to being able to do all your souvenir shopping in one fell swoop, and for that the Kandy Korner is perfect. read more

Worth a stop in. In a declining tourist area this place can cover all your tourist shopping needs. They have a huge selection of candy, fudge and some ice cream. There is also a large gift shop in the back that has a variety of themed items from wizard of oz, hello kitty and cape cod. The taffy is actually pretty good. read more

For me, Saltwater Taffy in the summer, the ocean, and vacation all go hand in hand. Yes I know these places charge arms and legs for their confectionary goods to bring back memories and to create new ones too! Well, Kandy Korner and their Saltwater Taffy has become bland, non chewy, flavorless, mush! As a child I could taste all of the flavors, savor them, and tell most of them apart, now I can taste artificial chocolate, fake lemon, and some kinda banana chemical flavor and every singe other flavor is "Yuck" there is not a single difference in flavor from the Watermelon to the Blue Berry, or the Cotten Candy to the Strawberry. It is junk! And it's expensive junk. This just showed me they only care about taking your money and deliver a terrible thoughtless product. I would not spend my money there again, this maybe can create an opportunity for new competition or a wake up call for Kandy Korner to get it together and care about the memories they are selling. I would not buy their over priced products until then! I recommend you don't either. They don't care! They are established and now resting on their laurels. Service is good, the place is clean and well maintained, but the product is sub par and expensive. read more

Kandy Korner is my favorite place to visit when going to the cape. I lived on the Cape as a child and it was a family tradition to go to the KK for penny candy, fresh homemade fudge and ice cream. They have the best fudge I have ever had, that's why I order their penuche walnut and PB cup fudge through their website. I think that they were voted best fudge by the Cape Cod Life Magazine. In Boston last week to look at Colleges with my son. The entire city shut down last Thursday so we headed to the Cape. Many years ago(1971 - 1983) we summered on the Cape. We frequently visited Main St. in Hyannis and Kandy Korner was always part of the visit. I was disappointed to see the tattoo parlors on Main st but was relieved to see KK still in business. The store has not changed much since I last visited and the people were friendly. We bought some taffy to take back to the family in Texas which they loved. Perhaps I am sucker for nostalgia, but I loved the KK. I appreciated that this business has stood the test of time and that I was not gouged on price. Tourist Trap. Kandy Korner has been an institution in Hyannis since the 1910's. They will ship anywhere(this I know because I sent some salt water taffy to my mom in St. Louis). The taffy is the best. The fudge looked good, but I didn't get any on this trip. read more

They have SO MUCH CANDY! They also have other souvenirs and decor that was very reasonably priced. Huge homemade chocolate selection and you can pick your own assortment of taffy. The staff was really nice and helpful. The store was clean, spacious, and a short walk from our hotel. read more

This store is really BIG inside, but it's not all candy. The front part of the store is where the candy, fudge, ice cream,etc is, and the back part of the store is a touristy spot, selling everything Cape Cod. The fudge here looks good, but doesn't taste very good. The top part of the fudge is always hard as a rock, and the middle/bottom is always sticky. I've had fudge before from a thousand different places, and none of them are ever like this, especially with the top being so hard. There are plenty of places on Cape Cod to buy fudge, and candy so I'd recommend going to one of them instead of Kandy Korner. The candy here is nothing special either, just a bunch of little pieces you can get anywhere. Try the Candy Cafe in the Christmas Tree Plaza in Hyannis. They have excellent fudge, and a better selection of candy. read more

They had a really great selection of different candies and other sweets. The sheer amount of flavors of salt water candy was mind blowing. Besides that they also had homemade fudge in the store as well as imported candy from several different countries like Germany and Ireland. The taffy was really good as well as the fudge. I've been going here since I was little... as soon as you walk in the door the smell just hits you! YUM! You can grab a basket and then pick out whatever individual candies you like all at a couple cents individually. They do ice cream and coffee as well! I love that the back of the store is full of all your typical and not-so-typical cape cod paraphernalia. They have a neat jewelry selection, and lots of collectibles (especially wizard of oz) that would be hard to find anywhere else. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I have seen a decrease in the selection they have in the back. Kandy Korner isn't thriving as it used to be. I can say, their service is spectacular! In all my years going here i've never encountered an un-knowledgable or unfriendly employee. The bear outside is looking a little run down, they should give him a second life! DEFINITELY make sure to grab a bag of the homemade peanut butter pretzels!!! They are to die for! You can usually sample them right up at the counter. You can't go wrong with the homemade fudge, chocolate, and taffy either. LOVE!! read more
