While the variety and health of their flora is exceptional, their fauna seriously lacks in customer service. Nasty cashier who couldn't wait to close the store and hurried me out before I had a chance to finish my purchase ("I've been here since 8:00 and I want to go home!" "Where have you been all day -- you could have come earlier!" -- She actually said these things to me!). Meh! My husband used to buy pointsettias from them for his school's fund raisers, and I wanted to honor his memory by buying flowers from Kane's for his grave this Memorial Day. I'd rather go to Home Depot and deal with friendly smiling associates and adequate quality. I'll never shop at Kane's again. read more

After buying some Aster for my fall yard scape i am terribly disappointed that the flowers have completely died-in ONE WEEK. I have followed the directions of keeping soil moist with a 1.5L watering each night and is in full sun as directed. I called to inquire about my issue, was first told there is no guarentee, and that i clearly wasnt caring for them properly. that they infact need 2 gallons of water a day (this is a small plant if i waterd 2gallons a day it would be drowned), but was told over and over 2 gallons of water. Definately will not be returning as i was berated on the phone and am terribly disappointed in the customer service. read more

I don't know why I haven't shopped here sooner! (Actually I do know why, people have always told me to stay away, for one reason or another but I'm glad I decided to give it a shot)I always used go to big box stores, and prices may be cheaper at lowes and HD (if they have what you looking for) but like the saying goes "You get what you pay for" and that is the truth!! Kane's has everything you can imagine and then some! They carry hard to find plants that may not be native to this area. And the prices aren't that much more than Lowes, maybe a few dollars if not the same price really. Lately all the rage with succulents is addicting, and I find myself walking around Kanes a couple times a month! Their succulent selection is CRAZY! And the prices on these are actually cheaper than Lowes!! And BETTER QUALITY! As far as the staff goes, I have never had a problem! They answer my questions (about watering or pests) and are helpful when I'm looking for something in the store!! They don't do a song and dance for me,but I'm not there to socialize so it don't matter! I will still shop at Lowes (better than HD in my opinion for Garden) and I may even shop HD for certain sales BUT when I want to go to one place that I know will have what I need, and good quality, I'm going to KANES FLOWER WORLD! they have NO customer service...once you buy it, you own it. they also lie. told me all plants were grown there..well, my mandevilla was not grown there as the tag in the pot says where it came grom. the management is rude. even though I have shopped here for years, this year is my last. read more

I was at Kanes before Mothers day and bought TWO baskets of YELLOW PETUNIAS! Both have all but died regardless of what I have done! ALL OTHER flowers are amazing so I took them back and was told that "I did not buy them there"!! I had the receipt and even PHOTOS of these baskets at their location in Danvers before I bought them (Sent the photos on my phone back home to make sure it is what was to be selected) and still the owner/manager called me out saying "I was wrong, you did NOT buy them here!".........he said it is such a way as to make sure ALL OF THE employees and customers heard him all the while he would see NONE of my proof that they did indeed come from them! This is the ONLY nursery I have bought from this year so there is no doubt where I got them! NO Excuse for this behavior! I have the proof and they have just lost a 16 year client that spends hundreds/thousands a year.................and I am telling EVERYONE!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! read more
