I wanted something different to do after enjoying an afternoon eating and shopping with my bestie. I remembered a boss had treated us staff to a foot reflexology here on Lovers Lane. I stopped in but they were booked and discovered there was another one a few suites down.
I went to the door and someone opened it for me and greeted me. I asked if they took walk-ins and he said yes, yes, come in. I went back to tell my friend.
The place had a decent-sized lobby and they told us to take a seat after telling them what we wanted, After what seemed like only a minute, two men came to collect us. They showed us to a room behind a curtain in a huge dark area broken up into little sections by short walls and curtains.
There were beds in there but it was SO dark! It seemed to lighten just a bit when the men came back, but in the meantime, we weren't given any instructions. But since we're not stupid, ha we removed our shoes and since we asked for the shiatsu massage along with the foot reflexology, we removed our outer shirts - we were both wearing t-shirts underneath - how weird of a coincidence! When the men returned, they moved our stuff from the little seat they needed and gently placed them on the floor (glad I left my jacket on the bed next to me - never put your things on a dark floor!). They proceeded to rub our feet. I had a less-than good experience my 1st time around at yaya because it was just too painful. The man didn't speak English but luckily our co-worker spoke Chinese and she told him to relax the pressure, that it was too hard and he did, but didn't seem to want to. This man listened when I said, not too much pressure. I understand they are trying to work thru our pressure points, but, no. I was very glad that it felt more like a deep massage then the true reflexology.
It was very affordable and the 30 minutes went by quickly. It was too dark in there, but other than that, I have no negatives for this place. read more
