Local and charming farmers market located in the Kapaa beach park field. It was our first time attending this market and we found parking in the beach parking lot on Niu street - it was hard to find the lot at first. Suggest arriving about half hour before it starts to get parking. We bought some avocados, apple banana and papaya. Mostly fresh fruit/veggie stands with some baked goods/treats. Would recommend if you find yourself in Kapaa town on a Wednesday. Vendors were very nice and hospitable. read more

Best farmers market I've found on Kauai so far, but it's still very small. Maybe about 15 tents. Parking is free, but traffic is kind of a pain during the time the market is going on. There's lots of fresh fruit and some of the vendors are pretty nice. read more

Love the close proximity to town, and fresh produce. The vendors are all very nice and helpful. So glad the market is close to town. We look forward to visiting them when they come. I liked seeing the vendor who sold fresh bread, cookies, and banana bread as a change of items sold. I hope more vendors will sell more baked goods. Perhaps iced drinks, desserts, home brews or kombucha? The prices can't be beat too, $5-7 for red pulp dragon fruit? Xtra lrg ripe mangoes for $7? So much fun! Bought apple bananas, star apples, soursop, and other fruits the local farmers recommended. Also got to drink a fresh coconut water during my visit. Definitely affordable and great place to visit during your stay! read more

Prices went way up. Not affordable like before. They are more for price gouging the tourists. Crazy. Yeah are those mangoes really local?? Because our mangoes are usually in the summer. Many fruits and vegetables are from wholesalers and Costco (Mexico). Buyer beware!! Yuck. The two coconuts I bought the other day was bad. They picked it to young. The water was sour and no meat in them whatsoever!! I don't know what happened. Don't buy small coconuts, they are to young. Was from the first vendor on the left side. So disappointed. read more

Excellent selection of tropical fruit and vegetables. If you are Thai or Lao you will be pleased to see that most vendors speak your language. Everyone is incredibly friendly and the vegetables and fruit are diverse and fresh. There was a guy selling Pineapple and Mango smoothies and it was the best I had ever tasted. This is a great farmer's market and prices were reasonable in most cases. read more

Best looking farmers market.. with a view. The vendors were good. Lots of vegetables and fruit stands as well as ready to eat food. We stopped at the Thai food stand and the Haole girl which were both very good! The croissant sandwiches and Lilikoi mustard was sooo tasty! read more

Nice farmers market mainly focused on local produce. Everything looked fresh & vendors were friendly. I was looking for some Hawaiian avocado varieties & they had a few unique varieties you don't see on mainland. Great farmer market. It's a bit pricey ($10 for Sugarloaf pineapple, $3 for avocadoes, etc), but the produce is amazing and the location can't be beat. I saw no prepared food, no jewelry, etc. Just a good produce market. read more

The current Kapaa market is not as big as the older one that used to be at the high school.... However... there is still a decent amount of variety and considering all the grief that Covid has caused the out islands....bravo to the growers who make the effort to get their wonderful products to the locals and visitors. read more

I wish this was closer to home! The nicest surprise was the fresh ginger. Huge, white and so beautiful. The stuff they sell in Publix is gross next to these. I bought a star fruit, a huge ripe mango, white sweet potatoes, and a ripe avocado which is perfect for dinner tonight. Prices were great. The large Avocados were $1 each as was the star fruit. The most expensive item was the mango at $8 but it was worth it. Free samples at the stands enticed everyone to try atypical fruits and then buy them! If you are near Kapa'a Town Park on a Wednesday afternoon, you have to stop in! Plenty of free parking. read more

You can find local produce, fruit, and kind vendors. I really enjoy visiting the farmers market in Kapaa. There is a great selection! You have to get there at 3pm when it opens because some of the farmers sell out. The locals know their favorite vendors. The Asian vegetables are plentiful. Ask for samples before you buy. You can bargain but you are wasting precious time. Prices are pretty competitive but there are farmers with some great pricing on their fresh stuff! read more

As most other farmers markets in the states, it can be a bit pricier than the grocery store but the beauty of it is you are getting your produce/ flowers from the growers themselves! All the locals I spoke to referred me to this particular farmers market over the rest due to the variety and amount of vendors. There were at least 50 vendors. They had a bunch of fruit I had never had that were really good! Some black cherry looking fruit and a cream-apple. The cream apple was my favorite along with the mango's and pineapples! There is a vendor that sales ice cold coconuts still attacked to the vines! While in Kapaa, this is a must on a Wednesday! read more

This place is like heaven in a parking lot. Your eyes will be opened to a whole new world of produce you never new existed. You can find different varieties of familiar looking fruits (ice cream mangos, ice cream bananas, tiny lady finger bananas, etc), and fruits you never knew existed (lilikoi, mountain apples, lychees, etc), fresh green coconuts with the tops chopped off, so you can drink the coconut water inside, and fresh veggies (purple sweet potatoes, huge avocados, and on and on). Talk about paradise. Most vendors were offering free samples. Cash only. There are a lot of farmer's markets on Kauai (probably every day of the week), so check with your hotel for what time the Kapaa one is on, and any others. read more

What a great experience!! For one hour every Wednesday there is a mingling of both locals and houlis along the edge of the park. At 3pm sharp a bell is rung to commence the buying frenzy of a wide variety of high quality upcountry fruits & veggies, many organic. Probably 30-35 vendors with their wares displayed on tables under popup canopies. The sweetest lady was selling flowers for 50 cents a stem. Go early and scope out who has what, (they were happy to answer questions as they set up their displays) then stand in line in front of your favorite vendor & wait for the bell. The best sells out very quiclky. It's friendly, organized kaos and a terrific experience that is over in a flash! read more

I got all the fruits. This is the place for the fruits!!! Star fruit, papaya, logans, dragon fruit, cherimoya, lilikoi, ice cream bananas (WTH are they? I dunno but I'm gonna find out!).. I'm telling you! FRUITS! My husband even got his boring grapefruit. All the fruits that I needed to make my Hawaiian vacation breakfasts complete. I over did it though and now have too much fruit. What a fun time. There were plenty of local farmers with a wide assortment of produce. We bought fruit that we had never seen before. Some we liked some we didn't care for much. I loved this farmers market. Really has a local feel. Delicious fresh fruits! It has a hilarious ritual that you can't start shopping until a bell rings and people camp out in from of their favorite vendors. Also wear sunscreen, very little shade! read more

If you like papaya, this is the place to go. We bought 10 sunrise papayas from different vendors, ranging from $.50 to $1.00 per fruit!!!!! We also bought star fruit, guava, apple bananas and mangoes. Being from California, we get amazing locally grown fruit at good prices. But the prices for what we bought here were just downright cheap. We thought the pineapple prices were a bit pricey-$4 to $8 depending the the size. In CA, we can get Hawaiian pineapple for less than that. read more
