This place was a last minute stop, and I am so grateful we stumbled upon it. We had actually planned to go to another sushi spot but were too hungry to drive 30 minutes. This a little hidden gem in East Cobb. It's in plaza off lower Roswell where the Local Walmart used to be. Easy to find and plenty free parking. I had been waiting to try it. I had some great Thai in Louisville, Ky. I wanted to see if I could find same dishes here. Kapow did not disappoint. The Pad See We with chicken was delicious!! I ate every single item. I'm really happy that I decided to take a visit to Kapow. I had a pickup order which was easy to order online and an easy pickup process. I had the Chicken Tempura Roll and the Chicken Panang Curry. I'm not a big fan of seafood so whenever a restaurant has chicken sushi I want to give it a try. It was solid but probably something I wouldn't order again. The Panang curry however, was very good. It was definitely on the sweeter side rather than the spicier side, but that's my preference so I really enjoyed it. I was surprised to find carrots in the curry because those weren't listed on the website, and I'm not sure if they were a mistake, but they blended with the dish well. The one negative is that I wish I had gotten some more rice to go along with the curry, but other than that I was pleased with the meal and will definitely return! read more

Let me\n Tell you about this place, kapow Thai and sushi. It's got the best Thai food. The best sushi and the best Chinese food around Cobb County. I usually go there at night with my family and have Chinese food. They have really good Mongolian beef. They have a really good selection of sushi and Thai food, but my my preference is Thai and sushi, because I really love Thai the owner's really nice, she's also from Thailand the prices are pretty The ball, it's a really good place to take your family and have lunch or dinner. They have a really good lunch menu. This place is soooo good!!!!! Every time I eat here it's fresh, and service is great. I spent 2x as much at a trendy sushi spot in Atlanta last week that didn't come close to being as good as this. I do wish they served alcohol but regardless it's an amazing spot that I like to eat at a couple times a month now. read more

Absolutely outstanding!! You must try Kapow Sushi and Thai!!! We were heading elsewhere and made a last minute decision to try Kapow! I am so glad we did!! We were in Thailand last December and it rivals the wonderful food we had there. The sashimi appetizers were excellent and super fresh. We had the spicy conch and octopus (NOT TOO SPICY, just perfect) and the sashimi bowl. Also wonderful. I had the spicy yellowtail roll (again not too spicy) and my husband had the rainbow roll. The scallops in green curry sauce was too die for!!! We will absolutely be back!! It is very close to our home. It is located in the strip center where Walmart Neighborhood Market was. We live off Johnson Ferry Rd and it is perfect for bringing take home also. Which I know we will do!!! I would make the ride if it was farther away, because it is THAT GOOD!!! read more

We were going to go to Thaicoon in the square (which we like) for late lunch today, but they didn't open until 5pm. So I did I bunch of research (mostly on yelp), and we finally decided on this place - Kapow. Glad I did. Was really good! Sushi was really fresh and tasty and the Thai food was excellent! Seemed more traditional I think than Thaicoon - crunchy fresh vegetables and big chunks of good meat.... More homemade - if you lived in Thailand. Service was excellent, attentive and very nice. At this time, this is my favorite restaurant in Marietta -- truly a hidden gem. The restaurant is spotless, and one of the few places in Marietta where you can actually relax and have a conversation without shouting over loud music or noise. It's quiet, cozy, and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is consistently excellent. We've eaten here at least eight times now, and have never been disappointed. The menu has so many great choices. Today I had the Lunch Red Curry with chicken (medium spicy) -- full of vegetables and absolutely delicious. I'll admit, I hesitated to write this review because I don't want to face big crowds here -- but they genuinely deserve more business. Wow, just well. Went on a random Tuesday night. We were quickly seated, and the waitress was very attentive throughout the meal. The crab Rangoon we had were well cooked, not too greasy, and my chicken.Panting curry and my wife's shrimp pad Thai were both fantastic - the vegetables were crisp and not overcooked, the pad Thai noodles were done just right, and the spiciness of the curry was appropriate to let the rest of the ingredients shine through while still being noticeable. New Years eve dinner for four. Ordered lots of sushi to be shared. Each roll was fresh and uniquely tasty. The tuna tartar is the best ever. Servers were continually attentive. Since we ordered sushi several times during dinner, having some check back periodically was great. We were never without drinks or had too many plates on the table. We stopped in here for a late lunch, 2ish, after a funeral with 9 people. We only gave them a few minutes notice but they had our table set up and welcomed up promptly. The food is fine, but the fried rice and noodles could definitely use a bit more flavor. I always ask for spicy, but it's never spicy. especially for Thai food, which is known for its distinct level of heat. The sushi, though, is better than the Thai food. Also, the timing could use some work. Every time I place a to-go order, I'm told it'll be ready in 20-25 minutes, but when I get there, it's still not ready, and I end up waiting longer than expected. Would be great if that could get fixed soon. read more

They asked for a specific chef. The chef comes and sees them and tells them welcome back, then proceeds to start doing excessive customizations to their orders. Which is fine, but then he shorts the other half of the table. The family of five were all given triple rice while the other half of the table were given one serving of rice even though two of us ordered double. The family of 5 were treated like kings. The rest of us, what food we did get was overcooked, under seasoned, and barely portioned, except for veggies which we got more of because the family of 5 didn't want them. However it just.....felt very unfortunate to pay so much money only to leave with barely any food and without having received all we paid for, I won't be coming back again. Customer retention is important but it's nice to extend that attitude to new customers as well. I did call and speak to the manager to see if we were overcharged. He said no and I was going to let it go. Originally I wasn't going to write a review, but after we found the receipt and seeing we WERE charged for food we did not receive? It's just poor customer service. In this economy I can't justify coming back or trying again.
