    Kappa Poké Bowl
    Tibisay H.

OMG...! I was already hungry, but you know when you're hungry but not like you want to eat the whole donkey? I was THAT hungry... I saw the picture of what they call a Salmon Burger, but instead of a bun, it was rice on top and at the bottom, filled in with - as far as it looked like in the picture, Salmon Tartare, so I told to myself, "that's exactly what I want", so I went to order it. Once the Asian guy, who was very friendly and nice, understood that I just wanted one layer of rice instead of two, I saw the picture of the "Kappa Poké Bowl", and I WENT ALL IN!!! O H M Y G O D ! ! ! ! If you're a Sushi lover, and you like raw Salmon and Tuna, this is THE BEST plate you could ever try, hands down...!! The place look impecable in cleanliness, the workers are SUPER friendly, and the food qualifies, to me, as HEALTHY FOOD. YOU SHOULD COME AND TRY IT OUT!!!!

It's great to have a healthy option in your favorite mall. I'm not sure how long they've been open, but staff was a bit inattentive and disorganized. But pleasant enough. I got the chicken poke bowl which came with sushi Rice, chicken, edamame, radishes, carrots, sesame seeds, coconut flakes and ponzu sauce. I got spicy mayo on the side. My daughter got a make your own bowl. The bowls look delicious and tasted pretty good, too.

Fire Dragon Roll TORCHED right there and its nice and hot.

Salmon Tacos are one of my favorite foods and Kappa makes a really good pair for $6. Great price, fresh and tangy. The Fire Dragon Roll was cool because the dynamite sauce was torched just before they served it. I also got some home-made matcha cookies which were very tasty and had white chocolate chips in it. Inside the food court in Dadeland Mall.

    Disappointing shrimp Sushi Burger

Stopped by to try the advertised shrimp Sushi Burger since it was shown to be in stock unlike most of the items/ingredients on the menu which weren't. The worker NEVER informed me that the meal I asked for DIDN'T have all the MAIN ESSENTIAL ingredients to prepare it. I payed full price for it AND payed BEFORE she made it so I never had the opportunity to speak up. I asked her whether I could be compensated with a drink or something for the disappointing replacement of the missing ingredients (red onions replaced plantains for example...) and she refused. Leaving defeated with the lousy changes and horrible customer service (which I tipped on before hand ), I sat to eat that pathetic ball of rice. It was the most underwhelming blandest meal I've ever payed $15 for. I am extremely upset with that experience and wish others to eat elsewhere for better quality food and customer service.

This place was trash. The rice was not fresh and the quality was awful. I do not recommend at all. And they barely add any

Having moved to Miami in the past year I am in search of the perfect poke lunch. I will be posting all the stops along my journey on the yelp over the next week or so. I have tried each of these establishments at least three times now and feel comfortable evaluating their take out. I have tried to stick loosely to the same order so the comparisons remain objective. Today's choice was Poke88. I ordered a large bowl which at this establishment is three proteins. As usual, I chose tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna as my three proteins. I had it prepared on a salad base. They have a limited number of vegetable choices and only allowed choosing five which is a bit disappointing as there are three more that I would've liked to have included in my meal. I chose red cabbage, cucumber, carrots, red onions, and edamame beans, but was unable to also select sweet corn, mangoes, and carrots which to me would've made it a much more perfect meal. I added spicy mayo and eel sauce. For toppings, I picked Masago, crispy garlic, furikake, avocado, and seaweed salad. Again, there were others I would like to add like ginger, scallions, and crispy onions, but was limited to five. Wasabi was not even offered. The best part about the bowl was it the fish was very fresh. The worst part was very little of it. And there was almost no Masago. if there was crispy garlic, it had lost its crispy before arriving. The avocado was a nice portion and it was fresh and delicious. Overall, for a large bowl, this was an extremely small portion size with very little fish. The fish itself was a high-quality and tasted quite good. The spicy mayo lacked any spice at all so if I order again, I will make sure to order a higher level of spice. I did enjoy the meal but based upon the price and the portion size, I am not sure that I will order from there again. I would write this with approximately 3 1/2 stars, but that is not a choice and based upon the quality of the food I would rather round up to four stars however this establishment did not match up well with my favorite from my prior location and compared to the other local poke places, I would have to say the overall experience is only average despite the fish quality being mildly better.

For toppings I had crab meat, green and white onions, dried seaweed, sesame seeds, and miso sauce. The food was so good. It hit the spot perfectly. The salmon was fairly spicy (I have a high spice tolerance). The portion was also huge. I should have really only had half lol. It was pretty pricey, but again for the portion it makes sense. I had the bowl and a bottled water, and I tipped 15% and it was $27 plus change. I was the first one there as I walked in right when they opened. The person working was friendly, and someone even took my tray for me when I was done even though there's a place for you to throw away your trash and place your trays. The ambiance was simple but nice. There were some toy machines as decor, and a nice blue color scheme. It was very clean inside. I will definitely be back!

The Fried Calamari were HUUUGE and meaty and the flying dragon roll was so delicious, just also had a little more cream cheese than we'd prefer. The service was great, the food came out SUPER quick and everything was made hot and fresh and we almost couldn't believe how quickly everything came out. Multiple servers would stop by our table to see if we needed anything and that was great. Service was a 10/10. The ambiance is very heavily Anime Themed (hence the name) so if you're into that kind of thing this place is like heaven for you. Overall had a great time, food was great, service was great. And certainly does ramen right. Manga Ninja hero Naruto Uzumaki's absolute favorite food is ramen, specifically the miso-based pork broth ramen from Ichiraku Ramen. His namesake restaurant stays true to his favorite food and does it impeccably. My go to is the Chicken Tonkotsu with add dumplings. I must admit that I have not tried the sushi and do not plan to because the reviews of it are pretty mediocre. But the Ramen is top notch. The bubble teas are delicious. The vibe is just so cool. I really enjoy this restaurant and highly recommend it for what is the clear winner for best Ramen in the area.

Came here today for my second visit and had another great experience…read more We started with the shrimp tempura appetizer. It came out piping hot and was so good with the soy sauce on the side. I loved that it wasn't overloaded with batter, you actually got a generous amount of shrimp. At a lot of places, it's mostly breading, but that definitely wasn't the case here. My boyfriend and I both ordered ramen, and honestly, it was probably the best ramen I've had so far. I got the Tonkotsu ramen and it was a 10/10. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was cooked perfectly! Tender, soft, and not overly fatty. I added some sriracha and it took it to the next level. My boyfriend ordered the miso ramen and really enjoyed it as well. The only downside during this visit was the fruit tea. We ordered three different drinks and they all tasted a little off. I first got the lychee fruit tea at 25% sweetness, but it honestly tasted like gardenia perfume.....No joke, I couldn't get past the first sip at all. Then tried the passion fruit tea at 50% sweetness, which was better, but it still had a strange aftertaste. My boyfriend ordered the strawberry fruit tea, and it tasted watered down. What's odd is that the fruit teas were delicious the last time i came, so maybe something was just off today. That said, the service is always great. I like that you can order either through the touchscreen kiosk or directly with the cashier. The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it's a great place to sit, enjoy your food, and hang out. Will definitely be back!

Tasty Ramen in Cutler Bay has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Tucked neatly into the new Publix shopping center at the intersection of Old Cutler Road and Marlin Road, it's pretty easy to miss it if you're not inside the parking lot already. The restaurant inside is relatively small, but good enough for small groups (3-4 people). I've gone alone a bunch of times, and ordered for take-out twice as much and the quality of the ramen is consistently good. The Tasty Ramen is my favorite. Broth is flavor packed and the contrast of the chicken and pork belly is delicious. Noodles are made perfectly too. I've also ordered the edamame (yummy), Korean chicken wings (so good!), gyoza (basic, but good), Lychee Tea (really tasty) and Curry Chicken Donburi (2 stars). Wasn't a huge fan of the Donburi, but to be fair, it was my first time ever trying it, so I may give it another shot, just to be absolutely sure. Service is good. The employees in the back work hard to get the food out quick so it's hot and fresh every time.

All of these were ordered as delivery from DoorDash. Today's choice was poke & Tea. I ordered thr Poke and salad bowl which at this establishment is one protein with the option to add a second. I chose tuna and added salmon, and I had it prepared on a salad base. What was great is they did not force me to accept their chosen mix but allowed me to specify spinach and lettuce (romaine). Then, there were two choices which differ from other places, which I really liked. The first was a sauce as a mix in for the protein, and the second is the actual mix-ins separate from the add-ons . I chose to have the red onion, the green onion, and the sesame seeds. I really didn't see any red onion so it was either left out or too small amount was used. My sauce of choice was spicy mayo, and there is an option to have it on the side or mixed in. At the time of the order I would have preferred to have the option of a third protein, but after receiving it and seeing the generous portions, I was more than satisfied with what I chose. For the other ingredients they limit to five, which as I have noted in other reviews bothers me a bit as I like both the taste and the aesthetic of adding a lot of colorful fruits and vegetables. For my five I chose carrot, masago, edamame, avocado (for an upcharge), and tamago. I have never seen tamago as a choice and it was actually an awesome addition. I do think that adding tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, corn, and maybe broccoli would've added to the enjoyment of the salad itself, adding ginger and seaweed salad to the experience of the sashimi, and a few of the fruits could have added a sweetness and some color. However, I would say that the a limited number of ingredient choices was offset by the rather generous amounts with the exception of the Masago, which was diminutive in comparison. I did like the ability to choose a separate topping sauce for which I chose the poke special sauce but again with the crunchy toppings was limited to only choosing to and I would've liked to choose a third so that I could have crispy, garlic, crispy onion, and furakake. Overall, the bowl was awesome as the fish was very fresh and the portion great. None of this in any way, distracted from it being an exceptional meal that I really enjoyed and so far it is the top pokey that I have had in the area. With a few tweaks that I have noted, it could be the top that I've had anywhere. When glance at the picture and you can tell for yourself that this was one exceptional poke salad bowl.
