Wow! Miyako is cute and cozy, but the size of the rolls are humongous! We weren't used to that and clearly ordered too much, but it was delicious. I personally would like to see a higher protein to rice ratio, but it was good nonetheless. The rocket roll was AMAZING! It was a sweet and savory combination bursting with flavor. Sunset roll was second and had a nice spice to it. Last roll was the beauty and the beast. This was good too, but it was certainly the rocket that stole the show. We also had the seaweed salad, edamame, steak shrimp shumai and the beef gyoza (my friend had this and said it was good). Kim, Michelle, Mason and Sung (this guy is HILARIOUS) provided us with excellent service! We had no room for dessert but next time we will. Check them out, support local and enjoy!

The entire staff especially the owner were amazing. The sushi rolls were delicious. The ginger salad and miso soup were good too. The owner was accommodating with my children, the stroller and the picky eater. The service was better than the food and the reason why I'll always come back. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!

The restaurant refused service to me and my service dog. The lady snapped "SHE CANNOT BE IN HERE!" when she is not a pet. My beautiful dog was frightened by the way she snapped. I was disgusted by this treatment! Will not be returning.

Went today for the first time. Very nice service and very accommodating. We were able to sit wherever we liked which is thought was nice. The ambiance was okay, it's a small place and seems very chill, a little more decor inside wouldn't hurt. I'm a picky eater but their food selection was great. I really enjoyed their Pork Katsu and their chicken friend rice, probably one of the best I've had in a while. We also had pan fried gyozas which i thought were 10/10 wish it would bring more than five, I could eat about 20 of them. Highly recommend this place.

A great selection of fresh sushi for a reasonable price in South Miami. I come here frequently and usually switch between ordering the boat (if I'm with friends) or the Sashimi Mori entree. The Sashimi Mori is a delicious platter of just fish. It comes with a side of white rice, but I usually tell the server to hold it because the fish alone is very filling. The plate features a fresh selection of thickly cut salmon, tuna, hamachi, imitation crab, and a couple of slices of octopus. It's always extremely fresh. It also comes with either a ginger salad or miso soup. The ginger dressing is great. I have also tried the following rolls that I highly recommend: Spider Roll American Roll Dragon Roll Dadeland Roll A (for a healthier option) Service is good and the ambiance is nice. You can dress casually or a bit on the nicer end, either work.

Cute little Japanese spot in South Miami, honestly I don't know how I didn't try them earlier. Our waitresses English was limited, but she was very cute and helpful. The food came out relatively quickly, and I have to say it was very tasty. I'm definitely going back to try other items on the menu.

This place is my favorite to go for everything. The curry tastes homemade, the rolls are huge and delicious, the service is excellent, and the vibes are immaculate. Would highly recommend

I only go here specifically for their cold dipping soba noodles. The only place I can find in the area that even makes them at all and they're stellar at it. Servers are kind and very cozy traditional Japanese ambiance. Do not go to the Cajun Boil across the street avoid at all costs. Go here.

Slow service, small portions that are overpriced, food was okay but their meat is not tender at all either.

They also have some nice cocktails and a Happy Hour menu. I would highly recommend you try Pubbelly Sushi. We were in for dinner on Sunday night and ordered two appetizers - the Edamame and the Tuna Tartare which comes with seaweed chips - super fresh and yummy. I have been wanting to try their wings which I heard were really good so I ordered the Korean Wings. Cooked perfectly (crispy) and very tasty! My wife had the Tempura Roll which she has been wanting to try (she always gets the Butter Crab Roll). She really liked it but admitted the former is her favorite Roll of any sushi place so she'll get that again next time. My son raved about the Sake Aburi. He loved it. And my young daughter always gets the Kids' California (Roll) Box which she loves. We had Cocktails: Tokyo Mule (nice!), Prosecco and my son had a Kirin Ichiban (Japanese Beer). The dessert menu is a bit limited *but* we shared one of the best desserts I've had. GET THE MISO BREAD PUDDING! You wouldn't think a Sushi place would have good bread pudding but this one is delicious... comes with Miso Ice Cream topping (so good! Trust me!) And sweet sesame crisps. Get it and thank me! See pics of our great dinner at Pubbelly. Also - service was good.

Recently, we moved to this area and have made this our go-to Thai restaurant and we also love their sashimi when you just want some great fresh slices of hamachi. Recently, I tried their pad thai. I am not normally a pad thai lover however, this pad thai is made with angel hair type noodles that really soak up the delicious sauce. Included in the chicken pad Thai is also perfectly cooked tofu and delicious pork rinds. Honestly, its so good that it can satisfy a pasta craving also. Their tom kha soup is also in my opinion the best in Miami. It's not overly watery or just coconut milk like most offerings. Pla tu makes it with fresh herbs and has a little bit of heat mixed in. It's so good. The pieces of chicken and mushrooms are also tender and not overly boiled like most tom kha soups. We also go for the sushi. Their sashimi is extremely fresh and we can never turn down some fresh sliced hamachi here. Lastly, yesterday we tried the Thai Donuts. I am not normally a fan but the waitress insisted we try and boy are we glad we did. They were warm pillows that melted in our mouths and we scarfed them down. I don't think I will ever visit again without ordering them. I love this place. Service is great. Food is consistently delicious and I will always be back.

I will say the sushi roll itself (while not necessarily small) was not all that large/filling, so I would recommend getting something else on the side. I liked that their roll and appetizers had a fun flavor and uniqueness that I haven't seen at other places. But I will say the prices are a little expensive but I guess average for Miami area. I was surprised to find single-use chopsticks over reusable ones. A small detail in an otherwise fairly nice restaurant that did kind of stick out to me. The vibe kind of felt like a mix of a slightly more upscale restaurant, but also kind of minimalist modern if that makes sense? Additionally, our service was a bit slow, with our waiter right over our shoulder asking if we were ready to place our order, no then not being around for the rest of the meal. Maybe it was just an off night though, and the food did come out fairly quickly. Overall I did enjoy my meal here, and I would probably come back eventually when I want something slightly more upscale. But on a day-to-day I would probably go Edward for my sushi fix. Not that the food was bad by any meals. I really enjoyed the fun and different flavor combinations, it's just a little pricy to go to everyday, and in my opinion the main portion sizes don't quite reflect that or have any particular flare to them aside from a colorful/flavorful sauce or topping in them. Recommend a try if you are nearby though to see for yourself.

We ended up here on NYE for a quickie bite before heading to Fairchild's Night Garden. The vibe is kitschy and fun and the menu hits the sweet spot for Japonophiles with a curated assortment of faves from takoyaki to tonkotsu and even onigiri. On this night we wanted to keep it light so we started with the Japanese pickles which were a vibrant and crisp mix of veggies. Then a miso soup with fried rolled tofu sheets and lots of fresh green onions. We can never pass up his and hers unagi nigiri, and these were perfection: warm, sweet, and buttery on the tongue. Then it was time for makimono. Sushi in Japan tends to be simpler with a focus on expertly cut fresh fish, but at Umaimon they depart from the classics to play to the American palate with ingredients like cream cheese and mango. Now these are not the most creative offerings you'll find in the 305, but they do offer solid choices done well. He had the Twin Dragon and I couldn't pass on the Sugar Daddy. Now, is this the best Japanese/sushi place you're going to find in Miami? Probably not. But is it the most kawaii? Quite possibly. If you too have fallen in love with Japan but can't afford another plane ticket, Umaimon comes in clutch delivering faves in an unassuming spot.
