I would have to say that poke is my favorite thing to eat for lunch and it is something that can be ordered for delivery that will arrive tasting as good as it would have at the restaurant. Having moved to Miami in the past year I am in search of the perfect poke lunch. I will be posting all the stops along my journey on the yelp over the next week or so. I have tried each of these establishments at least three times now and feel comfortable evaluating their take out. I have tried to stick loosely to the same order so the comparisons remain objective. All of these were ordered as delivery from DoorDash. Today's choice was poke & Tea. I ordered thr Poke and salad bowl which at this establishment is one protein with the option to add a second. I chose tuna and added salmon, and I had it prepared on a salad base. What was great is they did not force me to accept their chosen mix but allowed me to specify spinach and lettuce (romaine). Then, there were two choices which differ from other places, which I really liked. The first was a sauce as a mix in for the protein, and the second is the actual mix-ins separate from the add-ons . I chose to have the red onion, the green onion, and the sesame seeds. I really didn't see any red onion so it was either left out or too small amount was used. My sauce of choice was spicy mayo, and there is an option to have it on the side or mixed in. At the time of the order I would have preferred to have the option of a third protein, but after receiving it and seeing the generous portions, I was more than satisfied with what I chose. For the other ingredients they limit to five, which as I have noted in other reviews bothers me a bit as I like both the taste and the aesthetic of adding a lot of colorful fruits and vegetables. For my five I chose carrot, masago, edamame, avocado (for an upcharge), and tamago. I have never seen tamago as a choice and it was actually an awesome addition. I do think that adding tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, corn, and maybe broccoli would've added to the enjoyment of the salad itself, adding ginger and seaweed salad to the experience of the sashimi, and a few of the fruits could have added a sweetness and some color. However, I would say that the a limited number of ingredient choices was offset by the rather generous amounts with the exception of the Masago, which was diminutive in comparison. I did like the ability to choose a separate topping sauce for which I chose the poke special sauce but again with the crunchy toppings was limited to only choosing to and I would've liked to choose a third so that I could have crispy, garlic, crispy onion, and furakake. Overall, the bowl was awesome as the fish was very fresh and the portion great. None of this in any way, distracted from it being an exceptional meal that I really enjoyed and so far it is the top pokey that I have had in the area. With a few tweaks that I have noted, it could be the top that I've had anywhere. When glance at the picture and you can tell for yourself that this was one exceptional poke salad bowl. read more

Poke & Tea is an excellent Poke bowl place that scratches my itch for my long time favorite Domoishi, who still don't have a location in Miami-Dade. The Pencil and Menu feature to build your poke bowl exactly how you want to is a very welcome feature. A fully loaded Poke bowl without paying for extra ingredients comes out to $16 which is very reasonable. The Boba drinks and milkshakes were also very good and the custom machines they have to shake the drinks and put lids on the bottles are also very cute. No complaints here from me! They are off to a great start! When new places open up in Cutler Bay we generally check them out quickly! So as soon as we saw the notice that a Poke place was opening nearby off we went. Located in the nearby strip mall, Poke & Tea is geared towards offering high-quality bowls quickly. Even with the standard snafus of a new eatery, we had 3 bowls in 10 minutes. The menu is set up so you just check off what you want like a sushi menu. The bowls come packaged in the cutest reusable plastic containers! I already have plans to turn mine into a micro Seed Starter greenhouse. The bowl I made was all very fresh and quality produce. The diced Sushi Egg was my standout. It reminded me of Tomago. If you are into Wasabi you need to try theirs. Pungent is an understatement! It seriously opened my sinuses! And as soon as it wore off I found myself dipping back into it. My husband and I have been scouting out this poke place for a while and they finally opened. We've already gone twice and we brought friends. This place does not disappoint. The staff is very nice but a bit quiet. The poke is fresh and you can watch them making you bowl from behind a protective glass. Everything is kept in a glass top cooler which is great because you see the ingredients before hand and they're safely refrigerated. You fill out a card with your favorite toppings, pay, then you pick up your poke about 5-10 minutes later. One of the best poke places I've been to by far. I recommend the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. They also have a special sauce that's like a ponzu and it goes great with a rice bowl. Also, try the boba tea with mango bobas, so good! What a neat spot! I ordered a mango lychee tea which was delicious, a bit too sweet for me though. I then had a spicy tuna poke bowl. My salad had spicy salmon with fried wonton, cucumber, green onions, red cabbage, carrots, ginger and avocado with mango sauce. I ordered a Thai Tea + Spicy Tuna and Crab Rice Bowl Now, if you're craving Thai tea, don't come here, I don't know what I received, it tasted fruity almost as if the milk was flavored or they added a flavored syrup. It was also very watery...NOT a Thai tea at all! I literally trashed it. Now the bowl... I asked about the sauces - the young lady said they are all like "soy sauce just different" spicy Mayo was on the list...obviously that's nothing like soy sauce. First impression - two strips of imitation crab right on top. Typically in poke places they shred it up make a salad out of it, not here. Aside from that, the bowl was tasty and fresh. Good amount of food too, not too small. This place could do really great in this area as there is no other Poke Bowl place near by. Second time being at Poke & Tea, but it will be the last time. Just a heads up, do not get the spicy salmon or spicy tuna protein option for the poke bowls. It is grounded to mush and mixed with spicy Mayo sauce. You will not taste any tuna or salmon. Just a horrible amount of spicy Mayo glob. They should make it like the other poke places but they decided to ground it which is a really bad idea. The ratio is most likely 25% protein and 75% spicy Mayo when you pick that protein option. The only good thing was the tea. Which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. read more

I must say I loved this place and would visit twice a week for poke and boba... but after going today and seeing that they AGAIN changed the size of their containers I am super disappointed and don't see myself coming anymore. I love poke and I am so excited that we have a place like this in Cutler Bay. You basically pick your base if you want a burrito (wrap is seaweed), a rice bowl or a salad. You pick your greens. Then from there you pick 1 - 2 proteins depending on which one you order. Then you add mix-ins, sauce , toppings, and crunch. So many items to select from! I had a salad with tuna, lettuce, spring mix, kale, cucumber, red cabbage, avocado ($1.50 extra), tomato, carrot, poke special sauce (this was delicious!), green onion, cilantro, and friend wonton noodle. I also had one of the bubble teas with tapioca in it. I picked the peach fruit tea. My hubby had a strawberry tea and he also had a salad. He really enjoyed both the tea and the salad. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the kids thought their rice bowls were ok. I thought the rice was good, but one of them flat out didn't like it.
