I absolutely love this poke place! I have been going to them for 5+ years (before it was called J-Petal), and I always get the same thing: Spicy Krab & Shrimp Signature Bowl. Sometimes, I treat myself to a Mango Bubble Tea with Tapioca Pearls, and they are both delicious. Even after moving further away from it, I still sometimes drive out of the way to get it if I am in the mood for a poke bowl. If you want to spice it up, I have bought sushi paper rolls, and I put my poke bowl into it to make a burrito. Although I mostly get my order to go, the place is nice and clean, and there are always tables available. The team is nice and always helpful, and it's super easy to order to-go meals from their website. The place is in a plaza. So, there's always free parking available. read more

One of my favorite places to visit when I visit. The poke is always fresh. I always order the salmon and have never had a bad experience. Though there was a recent price increase from the last time I went. The staff are friendly and patient. There is a variety of toppings. In a city that has more than enough poke restaurants, it is pretty hard to stand out but Hawaiian Poke is up to the task. When I want poke, they're really poor thing that I look for. First the ingredients, whether it be the fish or the vegetables or even the fruit must be fresh and full of flavor. They certainly checked off that box. Secondly, there must be a variety of mixing and toppings that will complement the fish well and add to the overall taste. They check off that box as well. Third, there should be an array of sauces to satisfy any palate and as one who orders my poke on salad, I prefer one that is sweet and one that is spicy. But most importantly, the two must compliment each other so different. Fourth and finally the presentation should be one that is visually enjoyable as the flavor. Winner again. And yes, there is the usual value for my dollar and excellent service that are necessary to round out the experience which are expected at any restaurant and here they succeed as well. Until I stay with absolutely no hesitation that this is truly a stand out Poke restaurant with delicious food presented exquisitely with wonderful service in a very clean and comfortable restaurant that is so packed with flavor that you will want to return again and again. Hawaiian Poke is a great bang for your buck! It is situated right bext to campus. Their serving size is massive and you are able to make your own bowls. I wasn't able to finish my bowl so I kept it for a second meal. They were easy to find and there was a lot of parking since they are located in the plaza. There were also a lot of seats available. The ambience was similar to a fast food where you order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. Their service was very quick and the food was very fresh. My go to spot when I am craving a Poke bowl. I love the medium sized bowl because it can feed me for two meals, so I get lunch and dinner! The employees there are quick, efficient, and kind, and one of my favorite aspects is that avocado added to your bowl doesn't cost extra!!!! I always get a sushi rice bowl with tuna and all the delicious fixings on top (edamame, carrots, seaweed salad, etc.) the restaurant itself is also very clean and cozy if you decide to eat there rather than take to go! I have yet to try their crepes, but I do love their bubble tea! My favorite is the taro and the matcha for a perfect afternoon pick me up! Highly recommend Hawaiian poke it's the best! read more

I just ordered some food on Uber Eats and its safe to say im obsessed. I just got a large, not knowing how big it would be and im gonna have food for a WHILE. On top of being a lot of food it's also amazing. The customization you can do from person to person is ASTONISHING. There is so much variety- in both customization of the bowl AND what drink you get. I ordered the peach jasmine tea with mango jelly and i was pleasantly surprised to see the mango jelly was little stars it was so cute- and the drink was so refreshing and great for something like that. Also, I liked the miso soup so much last time i got 2 for the week. I've been coming here for a while, but I think it was the little star mango jellies that pushed me into wanting to make a review. Ordered some food off uber eats and got a poke bowl filled with so many different things, with a taro boba tea, banana chocolate chip cake, a bag of chips and a flan. It was all pretty good. The boba was a little watered down but that's probably from the Uber drive back, the ice must've melted. All in all, the food was delicious and the portions were pretty big and very affordable. I was introduced to this place not to long ago and I keep going back! Is it delicious but I feel like it's the best bang for your buck. I normally get the small build your own protein bowl and get crab and it's very filling. You get to choose between sushi, rice, or brown rice, and your protein/proteins of choice. I like that they don't change extra for toppings and they have various sauces and add-ons. A small bowl is normally $12. It's tiny inside but there are tables to sit. I'm happy I found a decent rice bowl place and at an economical price. It's my new go to place when I'm in the area. read more

This is about a 25 minute drive from me but I didn't mind it because the pictures and reviews seemed to make it worth it...and it was. My friend was the one that suggested we go here because she had been there before and claims this is her favorite POKE spot. I don't blame her for liking it so much, this place is awesome. I love that they have 3 sizes, small/medium/large. I chose the medium because I have a big appetite and I wanted to try two different proteins which comes included. I chose spicy salmon and spicy crab....let's just say be prospered because I think the spicy salmon was actually really spicy...at least it didn't lack taste. You have tons of different options to top it off with from fruit to veggies and sauces. I liked that they don't try to charge you for every single little thing...a lot of is already included in the flat rate. Customer service? Amazing! The staff was friendly and even put some topping on my bowl after I had paid & started eating without giving me any hesitation. Plenty of parking spaces as it's located in a shopping center. It's literally right across from FIU by 107th. This place is busy so be prepared to wait a bit even if it's almost closing time. At least you know you'll be getting fresh food since they keep the food moving. Overall loved this place and can't wait to go again. Highlyyyyyyy recommend it! read more

Decided to drop by after the great reviews. I did a build your own bowl with 3 proteins came out to about $17 typical poke price for the extra meat. The experience however was honestly what made me say **** this place. My biggest mistake was asking if any sauce doesn't have a lot of sugar or Oil in it. She then proceeds to be insulting about every part of my order. I weight-lift as a hobby and watch my calories. When I go for lunch on a work day I just want to get my food and get out. The poke bowls and bubble tea as exquisite. All the ingredients taste fresh and the variety of toppings is incomparable. I love that they mix the toppings and protein with the sauces of your choosing before placing them on the rice. The Bubble tea has the perfect proportion and isn't too sweet. It's my favorite spot to grab poke because its delicious, quick and easy to go in and out. Even though its usually pretty busy, theres little wait time at the counter. I usually make my own bowl, and there's many toppings to add and choose from (from pineapple to seaweed salad and other veggies). The fish always tastes fresh, and it keeps me coming back for more. Our next food adventure take us to Hawaiian Poke FIU located in Miami FL at lunch time, with a category of 4.7 with more than 410 comments of which are 5 stars which I think it deserves. Comparing this to my favorite Poké Bowl Spot in the world, which is Domoishi up in Broward County, Hawaiian Poké definitely has a more authentic feel to it especially with the interior decorations and kitchen design. I love the fact that they mix all of the ingredients and sauces for you before you add your toppings. The only thing I wish they would implement is a Self Checkout machine for those of us that like to build our own bowls, because cracking my head to the side to select from the gigantic list of ingredients is not the most convenient way to order a custom bowl. Overall though, I think this place cements the rise and takeover of the Poké Bowl as the new king of counter-selected foods (compare to Chipotle or Subway) and this place definitely deserves it's Five Star reputation for the incredible food and drinks. read more

There's a poke place by my house but I drive 20 minutes to get here. Right now they are only doing takeout so you have to order online. Make sure that you request the sauce on the side, otherwise they will put it on the salad even though it's takeout. It takes about 35 minutes to get your order. The Hawaiian Classic is my favorite! I love the cilantro and chilli sauces. The whole bowl is fresh and delicious. I love it! Yesterday my son got the taro bubble tea. He enjoyed it. My daughter says that she's going to start ordering it too because it tastes like Fruity Pebbles. I don't know. I didn't try it. My daughter likes to make her own bowl. She gets sushi rice, raw salmon, spring mix salad, Hawaiian salt, cilantro, red onions, avocado, scallions, masago, furikake, sesame seeds and onion crisps with cilantro and yum yum sauce. I go out of my way to eat at this poke spot out of all the others in Miami--It. Dont. Miss. This spot is a build-your-own-bowl show but they have a few premade menu bowls if you're indecisive and even offer cooked protein options if you don't mess with raw fish or are on a particular diet. I don't have a usual bowl because I like to mix it up depending on my mood but the food always slaps. Literally so freaking delicious it makes my toes curl and my hair stand up on its ends. The type of yummy that when you take your first bite, you're zoned out looking at the wall just nodding and chewing. Uh huh.. Hawaiian Poke's ingredients are super fresh. I've been to other over-hyped poke places all over Miami that let their produce and sauces sit out forever. Those places are always MEH, not to mention overpriced. Meanwhile, I seriously have never had a bad experience with my food here--they're consistent with their ingredient quality and prep. The ordering process is an assembly line, similar to Chipotle. The workers are always sweet and the place can get pretty busy because of its plaza location and proximity to FIU. The interior isn't flashy but it's cute and clean (bless) with good amount of seating. All in all, this poke spot is a gem and is definitely worth the drive every time! It is located on a shopping strip mall, very small (no seating at all inside) with 4 tiny chairs and 2 tiny tables on the outside. That being said we were still happy because we tried Korean hotdogs for the first time. For these, you can order the inside with only cheese, only hot dog or half cheese half hotdog. For the coating you can pick between panko, crunchy ramen, potato, sweet potato, rainbow cereal or Oreo. You can then add toppings and sauces. What we originally came for though were the boba teas and they have a good variety for these. Mixes can be done with milk teas, green teas, lemon teas, jasmine teas, matcha... and different types of boba pearls. They also have smoothies. I'd like to try their chicken gyozas, PAN-FRIED CHICKEN DUMPLINGS WITH CHEESE & BACON TOPPING. Keep in mind no seating at all indoors and extremely limited seating outdoors but the name says it "Tea Studio", meaning its main focus is tea items and it's a small space.

I'm new to the tea/boba world, so I always ask a ton of questions and for recommendations. The staff is always super helpful, patient and kind. Once they didn't have boba, so I asked for a similar recommendation and they recommended grass jelly. It was my first time trying it & honestly it wasn't bad. The texture was similar to boba and it didn't really have a taste. My brother really enjoyed it! Pretty good substitution! The ambiance is chill. Only one big table and a couple of smaller tables. However most people take it to go. Love that there's a parking garage so you don't have to go crazy looking for parking. Can't wait to go back and try to special teas!

So delicious that we finished them so fast I forgot to even take a picture We also took home two cookies to enjoy with our coffee the next morning: the Dubai chocolate cookie and the Oreo cookie. Both were incredible! The workers were extremely nice, let us try flavors, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. The place was also very clean and had such a good atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

We got the sausage filled with Comte cheese. This is one of the best items on the menu. Must order. We ordered the agnolotti and cavatelli. The duck cavatelli is an excellent pasta dish. The crab agnolotti is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, if not the best (contenders are Torrisi and Lilia so you know I know). When you bite into the agnolotti, it bursts like a soup dumpling filled with rich corn butter and cream. It's quite literally magical. You have to appreciate the genius and talent that went into this dish. We finished with the hanger steak - perfectly cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed it with potato butter and green peppercorn sauce. If you're craving some delicious Poke, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The place is relaxing, with colorful decor. Having moved to Miami in the past year I am in search of the perfect poke lunch. I will be posting all the stops along my journey on the yelp over the next week or so. I have tried each of these establishments at least three times now and feel comfortable evaluating their take out. I have tried to stick loosely to the same order so the comparisons remain objective. All of these were ordered as delivery from DoorDash. Today's choice was poke & Tea. I ordered thr Poke and salad bowl which at this establishment is one protein with the option to add a second. I chose tuna and added salmon, and I had it prepared on a salad base. What was great is they did not force me to accept their chosen mix but allowed me to specify spinach and lettuce (romaine). Then, there were two choices which differ from other places, which I really liked. The first was a sauce as a mix in for the protein, and the second is the actual mix-ins separate from the add-ons . I chose to have the red onion, the green onion, and the sesame seeds. I really didn't see any red onion so it was either left out or too small amount was used. My sauce of choice was spicy mayo, and there is an option to have it on the side or mixed in. At the time of the order I would have preferred to have the option of a third protein, but after receiving it and seeing the generous portions, I was more than satisfied with what I chose. For the other ingredients they limit to five, which as I have noted in other reviews bothers me a bit as I like both the taste and the aesthetic of adding a lot of colorful fruits and vegetables. For my five I chose carrot, masago, edamame, avocado (for an upcharge), and tamago. I have never seen tamago as a choice and it was actually an awesome addition. I do think that adding tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, corn, and maybe broccoli would've added to the enjoyment of the salad itself, adding ginger and seaweed salad to the experience of the sashimi, and a few of the fruits could have added a sweetness and some color. However, I would say that the a limited number of ingredient choices was offset by the rather generous amounts with the exception of the Masago, which was diminutive in comparison. I did like the ability to choose a separate topping sauce for which I chose the poke special sauce but again with the crunchy toppings was limited to only choosing to and I would've liked to choose a third so that I could have crispy, garlic, crispy onion, and furakake. Overall, the bowl was awesome as the fish was very fresh and the portion great. None of this in any way, distracted from it being an exceptional meal that I really enjoyed and so far it is the top pokey that I have had in the area. With a few tweaks that I have noted, it could be the top that I've had anywhere. When glance at the picture and you can tell for yourself that this was one exceptional poke salad bowl.

The best part about the bowl was it the fish was very fresh. The worst part was very little of it. And there was almost no Masago. if there was crispy garlic, it had lost its crispy before arriving. The avocado was a nice portion and it was fresh and delicious. Overall, for a large bowl, this was an extremely small portion size with very little fish. The fish itself was a high-quality and tasted quite good. The spicy mayo lacked any spice at all so if I order again, I will make sure to order a higher level of spice. I did enjoy the meal but based upon the price and the portion size, I am not sure that I will order from there again. I would write this with approximately 3 1/2 stars, but that is not a choice and based upon the quality of the food I would rather round up to four stars however this establishment did not match up well with my favorite from my prior location and compared to the other local poke places, I would have to say the overall experience is only average despite the fish quality being mildly better.

The service was great, the food came out SUPER quick and everything was made hot and fresh and we almost couldn't believe how quickly everything came out. Multiple servers would stop by our table to see if we needed anything and that was great. Service was a 10/10. The ambiance is very heavily Anime Themed (hence the name) so if you're into that kind of thing this place is like heaven for you. Overall had a great time, food was great, service was great. His namesake restaurant stays true to his favorite food and does it impeccably. My go to is the Chicken Tonkotsu with add dumplings. I must admit that I have not tried the sushi and do not plan to because the reviews of it are pretty mediocre. But the Ramen is top notch. The bubble teas are delicious. The vibe is just so cool. I really enjoy this restaurant and highly recommend it for what is the clear winner for best Ramen in the area.

Felipe's service was truly outstanding. He is incredibly diligent, polite, respectful, patient, and genuinely kind. You can tell he really cares about providing great service, and that makes such a difference. We ordered matcha drinks with oatmeal and strawberry syrup, and they were delicious. We also shared a burger wrap that I honestly can't even begin to describe, it was that good. The fries are hand-cut and made in-house (not frozen), and they were excellent. I personally like my fries a little more golden and crispy, so I asked if they could toast them a bit more, and they kindly and happily accommodated my request without hesitation. There's convenient parking right in front, and you can clearly see that the owners are attentive and involved. The staff overall is exceptional. I recommend this place with my eyes closed 10000000%.
