This is a real hidden gem! If you are looking for daily homestyle fresh Pakistani food of the…read morehighest quality in this area then this is the ONLY place you need to go! It's well worth the drive too! We were staying at a hotel in Ypsilanti and after careful research I found this place in Canton. They have a simple straight forward menu but they can make anything for catering and the like. This is a quaint little mom and pop place that's serving up the best Lahori desi food we've had in a long time! The sesame naan tasted like roghni nana with real ghee on the top and brought back my fond memories of having it in Lahore long ago. This was the closet to Lahore roghni naan we've had ever in over 25 years!! They was so good we ordered 20 to take back home with us as you're not going to find this flavor and quality anywhere in US! The tandoori chicken was melt in your mouth magnificent as they make their own spice blend that I won't forget! The goat biryani and chicken karahi was so good that we couldn't stop eating even though we were full. The goat was plentiful, tender and flavorful. The owners Ali & Aisha are very welcoming and you almost feel like you're at your Auntie's or at home. They make everything themselves. Very generous portions of everything at a really good price! The chutney was a nice accompaniment to the entrees as well. When was the last time you had a true authentic samosa with jovaan (carom seed) in the crust?!! Nothing was a bit oily but packed with unique and familiar flavors. Aisha just made a fresh batch of rus malai desert and it was like biting into puffy light delicious pillows. I sure wish they had their place in my state. This place is one for my record books of "Best Pakistani food places in the USA"! Small place but mighty Desi Daag! Thanks so much Ali & Aisha for the beautiful food experience at your place; Tandoori Corner!!

It's a small spot with limited booths. Ordered Tandoori Chicken, it comes with Naan or Rice as side. Expected it to be in the curry consistency seeing the sides but it was dry. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the Naan that came along tasted fresh. Decent packaging, I had mentioned to include cutlery when placing the order but they did not include them. The cashier or the owner sounded so rude. The price didn't match the portions. Customer service can be better.

This place is as authentic as it gets for a good home cooked Pakistani food!…read more If you've never had Pakistani food a great place to start is Nihari which is the national dish of Pakistan. Nihari is a slow cooked beef shank stew that's cooked for 6 hours which makes it so soft it pulls apart, but the best part is the gravy which goes perfectly with some garlic naan or even regular naan because it soaks up all the flavor from the gravy. My second favorite dish I've had here is the highway chicken karhai. The reason why the highways in Pakistan are so famous for having some of the best food is because people in Pakistan believe that truck drivers in Pakistan should have the best food due to their very long journeys along the highway. Therefore the highway chicken karhai here is an absolutely kicker of a dish packed with robust flavor and it's cooked in a wok which is the most traditional way to enjoy karhai. It goes really well with a tawa paratha which is a traditional fried bread on a pan or a puri which is a deep fried soft bread. If you're not sure what to try the first time they also have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday where they have a variety of dishes you can try. This also includes Payas (goat heel curry) which is a Pakistani delicacy and goes great with naan. When you walk in you'll see lots of small traditional items and artwork that are a huge part of the Pakistani culture like the rickshaws and paintings on the wall of some of the most iconic places in Pakistan like the tomb of Jinnah who is the founder of Pakistan. Overall, as a person who's from that part of the world I'd say this place definitely takes me back to my childhood! I will be visiting more often!

Yelp has come through yet again. Friends were in from California and I wanted to make a good…read moreimpression. So I told them I knew of, but haven't tried (just in case the place didn't work out well), an outstanding eatery of their traditional cuisine. My search brought us here. Small, clean, intimate and a little material ambiance, this place was filled with fabulous sounds and smells. It was almost like a blind date. In this case, we knew the people not the venue. The staff were friendly and exchanged a few pleasantries with our friends that I didn't understand. It brought about many smiles. I enjoyed everything that floated past me except the Aam Diya. I'm sure it was prepared as it should've been, I'm just not a big mango nut. The Mulligatawny soup was fabulous as was the Tandoori Chicken Biryani. Next time we come I'll be eating the Chana Massala and the Vindaloo. The price is right and the portions are fair. The neighborhood has seen better days but that doesn't affect the experience. 11/25

Not bad for authentic tasting Indian food…read more Ordered goat goat korai and lamb korma, garlic naan, coriander sampler. All in all very good! Korma was slightly sweet even though I ordered mild spice. Keep that in mind. The goat taste better than lamb, which is more dense. The korai was delicious. Not heavy since it is not too creamy. The spice level of mild plus was perfect and not overwhelming but I'm glad I DIDN'T get medium else it would have been too spicy. Garlic naan was good but not special. The coriander sampler was a nice combo of all their appetizers - kabob, tandoori, lamb chop. It was a bit salty but flavor was there. small place with few tables. Service was not bad. Lady was patient in answering my qs.
