Both were delicious, portion sizes were huge. It comes with a salad and pasta. Restaurant has a cute outdoor patio for nicer days, and a clean interior. The staff are always so kind and willing to explain anything on the menu. They also have a small parking lot with several spots in the back if you don't want to deal with Hillsboro paid parking. I went here for a late-night dinner and ended up ordering the feast for two! It came with 2 soups, a huge platter of dips with cucumber/carrot and pita bread, a huge salad I couldn't finish, a platter with the most JUICIEST chicken and rice, then dessert! I'm surprised I didn't even know this existed until we walked past it one day. They have only a few staff running the show but the service was quick and the food was quite good. Have had this spot bookmarked for awhile & found myself near the hospital later on a Friday night with perfect weather so the wife & I ate outside. The decor here is really nice both inside & out. Can a place that's way off the radar in Nashville in a tiny space off the beaten path be that delicious and maintain a near-perfect 4.9 average rating with a significant 805 online reviews (make that 806 now)? Surely you can't be serious! I AM serious (and don't call me Shirley). The food is legit!! The menu has all sorts of chicken dishes, hence the name Only Chicken. And with such variety, familiarity with Turkish food is not a requirement to find a dish you like. They have something for everyone. So I opted for the large Spicy Chicken platter with a spice level of 3 (right in the middle). And it was VERY GOOD, pleasantly spicy without being overbearing. This surpasses my culinary experiences in Turkey! My grilled chicken thigh pieces were stunningly tender, swimming in the most delectable creamy, spicy sauce! With Nashville's large Middle Eastern population, consider this their answer to Nashville Hot Chicken! That was bordered by small tubes of high-quality pasta, probably ziti, impressively cooked to al dente perfection. The third component was a wonderful salad of lettuce, corn, olives, and what not. Okay so. I'm not sure what to call this place. It certainly isn't authentic, but the food IS good. I got the thyme chicken with pasta and salad. The salad dressing is a sort of pink whipped ranch which is fun, and the pasta is just your standard pasta with cheese sauce. The chicken was really tasty and savory. I enjoyed it all, but I'm just not sure what it was. Is it Mediterranean? Is it Greek? Is it Italian? You have the same filing walking inside, warm and welcoming. Service was great. We got engaged in a very nice conversation with the owner. The prices were on par for being close to Vanderbilt. The food came out and was quickly demolished by me and hubby. Mine had grilled chunks of white meat chicken in a red sauce that was slightly zippy, sitting on top of Alinazik (roasted eggplant and yogurt, very creamy and slightly tangy). There was a side of ziti type paste in a creamy sauce . And a nice salad with tomatoes, Italian parsley, spring mix lettuce and corn with a pink creamy dressing. The chicken curry had chunks of grilled white meat chicken with mushrooms in a curry sauce that is very different from Indian curry. Their curry had subtle spices and was not spicy. For the entrees, we had the Chicken Beyti Kabob which is a unique dish with chicken kabobs wrapped in lavash bread and then covered in a really tasty tomato sauce. This is a must try!
