Last time I called a locksmith it took over 45 minutes for the guy to get here, more than 20 minutes to open the lock, and costed me $180. It costed about $130 this time. He takes cards, but it was a little off-putting that he told me to write a Yelp review when I asked him about it. But hey, no complaints there. I'm not asking the guy to be friendly (frankly he really wasn't, but the guy looked like he's been put through the wringer, so IDC). It was 7 in the morning, and I'm paying the guy to open the door as quick as possible so I can get to work on time. And that he did. I had a couple things that needed to be fixed and In my request I specified exactly what work I needed done. they said they would be able to fix it for me. They said a technician would be sent and no one came. I messaged again a week later and they said a technician would come and no one came again. I should have seen this as a huge red flag but this was not a pressing issue so I gave them one more chance and they finally sent someone out. The technician came and they said they could not fix what I needed done even though they said they could. So basically he just sprayed some WD40 on one of our old locks for a temporary fix on the easiest job I requested and then tried to charge me $70. I eventually ended up paying $40 for the tech to come out and spray WD40 on my lock and them saying they couldn't fix the other more important issues. They should have told me from the beginning they could not do what I requested. read more

The voice mail box was full when I called so I couldn't leave a message, but Noel called me back promptly anyway. It was around 7am on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I told him the problem (laundry room door was locked, with no available key) and gave him my address. He said he could send a technician out, with an ETA of 9am. I asked the price and he quoted me $95. The technician arrived around 9:30am, a bit later than expected but no problem. However, after seeing the job, he said he needed to call the office for the price, and then told me it would be $134! I told him about the price of $95 that I was quoted, and he told me that didn't include the travel! That wasn't okay with me but I decided to go ahead since I needed to move along with my day. Avoid. Inconsistent rates that seems to go up depending on the customer. On a daytime/weekdayservice call, the locksmith quoted $210 to my wife to open a standard door lock and deadbolt. She talked him to $150 - but still very high. I called the office and they quote $20 cheaper - $130. Most other companies are around $100 or lower... I used Kardo a couple months ago on the same locks. The guy gave no upfront quote, finished and said $140. He said it was so expensive due to the time - 10p on a Friday night. Hmmm that was still less than my wife's daytime service! After that service I call the office. They said they'd follow-up with the locksmith who came - took my number but never called me back...
