I found Karen Asbury in the midst of a traumatic diagnosis, Asherman's Syndrome, also known as uterine adhesions. Karen is a healer. She seems to instinctively know which parts of you need fixing. Deep tissue massage works best for my body, and she's one of the only one who's ever used enough pressure for me to feel better. I have fibroids which I have seen several doctors and physicians for, all to no avail. Often being told the only way to fix it was with birth control or other hormone medications that negatively effected me. I was recommended to Karen from a trusted chiropractor, who had a success story of how she helped her with her fibroids. After only one massage, I noticed an immediate relief in cramps and other fibroid pains. She recommended I use a caster oil pack three times a week along with abdomen massages. I did and within only a week, I noticed a difference, my skin got clearer, I lost five pounds and my blood pressure dropped to a healthy level. I've been under the care of 6 different massage therapists in the 9 years since sustaining a massive injury (broken back in 5 places, then had a stabilizer cage implanted that in and of itself did a LOT of damage to my body). I'll require a high level of bodywork aftercare for the rest of my life. Truth be told, there's still work to be done and areas that were never properly addressed to begin with. That's where Karen Asbury comes in. Because my torso was immobilized for so long with the cage and due to the mechanism of my injury, I have a lot of stuck abdominal tissue, hips that keep slipping out of place, pelvic floor discomfort, and sacral pain.
