I needed a new head unit in my car and I had heard these guys had a great rep for doing great work…read more Normally I could install this myself, but after owning the car and researching what I all ready had, I had heard that since it was a factory Bose system, it was a bit more complicated than just a regular install. So why not go to the pros I thought. I goto the shop to purchase and set up a date for the installation. I told the guy what I had and he said it would be no problem. Thinking he's just not realizing what he is saying I tell him again, its a factory Bose system for my model and year of car. Again, he tells me its no big deal and we set up an appointment for Nov 8 10 am. Thinking I am in good hands, I show up to the shop at 10 am, and no one is there, doors and locked and lights are off. Finally at 10:30 someone shows up and lets me in. Then shortly after that, another guy shows up. They finally come get my keys around 11:15. Finally around 11:45 my car goes into the shop for the installation to start. After 3 hours, whom I assume was the manager comes out and says something isn't going in right, they have to rewire the system. They cant use the existing wires from the harness. I asked him if it was because of the Bose system and he said yes. I told him and I specifically asked the guy that sold me the unit if what I had purchased the unit from would work for what I had and he assured me it would. It didn't. Finally around 4 or 5 pm, They give me my car back. They said they had a hard time with the install. Now, instead of my radio coming on with my key, its hard wired to the battery. If I forget to turn off the radio when I get out, my battery will drain. They ran speaker wire from the unit to all of my factory speakers. They didn't bother putting the wires behind the trim or zip-tieing them up to anything. They put a bunch of deep scratches in my dash trim. They didn't put the trim on the unit. All and all, they did a very poor job on an install that they told me they could do. At the time, they also didn't have an adaptor to connect the unit to the antenna. They asked me to come back 2 days later when the part came in. After seeing how poor of a job they did with the install, I never went back and never want to. I will tell every single person to stand clear of this place. Its a shame because I know back in the day, they were one of the top places in KC.

I came here to replace my front speakers since they weren't playing. They identified the cause and swapped the speakers. No big deal right? WRONG. Shortly after my drivers side power window had issues rolling up and stopped rolling up all together. I took it to the dealership to have it checked out and they told me it needed all the pArts replaced (motor, regulator, and channel). As I was presented with the invoice the tech adds the window only broke because of a car speaker that had been installed. "Who installed the car speakers?" They asked and I said a shop. They informed me that the window had been repeatedly hitting the speaker because it was not flush in the door until the window broke. It has the same issue on the passenger side and I can't even roll the window down all the way (which I hadn't even noticed because it's winter). Like seriously wtf, and on top of that the tech tells me it was installed WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE AND THERE ARE LIVE WIRES IN MY DOOR. I called the shop about the issue and they said they could only offer to fix what's wrong, which I refused because they certainly aren't working on my car EVER AGAIN. Thomas informs me the owner would call me back at the end of the week. That was last week. This place is a chop shop with people Who have NO KNOWLEDGE of car stereo or cars. I am informing BBB, consumer protection agency, and JL Audio. Stay away at all costs, what a joke of a business.
