I call for delivery but the young lady was talking in Spanish to me and I did not talk Spanish. I did not understand Spanish. I tried to tell her what my what it was and I thought I got across too hot. What my order was, but they delivered the wrong order to me. And told me to that's what I order, but I did not. I just ordered four things from now. But since I didn't talk Spanish, they sent me the warm order. And they didn't want to replace it. I love Karinas food!!! I use to love near the restaurant and would stop by all the time!! I still order pans of rice and Pernil for parties and functions. The ONLY issue I have is the ATTITUDES of the ladies!!! My goodness! These ladies look at you like you have 10 heads and are so rude!! I ordered a catering order and told the ladies I would be there at 12 to pick up. The Ofer was already paid for but I was stuck in traffic so I was a little late by 15 minutes. They called me twice saying mami u have to pick up now! Did I mention the food was PAID in full! She gave me attitude and I gave it right back! Like how dare you?! If u want people to come to your establishment please learn customer service and be pleasant and not just to customers who speak Spanish. All customers deserve respect! I always come in smiling and saying hello and they look as if they dont want you there or they don't want to be there themselves. Delivery : No matter the all day $5 Special or the main dinners , All you get is a LARGE aluminum plate of unseasoned, no flavored white or yellow rice and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of what you really ordered: Chicken, Roast Pork...etc The red or black beans they give you a very small cup with more juice than beans. Finally. A Spanish place we can order from. Most listed on grubhub or yelp don't have menus, so it's always a hit or miss when you call a place and there's a language barrier. Nobody else's fault but mine... For not paying attention during Spanish class in High school. Ordered oxtail with white rice and pernil with yellow rice. Both orders came with beans. All that plus two drinks only came out to $20, not including the delivery tip! The food was good, not spectacular, but satisfying nonetheless. The portions were large considering that it came with a large tin plate if rice, separately packed meats and beans. I can appreciate that they didn't combine everything into one plate... Those things usually get messy, and we got to add as much or as little of the beans we wanted. Will be ordering from here again! read more

They have the nerve to be expensive, unorganized, rude, and then serve mediocre food. Unfortunately 3rd times the charm and I'll never go back or recommend this restaurant after dealing with their rude service EVERY SINGLE VISIT. Everytime I go in theres a pricing discrepancy, they give free sodas to who they want to, an $8 meal at better restaurants costs $12 here, their servings are stingy and their servers run their mouths instead of serving food. Karina's has decent typical Dominican fare but an issue with customer service. Every time I've ordered delivery it's a pain to make the phone call because they're usually rude, indifferent, or it's so loud you have to shout a few times to get your order through and I'm usually hung up on before I'm even told the price of my order (since you can only pay in cash for deliveries make sure to know how much cash you'll need). But when I called to make an order for a platter today, I've reached the point where the bad customer service is enough to stop me from being a customer. The platter I was ordering is listed in their menu for $25 and the lady on the phone says that the price is $35 and when I tell her the price in the menu is $25, the woman says that they are working on updating the menu and that isn't the price anymore. How does a business just decide not to honor their menu that is out now because they are "working on updating it"? I was excited to find a Dominican restaurant near me but I'll have to look for another one because I won't be ordering from a restaurant that makes it all up as they go along. read more

This review is based on their delivery service. The food is great and at a great price! It seemed pricey at first glance but after my first order I realized thats because they give bigger servings than other Dominican restaurants. One helping can feed about 2-4 people, but its so good I eat it all by myself. My normal is the breaded beef steak with the yellow rice. Which contains boiled mashed plantains which butter and fried cheese, eggs and salami with vinaigrette onions is amazing!!!!! And it's made fresh upon request!
