Beware of mr. ripa. Do yourself a favor and do NOT purchase anything from him!…read more Going by,personal experience, it would seem that he is nothing but a scam artist! Not to mention a thief!!! Mr. RIPA posted a radar for sale and my husband purchased it in good faith. Then, despite the fact that my husband wanted to send the payment thru paypal, at Mr. Ripa's insistence, my husband instead went ahead (in spite of my objections, i might add!) and sent him his asking price of $1,000 through venmo. All because Mr.Ripa , "supposedly" did not want to go through pay pal. Said it would take too long for him to get the funds in addition to having to pay added fees. In hindsight, that should have been the first clue that something was not right. Pay Pal stands by their transactions while we have since learned, Venmo apparently does not! What makes it even more insulting is that Mr. Ripa even went as far as to actually give my husband a ups tracking number for the shipment of the radar. However, after radar failed to arrive in the time frame given by Mr. Ripa, and feeling more than a little annoyed with my husband for wanting to wait and give Mr. Ripa the benefit of the doubt, I went ahead and contacted UPS and was told that a shipping label HAD been created but the item had NEVER been scheduled for pick up! In other words.....it had never been sent!!! After informing my husband of my findings, lo and behold, when my husband tried contacting Mr. Ripa again, it seems he just fell off the face if the earth and stopped responding to my husband's messages! And, as of the last try, now it appears that he might have blocked my husband's number altogether because all calls to him simply get dropped! In addition to the numerous phone calls, i also personally sent him 2 emails, which, to date he has yet to respond to! My husband is now out $1,000 and has nothing to show for it!!! I can't even imagine how someone could be capable of such a despicable act. While I can completely understand someone having extenuating circumstances that might prevent them from fulfilling a deal made, I cannot accept anyone taking someone's hard earned money and just pocketing it without any explanation whatsoever! It's not just a "bad" thing to do. It is also a fraudulent act and a crime!!!! I read the other negative review and also read Mr. Ripa's very indignant response to it. Taking that into account, I would love to hear how Mr. Ripa explains what happened to the radar that he took $1,000 for and never sent!!!
