My friend and I went to Karma a couple months ago on a Friday night. We sat in the bar and there was an acoustic band which added a nice touch. We ordered 2 Scorpion bowls. They don't look like your traditional bowl, but they are definitely loaded with alcohol and taste delicious!! Everything we ordered for food was delish as well(crab Rangoon, orange chicken, sushi). We liked the food so much that we went to the lunch buffet last week. It was really busy Friday at 12pm. There was a line and the buffet is in an awkward small corner space. After around 12:30 lunch rush, there was no line. I believe the buffet runs until 3pm. It had my favorite ..coconut shrimp and a bunch of different fresh sushi rolls. This is our new to go spot for Chinese/Japanese food. We originally were planning to go visit sweet basil Thai but my GF said to give karma a try because it smelt good from outside. We ordered the chow fun, tuna taco, duck banh baos, happy family and agrashi tofu. The food came out pretty quick and they all tasted so good. The owner came over and offered us some new dish he just came up with for free! It was good! Their food doesn't have that MSG/salty flavor. The decor and atmosphere was good too. Don't bother. The menu is filled with very overpriced Americanized Chinese dishes - think $17 for General Gau's chicken. The atmosphere is as forgettable as the menu. I wish I could tell you about the food, but over 20 minutes after being seated, no one had come to our table to take our order. In fact, no one had even brought us water. I was with a group of four and the restaurant was not busy. There were at least five wait staff walking around, who would make eye contact but not come to our table - Two of them appeared to be fighting with each other. I saw one person from another table walk up to a server and ask if they could please order. After over twenty minutes of being ignored completely, we left. On the way out I overheard another table say "And they're also leaving. No surprise. This place is ridiculous" I couldn't agree more. We walked 20 feet to "Thai Sweet Basil" and had a great, reasonably priced, meal served by friendly people who were clearly pleased to have our business. I'd recommend you do the same. read more

Such a long awaited restaurant, that completely fails to deliver. I have been in here twice for lunch and just a few hours ago for drinks after work on a Friday evening. Both times at lunch I spent nearly 60-90 minutes in the restaurant, not because I was taking my time but rather because the restaurant was. Slow service, slow food delivery, slow check pickup. Slow everything. The food was ok, but honestly not any better than the food at any other local sushi spot. Admittedly I have not had anything too creative off of the menu, but the food seems to be par rather than exceptional. The service here is what is insane, it is just honestly so bad. I don't understand. it is so slow, its as if the people working there have no respect for your time. This evening for drinks, we spent at least 15 minutes with our cards in front of us while sitting at the bar before we had to literally raise our had to flag someone over to process our check. I was excited to try Karma out as I am a huge sushi fan and there aren't too many spots in this area. Came here last Sunday with my a girlfriend on Sunday around 5, it was pretty quiet but picked up closer to when we were leaving. We picked out a couple of things to share: Crispy Chicken Wings tossed in salt, pepper, jalapeño peppers Karma Three Layers Spicy Salmon Naruto And the waitress said one of her favorites and customers most popular was Tigers Eye, so we said why not ! Chicken Wings were great, crunchy outside, juicy tender inside. The two other sushi dishes were delicious; but the Tigers Eye suggestion was just flat out gross ! We both took one bite and were like yeah no more. Waitress saw we didn't touch it and didn't like it, but still didn't take it off the bill- I think she should've as it was her suggestion; but oh well. After reading the mixed reviews on Yelp, I decided to go in and see for myself. The food was amazing! My favorite item on the menu is the Tuna Pizza! WOW! The service was impeccable! Our waitress gave us great recommendations of sushi dishes to try. She was personable and on the ball. Also, the manager came to our table to make sure we were happy with our food and service. Great! Their stuff is awesome. I got the gyouza, duck buns, pad thai... the works. Their eel is awesome, definitely recommend getting the eel special! I'll be coming back because damn. This restaurant is pretty average. I went with a few people and we ordered a plate of steak and sushi. The steak came and it was cold and I cooked so we had to send it back. The staff treated it very professionally and were very kind. I was not a huge fan of the sushi as the salmon just did not taste very good, however the sashimi was better. I discovered this place yesterday, and I am giving it only 2 stars because I like it and would like to see it improve. On a week-day the buffet price is reasonable, but the choice is limited, and the quantities on the food tray even less so. Although we were a party of eight, and the restaurant was not so busy, we did not get a lot of attention from our waiters. They were nice, but did not show up as often as they should have, and forgot some of our orders. By the time we were ready for dessert, most of the limited choices were gone, and there were only literally 3 pieces of fruits. They did not bother doing any refills, although there were still few other diners in the room. On the upside, the taste and quality of the food was surprisingly good, which you wouldn't expect from a buffet. I will give it another chance and hope to see some improvements. read more

I've been to Karma several times for sushi (for dinner) and every time it has been a good experience with tasty tasty food. Nothing but great service. I've been here at least twice with live music (I think it is a Friday or weekend thing). Good drink list- they have a full bar, several beers on tap and a number of fun Martinis (Gingertini) in addition to the standards (like Mai Tais) My favorite appetizer is Yellowtail Sashimi With Jalapeno - thin slices of raw yellowtail topped with jalapenos sitting in a citrus ponzu sauce. Delicious every time we get this. YUM! Occasionally they will present you with a free on the house app- a roll up slighly seared fatty tuna appetizer that is beyond tasty. I'm waiting for this to be on the menu, I could eat an entire plate of these! I'm not a fan of my sushi with carbmeat , so that limits the selections a bit, but there are still many delicious options. Kiss of fire is delicious (no rice, instead soy paper around spicy tuna, salmon and cucumber). For something a bit different, the yellowtail and scallion is very tasty. Seared Hamachi Maki is yummy (avocado, cucumber, tempura, spicy mayo). This is always good sushi.The rolls are on the smaller side- for 2 people, 3 rolls is just the right amount of food. read more

Brandon was courteous and welcoming. That night I was out with my buddy who was about to move to Missouri. We had a blast that night. That same night who knew I would meet a new wonderful friend (Diana). We have become double trouble. This was two years ago and I am still coming to Karma. Karma is no disappointment. The food is hands down the best Asian food in the region. You just cannot go wrong with any of the dishes. Did I say that they have the best sushi in all of the New England area? Well I just said it and it is bomb.com/delicious! (Please not that is not an actual website). Iverson has done a marvelous job with all three locations. I pray that he continues to succeed in the restaurant business and with anything he lays his hands on. I am glad that Amanda is back and is the Bar Manager. She will take excellent care of you. Terrible sushi! Ordered 3 rolls (Hipster maki, shrimp explosion maki and spicy scallop crunch maki) all with shrimp tempura in them. The shrimp tempura was cold. Like it was cooked in the afternoon and then rolled in the maki. Definitely NOT made/cooked to order. Told them it was very cold and they didn't care. Very clean. In the top 2 Szechuen spicy chicken I have ever had. It has a very unique delicious taste. We also had the ying yang spicy beef. Wow it was also delicious. Not your typical Chinese food taste profiles. They are much more complex. Even the wonton soup was good. Yes, normally wonton soup doesn't vary too much but this broth had outstanding flavor and depth, not just salty. It tastes as if the wontons are homemade too. Ribbons of very thin carrots and pork compliment the broth. Only con is rice is a la carte and does not automatically come with the meal. Otherwise this was extremely good. read more

The only meal I've ever had here that was a slight disappointment was their Pad Thai dish; probably because technically this is a Chinese and Japanese-focused restaurant so something seemed to be missing from it that isn't the case at Thai restaurants. However, that's a minor quibble. I really love the food here as do my Meetup group's members whenever we've had a meal at Karma. My favorites are the avocado salad and Happy Family dish. I absolutely love it here! The food, drinks, and sometimes live music are all reasons why I love it. They have dine in or takeout; I usually get out of work after 6 so it's nice they take reservations. The drinks are strong but most of them taste like juice which is definitely something that I look for in a drink.
