Thanks to Cassandra and Karma Dog Training for a well-behaved puppy!
    Kevin V.

My wife and I wanted to send our 12 week old Siberian husky to a dog training class so that he would be well behaved and sociable. After researching and making several calls to multiple dog trainers, we decided to go with Karma Dog Training. We sent Poe, our puppy, to Karma puppy Kindergarten free trial this last Sunday and had Cassandra come to our home for a private training session the following day because we were so impressed with her training. Our first puppy kindergarten session was great, as Cassandra was very knowledgeable and attentive. Poe was able to social with other puppies, as well as learning a few new tricks. On the following day, Cassandra showed up early to our private training session at home. She showed us how to train Poe to go to bed, to not beg for food, potty train, and many other important techniques to having a well-behaved puppy. Overall, we were very impressed with Karma Dog training and would recommend Karma to our friends and family.

I have a 7-month-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever named Moose. He is the world's most loving dog, but he has had a lot of trouble with walking, grazing and obedience. I was about to move to a new apartment and I thought it might be the perfect time for more training in a boarding experience. A good friend (who's also a wonderful trainer at Karma Dog Training, Kate Anderson) recommended I board and train with Karma - that's when I found Rachel Gettman. From our very first conversation, I knew Moose was going to be in the best possible hands. Rachel is a total professional. She is passionate, takes the job seriously, and is very attentive and loving to the dog's needs and to the owners. Over the 10 days Moose was boarding/training with her, she was in constant communication with me and updated me on Moose's progress. She took Moose in and treated him as if he was part of the family. I got pictures and videos, and she wasn't afraid to talk about the challenges. Moose is now home and is almost a different dog. He is still the loving puppy I raised, but with a whole new set of skills. And I can walk him without fear of serious injury! Rachel wrote out an extensive report and broke everything down for me so I know how to handle him moving forward in every situation. She understands dogs and dog training on a very profound level. I feel so grateful to her and Karma and for their care and the time they spent with Moose. Moose and I are eternally grateful.

    Happy pups

Our 8 month old mini Bernedoodle spent 2 weeks with Chris Wharton for a live-in training program. Chris was great. He kept in touch with us regularly with pictures and updates. Our dog came home healthy and happy and with new skills and manners. Chris has kept in close touch with us in the weeks after- initiating check in's and answering questions. He even sent our two kids their own trainer treat pouches. Chris clearly cares about the pups in his care. He only uses positive training methods and the dogs are having fun while learning. Chris took the time to make sure we understood what they had been working on, along with the methods, so that we could keep it going after our dog was back with us. Chris made sure to engage our kids and fold them in to the program so that they felt excited and invested in the process.

After adopting a rambunctious 12-week old puppy from a rescue, I researched just about every puppy training class around, and thankfully landed on Karma's puppy kindergarten which mixed socialization and training for our little Dalvin. Such a positive experience, Cassie and Olivia knew just what they were doing, led great lesson plans, and consistently assisted in helping Dalvin progress forward when he began to master each week's task. There wasn't pressure to master everything on the first time around, they made it clear puppies were welcome to repeat the cycle of classes rather than get the boot after the 8 weeks rotation was up. Plus, Dalvin loved practicing the lessons outside of class for a special reward the next session! Very very grateful to Karma, Dalvin is measures beyond the other puppies in our neighborhood, due to Karma's reward-centric training classes, and I recommend them to all the dog owners we meet. Can't wait to re-enroll Dalvin in grown-up obedience classes with Karma, next!

Penelope is learning fast, thanks to Karma and Cassie :)

Karma Dog Training has been a lifesaver! I grew up with dogs, but getting a brand new puppy on your own is a whole new world! Puppy Kindergarten and a private training session with Cassie has made a huge difference. My border collie mix, Penelope, is responding quickly and I can't wait to take her to more training. Cassie is very knowledgeable, positive and patient with both myself and Penelope throughout the process. I recommend Karma dog training for all ages and breeds :)

We just began Karma Dog training for our 5 month old puppy Milo and we have nothing but the best things to say about this training program! We attend the weekly basic obedience classes and just completed our first private in home training session with Cassie! Cassie is an amazing trainer and is very patient and kind with our pup, as well as us! She makes all of us feel very at ease and it's very easy to learn from her! We saw an immediate improvement in Milo's behavior shortly after our private session with her! We can't thank her enough! Cassie also attends the weekly obedience classes which helps with the continuity of Milo's training! We always know Milo is in very good hands with Cassie as his dog trainer! We definitely could not have picked a better puppy training program! We look forward to see how Milo improves in the weeks to come! :)

Puppy having a good time during training.

Karma Trainers are the best. We started with them during Puppy Kindergarten with Cassie and Olivia. They were perfect for us for this type of class. They were knowledgeable, able to interact with everyone and their puppy who attended and provide one on one advice even though we were part of a group. This was just what was needed at the time. The location in San Juan Capistrano was great as well. Afterward we wanted to spend some time with a personal trainer and were introduced to Brittany Quon. Brittany is fantastic. We are so appreciative of the wonderful knowledge, skill and spirit she brought to our training sessions at our home. The difference in our puppy over the 5 weeks is astonishing. We have learned so much in a concentrated period of time. She understands us and the puppy and what is needed at the exact time it is needed. She adjusts her training accordingly and goes over it patiently. She discusses alternatives and makes wise suggestions. She even emails a summary of what we worked on and what to practice and what videos to watch before the next session. I highly recommend Karma Dog Training and certainly recommend their personal training options which can be paired with group training in various combinations. We are very pleased and learning more every day and Brittany is exceptional.

My now very sociable puppy, Betsy. Thanks to Olivia and Gabby!!

He trained my husband and me as well as our puppy! So grateful. Tommy has a gift for knowing how dogs think and he shares that knowledge as part of the session. We never felt rushed to finish a lesson when he came to the house, he just dealt with our issues and reminded us to keep practicing with our dog until next time. We even decided to enroll in his weekly puppy class so that our puppy would learn to behave around other dogs. His private dog park is a god-send as we live in a condo and don't have a yard for our puppy to play in. She loved going there and we'll be back! We highly recommend Tommy. He showed us how to anticipate what our puppy was going to do before she did it and correct her misdeeds before they take place. Five stars!

My boyfriend and I took in our cattle dog, Ollie, as a stray almost 4 months ago. Quick background: Ollie was found tied to a fire hydrant outside my work. Ollie is the sweetest boy, however is very reactive to other dogs and is a bundle of energy that presents as endless jumping and nipping. We have a senior Saint Bernard at home in which Ollie has been too rough/aggressive with her, even when our Saint Bernard makes it known that she doesn't want to be bothered. We tried water sprays at home and other attempts at training to no avail. We began to feel helpless as our biggest concern was his relationship with our Saint Bernard, as it got to the point where we felt we had to consider rehoming him. During our session with Brad, we immediately saw results which had us dumbfounded. Like other reviews have mentioned, his technique is not "mean," but is a firm mindset that Ollie requires. All the while, Brad emphasizes when to correct your dog and when to praise him, while stressing the fact that these techniques are not made to scare your dog, but rather establish a leader mentality while simultaneously letting the dog know that you provide love and safety. Of course, like any training, one can only be successful when carrying over these learned techniques at home, but Brad left us feeling confident and ready to continue the work. Even when we got home today, we already had seen a shift from Ollie. As for Brad himself - he is very approachable and really looks to understand both the dog and all the circumstances that come with them. You could really get a sense of how personal he is. We definitely recommend him. Thank you so much, Brad!

As a first time dog dad, I haven't sharpened my tools around understanding my dogs emotional state and how threatened she feels and how to react or treat such aggression. So its harder for me to empathize and as such know how to handle it. I ran into Josh while walking my dog. I always see him walking his dogs, and they are so well behaved and so focused on him. So, I inquired about their training and he and i scheduled a session. Josh shared tools to improve these behaviors first from a actual tools piece like replacing a harness with a collar and a firm leash rather than a flex leash. Next, he helped me understand the psychological state of my dog and why she does what she does, it was enlightening and helped me better understand Nuggets. Finally, Josh taught me exercises to employ to redirect Nuggets focus to me. I couldn't be more grateful for the service Josh provided. You can tell Josh loves what he does and it shows by how good he is at it. That being said, I struggle to understand how anyone could complain about Bark Busters, my experience was one in which Josh , an incredible professional, was trying to help me be a better dog parent, and for that I am eternally grateful.
