It's been wonderful to learn and understand our dog and work with him in the framework Jenna set. We relocated to Germany early March and brought Cosimo. In the months prior to travel, we read about Germany and how pet-friendly the country is - and how well-behaved German doggies are. This worried us and we did a few sessions with Jenna to brush up our skills in managing Cosimo. I am deliberately dwelling on 'our skills' ... because that's how Jenna works - she trains the owners more than she does the dog. It's been absolutely wonderful in Germany. We find Cosimo well-adjusted and wonderfully well behaved. He's in the upper percentile. Just this morning, there were two dogs barking and being quite aggressive - and Cosimo, off-leash, walked by, at my side, without so much as turning his head ... and this is because Jenna had told us to be reassuring ... 'I have your back, buddy'. Jenna gets dogs and knows how to train humans to work with them!!!

I have a now 14 week old puppy and called to ask about training, when a good time to start was and about what they do. Pat was nice on the phone and even though he (the dog) would be 10 weeks at the start of training she said it was perfectly fine. I found out otherwise though from many other professionals. The first day is a very long orientation with good info but she tends to get off on tangents so beware of your time.... she is also very affordable $150 total. the second class is the first day with dogs. Though we split into three groups, the young dog group is by far the biggest. Pat claims that she can handle the large group but you get very little one on one help from her. She demos and then watches sometimes from a distance but with a group that big 12+ dogs and even more people it is overwhelming. She also does very long talks throughout the class which is hard for the young dogs to stay still that long. The reason I am going to not attend the final 5 sessions is because my dog was singled out during the last session for being "reactive and aggressive." He is a 13 week old Labrador. He was barking and jumping, trying to go near the other dogs and it was about him wanting to play. He needs more leash training but is not people or dog aggressive. I do a lot of at home and at barn training with him on my own. That seems normal and there were A LOT of dogs. She immediately told her assistant to not make eye contact and not go near or touch him. The biggest problem was that she, using her microphone, pointed several times to us during her aggressive and reactive dog talk, and made many many assumptions about my puppy. For instance she assumed I had never met the parents of my dog or looked up the breeder. That is very wrong however as I spent a lot of time choosing my dog. Also... why would that matter? There's a lot of rescues at her training so would it be that bad if I didn't meet the dog's parents? He never once snarled, growled or tried to bite, ever. But he wasn't allowed near the dogs during their socializing time and we continually were referenced in very negative ways. She eventually sent someone to work 1:1 with us for his jumping but Pat never seems to do that herself. The other trainer is why I'm not giving 1 or 2 stars. The other trainer was great and was not even concerned about not touching him. She seemed to really like him. And at the end of class Pat again signaled to us and had me stay so that all of the other trainers could be aware of his "reactive and aggressive" behavior. She said I needed to stay to see how bad he was. The other trainers looked confused because he was not reacting at all. He could sit, lay down, watch and was so good. I should have just left. Of course she still wouldn't admit that maybe he just wanted to play with the other dogs. I think that group was far too big and there is way too much going on at that venue. I am disappointed to loose the affordable training but I left the class in tears because of her assumptions and dismissiveness of everything I would tell her about him. It's hard to hear that your dog is acting aggressive and even if he was, I don't think she needed to announce it to 15+ people on her microphone and reference him as what could happen to other people's dogs.... just humiliating. The instructions you get could be found on YouTube. Spend a little more money on training and try another place out.

Pat was there for me any time I needed her. When I called her, she always called me back and spent so much time talking with me, supporting me emotionally and offering great advice. I love Pat! Now with my current dog, Malcolm, we are thoroughly enjoying her classes again. I also love all her trainers. Over the years they have also been amazing and supportive. I have trained in many of the offered classes, beginning through advanced 2, and also rally and most currently "nose work". So fun for me and Malcolm, and a great community of people!

Molly is gentle and patient and class is often therapy for puppy owners, but it's always a lot of relief to know our puppy isn't the only crazy one! We really enjoyed the puppy class and leash training class, and we'll be taking her next level Manners and Minding class. Molly is also available outside of class which I've appreciated to no end--after our pup kept us up all night barking I emailed her and got an immediate response. She also had great dog groomer and dog park recommendations. Best dog class we've experienced so far.

I have decades of experience fostering dogs and personally adopting many of my own, and over the years I've worked with a wide range of trainers. Without question, Steve is in a league entirely of his own. His talent, intuition, and depth of understanding when it comes to dogs is extraordinary. He doesn't just train dogs; he teaches humans how to truly understand them. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the joy he brought into the day. We laughed constantly. At one point my cheeks genuinely hurt from hours of smiling and laughter. And yet, amid all of that warmth and humor, we walked away with an incredibly clear, grounded, and practical understanding of his methods and a deep sense of confidence in our ability to apply them. Steve's approach is refreshingly doable: just five minutes of training per day, paired with his ongoing availability as a resource. That combination alone feels invaluable. We literally just completed our training day today, so I plan to update this review in a few months with more detail about long-term ease of execution and results with our dog, Griffin. But one thing I feel compelled to share now is this: throughout the entire day, even while Griffin was dramatically protesting (vocally, and with flair), Steve remained calm, steady, and completely unfazed. Griffin didn't love everything he was being asked to do, but he clearly adored Steve. He never cowered, never shut down, never showed fear. That level of trust speaks volumes. At one point, I asked Steve about scheduling an additional training day for one of our other dogs. His response was thoughtful, sensible, and deeply ethical: he told me it wouldn't be necessary. He explained that the principles I was learning with Griffin would absolutely apply to our other dogs as well, and that he'd be more than happy to answer questions along the way. That moment really matters to me because it so clearly reflects that Steve is driven by genuine passion and care for people and dogs, not by squeezing every possible dollar out of his clients. I also want to wholeheartedly acknowledge Tasha, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and compassionate throughout the scheduling process. We had to cancel our original training day due to a traumatic injury our other dog, Enzo, sustained: a spinal stroke. Tasha immediately offered to refund our deposit without hesitation. When I shared that I still very much wanted to work with Steve, she later went out of her way to find us an earlier date than originally offered after I asked to be notified of any cancellations. That level of care and humanity meant so much during a really difficult time. I am profoundly grateful for Steve and his entire team. Expensive and repetitive - not worth the price. This review…read moreis ONLY for puppy agility, as I have no experience with any other of their training classes. I purchased the 12 class puppy agility package for $600 ($50 per class) because it was the most affordable option. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the cost. Each class consisted of 3-4 puppies. Since the dogs worked one at a time, the actual active training time per puppy was roughly 8-10 minutes out of the full 50-minute session. That works out to about $5 per minute of real practice, which feels very expensive for what you receive. The bigger issue was the lack of progression. Every single class started from the absolute beginning, repeating the same basic exercises with no advancement or individual challenges. My puppy picked things up very quickly and because of all the down time, quickly became bored. It felt like Groundhog Day... the same class on repeat for 12 weeks. There was no sense of building skills, increasing difficulty, or tailoring the lesson to the dogs' abilities. The trainers were friendly and clearly like dogs, which was the one positive part. However, it never seemed to register that customers were paying a premium price for very little actual training time or educational value. I f you're looking for real skill development and good value, I would look elsewhere, or else don't use your entire lesson package on puppy agility in hopes that it advances at some point.This program might be okay for absolute beginners who need many repetitions of the basics, but for anyone whose puppy catches on quickly, it's disappointing and overpriced.

Right from the consultation, Octavia was friendly and reassuring and helped us understand that our dog was just a little special to no fault of our own. After discussing our concerns, what we hoped to get out of training, and our schedules we opted for the 24 session home and train package. Given mine and my bf's work schedule, we initially thought we would only attend a few sessions a week and have Octavia work with our puppy for a majority of the time. However, that quickly changed and Octavia worked with me and my literally ridiculous work schedule to make sure we found something that worked for all of us. Working with Octavia made us realize the training is as much for the dog as it is for the human. She didn't push any strict rules that I've seen other trainers mention, such as not allowing the dogs on furniture, and really factored in what would be practical in our lives as dog parents and what we wanted. As with all things, it takes time to find out what works best for each dog. Octavia was very patient in explaining and walking us through everything. She was always open for questions and answering whatever concerns I had about my dog even if it wasn't directly related to our training session. It's been almost a year and finding Octavia as a trainer has been the best thing that could happen to our family. What other trainer could you find that will shed tears with you from seeing your dog go from being unable to walk without tugging on a leash, to being able to walk at a heel off leash in just a few weeks (with still plenty of sessions to go!). Not only does she care and love our dog that she trains, she also extends that warmest to our other dog. The sound of her name makes both of our dogs perk up and want to run down the hall to greet her at the other end. Highly recommend!
