    Hendrix!
    Shannon F.

I had a wonderful experience with Karma dog training this past spring for our pup Hendrix. We adopted him right at 8 weeks and it was also our first time training a puppy in an apartment. We were able to enroll him around 10 weeks and what a HUGE difference it has made! The class was held at my local vet and was sterilized beforehand for any pups who are not fully vaccinated. The main benefits of the puppy kindergarten classes are: 1. Trains the owner! With getting so much advice from different dog owners, this class helped me to learn ways to (positively) encourage behavior and be consistent with how I corrected my pup. They were more than happy to answer individual questions, stay after class and chat, or respond via email throughout the week 2. Puppy play! One of the major reasons I have had such a great experience with my puppy is all of the socialization we started early at this class. They encouraged play and I saw drastic improvement in shy or previously unsocialized dogs in class. Overall, the trainers, the office staff and everyone at Karma has been responsive, knowledgable, and patient. I can't wait to enroll Hendrix in the adult obedience classes so we can keep going with the training! I constantly get comments on how well behaved and friendly he is :)

Just hanging with Sophie - our super fun and loving mini Aussie who graduated from Puppy Kindergarten and adores her trainer Ashley Beasley!

We adore our dog trainer Ashley Beasley! We started our mini Aussie puppy, Sophie, who is now almost 6 months old, with a package of private training sessions with Ashley and Puppy Kindergarten Classes.  We scheduled Ashley to come to the house literally the day after we brought Sophie home when she was 8 weeks old! She taught us so much on just getting started with Sophie, potty training her and so many other helpful tips to help her adjust after leaving her brothers and sisters.  We have had several private training sessions with Ashley and will continue to use her to help us stay on track, be consistent with our training, and advance our training.  We really like the philosophy that Karma Dog Training adheres to and their focus on rewarding and reinforcing positive behavior. Ashley is so patient, kind and so good at what she does. She makes it fun for us and helps us when we are frustrated by giving us a variety of techniques and tricks. We were also so fortunate to attend Puppy Kindergarten Classes where Ashley was one the instructors. Sophie would get so excited to see her - We highly recommend Ashley as both a private trainer and as class instructor!

This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

Our boy Mo aka Molty aka Moshi has been coming to Walk ATX since 2022. As many of you, our doggo is…read moreour family and we want only the best of the best for him. It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.
