If you are looking for a really awesome experience, like wine, champagne, brandy and awesome food I would highly recommend checking this place out. I love KARMA! I may be a little bias because I'm getting married here but the staff is incredible, the food is delicious and the wine is out of this world. I prefer white wine but I could drink their red wine and champagne all day long. The grounds are gorgeous, a nice pond with fish and a great view of the vineyards! If you have the chance to take a peek at the panorama deck up top, do it! (usually only for weddings) The views are breathtaking and it is so peaceful! Also, how cool is it to have a cave? Check that out too! Tons of parking and very easy to get too! During the summer the patio can get packed but it is such a fun place to come! A must "do" (wine tasting) in Chelan! read more

This is a very pleasant place, especially if you can sit outside. Nice plantings and water feature. The afternoon we went, there was no "tasting" but we could order a flight of 3 wines for $5.00. Even though we eventually bought a couple of bottles, the $5.00 was not deducted. We bought some "Bad Karma" wine for a friend who will enjoy the label as well as the wine - which needs to breathe some before drinking. The service was subpar. After the young woman took our order, she stopped at a nearby table and shot the bull for almost 10 minutes before putting in our order. The wine finally came and then another wait for bread and cheese. If it weren't for the lousy service, I'd give it 3 stars and maybe 4 for the venue. read more

It was nice I thought that the landscaping was really done well, I was able to relax and enjoy the wine and cheese. If you like to enjoy nice ambiance while drinking nice wine, go here, I haven't found a winery in this area that did better. The staff was very helpful, the only thing I didn't get to do was tour the cellar but that was just bad timing on my part. I signed up for Yelp today just so I could write this review.....My family and I are VERY disappointed with Karma Vineyards and will not be returning or recommending this winery to anyone. My family and I started the day at the local Chelan Mahogany boat show (not a crazy weekend for Chelan), and we were getting hungry for lunch. We all (8 of us) had planned to go to Karma originally for lunch, and to wine taste so we made our way there. We could see from the road that they looked a bit busy, but my mom really wanted to try their food and wine so we put our name down for a table on their patio (they don't have inside seating). We were quoted a half hour which was totally fine with us. We saw loads of people coming to wine taste, and had turned away because their tasting room was closed due to a wedding they were catering to later on. There were about 4 to 5 parties ahead of us, anywhere from 2 people to 6 people per party. People continuously came to put their names down on the wait list after we did, and we eventually saw some of those people getting seated before us (a table of twenty was sat before us). We asked ones of the hostesses why these people were getting seated before us, and she said it was because they were just doing wine tasting. My thinking would be first come first serve whether it be wine tasting or wine tasting and food.....right?! After waiting about 45 minutes now (longer than they quoted us), one of the hostesses brought out a "CLOSED" sandwich board and set it up near the entrance of the winery to stop the heavy traffic of people coming in. The hostess acknowledged after the CLOSED sign was put out that all of us still on the wait list (4 parties) would be seated for wine AND food. Shortly after, they seated one of the parties of 3, and led them back to the patio area. Ten minutes later it appeared that only 2 parties were left standing......our group of eight and party of 3 with a baby. I could tell the lady with the baby was getting as irritated as we were, and about five minutes later I saw them walking back to the parking lot to leave. Ten minutes later the hostess called off two people's names from the list and nobody was left besides our group...obviously those people had taken off. Our party was the last one on the list and we had a glimmer of hope that we would finally be eating and drinking wine very shortly! A couple minutes later one of the other hostesses came up to the other hostess and then turned to us and said "We are so sorry, but the kitchen is now closed because of the wedding that's going on later." I was like she has to be kidding! ...NOPE she definitely was not kidding! My entire group was EXTREMELY upset because at that point it was getting close to an hour and a half that we were waiting!!! They offered us ONE bottle of wine (wohooo....1 bottle of wine to share with 8 people), and free wine tasting for the following day (no thanks... we have to drive back home)! I should have asked for a manager at that moment to address the situation, but we were all so pissed off that we just walked off. Karma please take the helpful tips below- 1) If you are hosting a wedding at your vineyard you should consider closing for the entire day....not just a few hours out of the day to lead the public on 2) Communication is key!!! Please have your staff communicate with one another for instances like these. The hostesses should have known well before hand when the kitchen was going to close.....not after the fact when they stopped serving food 3) Have your hostesses over quote for wait time for situations like these. We were quoted a half hour and definitely should have been quoted an hour to an hour and fifteen read more

Visited Lake Chelan for my best friend and I's birthday the weekend of March 18th. We were recommended Karma by a woman a the winery we went to before Karma. My friend loves bubbles so this place did not disappoint. It looked small from the outside, but when you walk passed the bar, this huge bat cave opens up. It is so beautiful to sit in a cool cellar like this. We ordered the flight of bubbles. Did not disappoint. The rose was my favorite, so I ended up buying a bottle, well worth it. We ordered the cheese plate with smoked salmon and the mustard seed cheese was heavenly. The waitress seemed a bit busy and forgot to bring a bread nibbles so we could cleanse our palate between tastings. Other than that, great experience. read more

I had a nice experience here. I came for here over valentine's day weekend, so they were very busy. Since the weather was a little cold, they were sitting most of the groups in the cave. I highly recommend checking that section out because it's soooo neat and unique to Chelan. Unfortunately, the cave wasn't super full but it sounded like it was full of people- very loud in there. They give you 3 samples of wine with little cards that go with it, it reminded me of Napa. It's a $5 fee, but the proceeds to back to the community. The wine is pricey, but the Syrah's are really nice, I really liked the Zen blend. read more

I have been to Karma thrice now. And I seem to aaallllways get the bubbly flight! It really is good. Great flavor, but on the spendy side. A tasting of 3 champagnes were $20. That's almost twice what it costs at Chandon! I have tasted a few of the wines as well, and they were good. The winery doesn't have much of the traditional "wine tasting" feel to it. Everyone is seated at tables and given a full dining and drinks menu. Almost like going to Purple for wine tastings. Instead of a person pouring each wine, they bring all 3 to you, labeled, in a wine glass holder. The background is BEAUTIFUL. The grape vines surrounding you with a view of the lake is just perfection. They do tend to have a lot of weddings at Karma, so it's best to call ahead to ensure they are seating people when you want to go. read more

I would have disagree with the last reviewer. Since their review the vineyard has come a long ways. The landscape is awesome. Outside dinning, and bar. A little pond sits next to you. A waterfall as you enter. Vines as far as the eye can see. Karma has some great wines. If you go there try their Pinot Noir, and the Chardonney. The host was very friendly and knew his stuff about the wine. As I said I would disagree with the first review, and say they need to give it another try. After parking, walk downhill. Beautiful winery grounds, large flower baskets, and rockeries surrounding multiple waterfalls, a koi pond at the patio. I imagine with time, the waterfall areas will be totally filled in with flowers :) They have quite a few wines to choose from for tasting, and also have a set flight of 3 wines for $5, or 3 champagnes for $20. They also had 2 microbrews on tap to keep the guys (and some gals happy ;) I had the wine flight, hubby had a beer, I was jealous! Wine tasting is by waitress, at the patio tables, they have food items available as well to pair with your tastings, everything from simple cheese and nuts, to a full lunch. Variety of tastings from champagne, to wine, cider, even whisky! Did a girls day here with 3 girlfriends. We started with the Brie and 2 wind flights, 2 whisky flights. Ordered two summer salads (so delicious and refreshing on a hot Memorial Day weekend) the prawns dish (I forgot the name) and grilled asparagus and cheese penne. Everything was excellent, wish we had room for dessert. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Chelan! read more

All I can say is WOW!! Attended a wedding here this weekend and it was the best wedding I have ever been to! (And I used to be in the service/wedding industry and have attended hundreds of weddings. Started this review a year ago and somehow it didn't post. We visited again today and I'm thrilled to say that Karma is still as good as we remember!!.... Finally found a great place to go and just enjoy adult company. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the food is amazing!!! We enjoyed a wine flight, their spicy steamers (definitely have kick but not over the top) and their rack of lamb. It was all light and refreshing and insanely good! Definitely a place we will come back to! I am happy to say, don't bring the kids to this one! Frankly if they don't jump in the koi pond (LOVED this feature!) they will simply disturb the whole atmosphere. My sister and I were in Chelan for a "girls" weekend and wine tasting. We stopped at Karma for what we thought would be the standard wine tasting experience (belly up to the counter and run through their offerings) but we were wisked away into their "caves" and seated in a wonderful area surrounded by wine barrels and a terrific ambiance. We were then handed a menu with a variety of bites ranging from something light to a full meal. We chose a flight of red wines each and a cheese and fruit tray to share. The wines were delicious, the cheese and fruit platter was perfect. We had a wonderful time chatting, sipping and nibbling. Such a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff. This was one of the highlights of our visit and should not be missed! read more

I really like this winery. A family member got married here a couple years ago and we came back today with friends for lunch. The outdoor seating is great, just wish there was more of it. The grounds are beautiful, nicely manicured with a giant koi pond with beautiful huge fish. We all ordered flights of wine and sparkling wine and were given complimentary tasters of their hard cider. Staff was very friendly and we felt comfortable and well taken care of. I'm not a huge wine person but I liked what I had, sampling of three whites, and our friends regard this as one of their favorites. The food is great. Had the filet sandwich with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and blue cheese. It was considered a small bite but was plenty big to fill me for lunch, a size able sandwich on crusty bread. My husband had the baked Brie which he really liked, so much he didn't share a bite. The filet I had was tender, medium, and a good amount with sweet onions and tender mushrooms. I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese but there was just enough to make its presence known but not overwhelming. I highly recommend for a sunny outdoor lunch. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Karma today after not being there in about a year. The grounds themselves are beautiful however the wine itself unfortunately left much to be desired. All of the whites we tasted were blah. Some of them felt water down or had a weird aftertaste. This is unfortunate considering there are so many other fabulous wineries in the area. I give this winery two stars because our server was friendly, I love the ambience, and the bread they serve in between is a nice touch. read more

This is our go-to location. Every time we are in Chelan we make it a point to figure out how many times we can go there. Last time we had our son, who is 2.5 and a typical toddler. We were very nervous bringing him there but they were very welcoming and accommodating. They gave him fish food to feed the fish and he loved it. The food and wine are amazing! I like the sitting area that they provided for people coming in to try the flights or to eat. It was relaxing and it was one of the two that I enjoyed the most from my wine tour (my favorite one being the benson vineyards). The only reason that I pick Benson over Karma was just because of the estate size. Benson was really open and they had a lot of sitting/viewing areas, gorgeous spacious views, and it was a LOT bigger compared to Karma. HOWEVER, Karma wins in presenting the flights for tasting. The flights were presented all at once, with description on what each flight was, and you don't feel rushed at all. Benson, is more set up in that you taste the flight at a bar where tons of people are also doing the same thing and you might be fighting to get some attention. If it was up to me, I would: Karma - Sit down, relax and do the tasting flights here. Benson - Skip the flights, and buy a bottle of your favorite wine from them, and take it out so you can enjoy your wine and the view. read more

We waited for quite a while to get inside (which is not an issue) but once we made it in, we waited at the bar for at least 25 minutes behind people who were getting their tasters and not moving. There was 1 bartender who attended to those at the bar. Since no one at the bar was moving away to the open tabletops, nobody else was getting served. It took 45 minutes for us to finally get a taster of sparkling wines (that were fine). It seemed that they were catering to the older more affluent customers and ignoring the younger couples waiting. Every time we go to Chelan, we visit Karma. I was SO upset with our last visit. I normally would give this place a 5 stars, but based on our horrible service, and lack of even being able to try any wine - it only gets a 1. We came mid day, mid week during July. The only person that even talked to us, was the gal that sat us. But she sat us in the worse spots in the place. (With only 2 other tables being used). We have always come for the wine, but stay for lunch too... but after 10 mins of no one eve looking at us - let alone seeing if we'd like a drink, we finally left. I was so so disappointed. I liked Karma! The location is really fun (boutique feel, fountains, bistro seating), they have some food options, and most importantly, they have some interesting wines. I liked the Griesling in particular. Really nice staff here as well- I only wanted to try one wine rather than do a full tasting and they gave me a glass free of charge. Awesome indoor restaurant/ tasting. Cool lighting with an underground bunker. Yeah, bunker isn't the romantic wine-fueled word you're looking for but trust me, its surprisingly pleasant and cozy nice.
