This is AUTHENTIC Salvadoran food! Literally everything we ate was amazing! The location can be off putting, but don't judge a book by its cover. So friendly and the food was out at a reasonable amount of time with a party of 7. I'm obsessed and have been back more than twice in a week

I ordered pupusas and they were so good delicious and big the horchata drink was also so good and the price for them also good me and my daughter ate with a a little over 20 dollars including the drinks and the service was also very welcoming .

I give it a for 4 star only cause its not my favorite place to come. No parking, and it needs a little upgrading. This isn't a fancy place, it's a mom's pop's kinda place. They are very nice people, great service. The food is great! I love the pupusas with no loroco ( that green plant ). I love the fried banana with sour cream. I had only one bad experience here. People usually from Central America like to put chicken feet in chicken soup. I had specifically asked not to have chicken feet in my soup and when I got my chicken soup Im about to eat the first spoon full and I was grossed out to see a chicken feet. I was so upset. I couldn't eat it and I didn't eat it I actually went home and cooked me a home meal.

Absolutely the best. 3$ for a delicious pupusa bigger than my face, not to mention a generous helping of curtido & salsa roja. Melty cheese, fresh masa, but it takes awhile because the food is made to order. Perfect place to grab lunch or a snack!

If you don't know what pupusas are then why are you reading this? More importantly, what are you waiting for? These things are legit, fresh, and delicious. Kasandra's makes a variety of super inexpensive and tummy-filling pupusas. On top of that, they are gigantic and come with a bucket of pickled cabbage. It's like ordering pancakes at IHOP and upon receiving your plate you remember that restaurant pancakes are way bigger than the ones you make at home. The señoritas were very friendly and humored me by conversing in Spanish (though they were pleasantly surprised that a tall, skinnybuff white guy like me knew so much about Salvadorian culture and spoke fluently without any trace of gringo in his accent). Check out the out-of-place flat screen blaring Univisión. The horchata was strangely darker than any I've had elsewhere. Worst-case scenario: you're out a couple bucks, but you will still be able to say you know what pupusas are and that you lived a little. Try this place at least once.

Food is delicious!!! their Pupusas de masa de arroz are so good. Breakfast is accompanied by fried beans, rice, 2 small pieces of fried plantain [the eggs however you want them] plus you have the option to get their frijoles licuados or their casamiento which is bomb!!! They got all the sopas from your childhood...to name a few since I have tried all of them lol de rez, de pescado (Two options mojarra or bagre) de pata, de pollo, y la de Gallina

Pupusa.. The loroco had too much vinegar . But it was warm and cheesy

Pupusas is the best option here . Empanadas : the texture was too smushy but had great flavor . Horchata was on point. Tamales were very salty . The service was terrible . Only 1 waitress. In the end this place is 50/50 wide menu

This is the best restaurant in South LA. The foods is authentic Salvadorian. The pupusas are the best in town!! You must visit if you're looking for a real Salvadorian food!!

The pupusas were perfect but I spent $30 on 2 shrimp cocktails and it's mostly sauce and tomato? Don't waste your money .

My boyfriend likes the pollo guisado. So that's good. However, I would not recommend trying the tostadas from here. Ugh.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

Service was quick, there is a big dining room with plenty of seating in case you want to dine in, looked very clean. Massive pupusas with a lot of filling, not one of those restaurants that give you nothing but masa, these pupusas were legit. They come with Curtido and the usual salsa roja. So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area! Parking on the street, or in the back very limited in the alley.
