This is a good and cheap spot to get some Salvi food! The place a bit small but it's worth it. The customer service was great and friendly. We had 3 pupusas and a pan con pollo. The pupusas were nice. Not overly doughy. Pretty cheesy and good ratios. The pan was not as good as my moms but definitely had great flavor. It's like ordering pancakes at IHOP and upon receiving your plate you remember that restaurant pancakes are way bigger than the ones you make at home. The señoritas were very friendly and humored me by conversing in Spanish (though they were pleasantly surprised that a tall, skinnybuff white guy like me knew so much about Salvadorian culture and spoke fluently without any trace of gringo in his accent). Check out the out-of-place flat screen blaring Univisión. The horchata was strangely darker than any I've had elsewhere. Got two of the loroco ones, two cheese, and two pupusas revueltas (pork and cheese). It was hard to tell which was which, but they were all plate-sized and gooey and delicious. They came with a generous side of curtido and a nice cold squirt bottle of the ketchup-y sauce. For 2-3 bucks per pupusa, we were stuffed and happy. They treat you like family too. The food is totally awesome and prices are more than reasonable. The walls are decorated with random Salvadorian artifacts and the smell of the kitchen instantly hits you as you walk in. Came here since it's really close to my work. The one who helped us only spoke Spanish so it was a bit hard to order. We tried the Combination Pupusa and the Chicharron one. I liked the Chicharron better since it tasted more meatier. The Combination consisted of cheese and beans which are not really my favorite items. Each pupusa is $2.50 which is reasonable. My family decided to try a Pupuseria while out in L.A. and ended up here. We were happy to notice it's A grade. Once inside, we were asked if it was for here or to go. After being told it was for dining there, we were given 3 menus. We are a family of 6, so one for me, my husband and oldest child. Although it started off pleasant, it only went down hill. We ordered a total of 7 pupusas and 4 meals with side of platano macho/frito (fried bananas). It was so frustrating when our waitress came with all pupusas at once and couldn't tell us which was which. She pretty much guessed as she passed them out. Long story short, in trying to get it all straightened out, an older lady from the back came out to try and help, to only end up making it worse. The two women were talking over my husband and I while we were trying to explain that we were given the order all mixed up, not all the correct kind and still in need of the two bean and cheese that my daughter had ordered. Although they were trying hard to be quick to fix it, they would have still gotten it wrong being that they were not listening! It was horrible and so frustrating! The food was overall average (one plate being yucca and fried chicharon, with the pork being extremely dry), with our favorite being the drinks, horchata and agua de tamarindo. But, even considering that, after all the confusion and how they were handling it, it really put a damper on the mood. It didn't help that our waitress never did tend to us the rest of our meal.
