You have to try the pupusas!
    Nayled R.

One of the best Salvadoran restaurants around! Pupusas are huge and never doughy. Any day or time you visit , it will be busy (some days the line is out the door) I recommend placing a phone order if your time is limited , definitely worth the wait. Due to the high traffic , waitresses can be a bit inattentive.. never personal. I leave this place warm and happy every time Food so good , I forgot to take a picture!

So glad I stopped by this past weekend morning. The food was delicious and the portions were bigger than expected. I really enjoyed the revuelta pupusa and the casario. Everything had good flavor and was very filling.

Ended up here for a birthday dinner. The parking lot is small, but I did not have any trouble finding a spot when I got there but it was packed as I was heading out. We were seated fairly quickly for our party of 10. The restaurant itself isn't huge; they have about 12 tables all together. It's a little cozy and they had a Christmas tree when I was there which I liked. Their bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant next to their patio seating. Now, the food. So, I'm a huge pupusa snob. I have very high expectations for pupusas, and I have to say that these pupusas did not blow me away. They were good, don't get me wrong. But they weren't finger-licking-must-have-another-even-though-I-can't-possibly-eat-more-good. The curtido was nice and acidic and their sauce was a little too watery for my taste but had good flavor. I also enjoyed some yuca frita con chicharon and that was solid. I had an atole the elote and that was very yummy. I could go back for that alone. I also shared the carne asada plate with my boyfriend and that was nothing special. It came with white rice and beans which were better than the meat, in my opinion. What really stood out to me was the service. It was good. The servers were on it the whole time. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very kind to everyone at the restaurant. Would I travel all the way out to vermont and 60th place for these pupusas? Probably not. But, if you're in the area and have a craving of comida Salvadorena then give this place a try.

Had the pupusas with zucchini and it was great and full of cheese. The ambiance was nice and family oriented. Service was quick despite being crowded the food arrived quickly.

The food was so bomb!! It's nice inside and the workers were lovely. Everything is worth the money!

Shame on me! It is completely unacceptable that I've been here two times and have not left to place a review. This place is very casual and often packed, it is a very popular restaurant. Aside, from the delicious food that they offer the women that work here are absolutely stunning and hard working! I was here last year in January and received the same server that I had last time, what an angel great service as I was able to watch the Spain versus Japan World Cup game. Japan beat Spain. Will be back when I find myself in the area

Paseo San Miguel is one of my breakfast go-tos because of its delicious food and estilo casero. My go to is the Casamiento and a Pupusa de Frijol, Queso y Loroco - which is usually a little more than enough food for one since the portions have gotten smaller. In terms of beverages, the horchata is refreshing and the coffee is so comforting. Service is friendly, but can be a little slow because it is a popularly busy spot. However, the ambience is so homey that a few extra minutes in the establishment are sincerely welcomed.

Portions are huge here! I usually order 4 pupusas but thank goodness I only got 3 because I had to force myself to finish the 3rd one since I did not expect them to be so big. Next time I'll just get two, but the pupusas are a 5/5 here for flavor and they are generous with filling not like other places the most of the pupusa is just masa. The Salvadorian horchata is not good here. I came in with a big group and most of the people in my group asked to have their salvadorian horchata replaced with another drink because it tasted super watered down. The ensalada de frutas drink was the saving grace. Great for a casual meal or family gathering dinners. I would definitely come here again if I am in the area!

I can't even remember the last time I had freaking bomb pupusas. It's been a long time. This is an authentic Salvadoran dish served here and I was blown away. The size of the pupusas are so big and thick. I got full off of one and was happy to save the second for leftovers. The wait during lunch on a Thursday was a bit long. Everyone wants to come have some tasty Salvadoran food! It does get warm inside so be prepared for that. There is plenty of seating as well but just be ready to wait if you're going at lunch time hours. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive as well. I always appreciate service like that.

Pupusa revuelta $5, salvi horchata watered down. Walking in 2 waitresses ignored us. After waiting for about 5-10 minutes. We were walking out when manager came to get us and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. Not going back.

    A shame

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!
