This Kate Spade has a nice variety of purses and accessories. I stopped in to see if I could find a gift for my son's friend and they had a lot of great items and pretty good deals. I am not sure how things are discounted but of course the one item I wanted for myself was not an additional discount and since I was looking for gifts I passed it by. The store is nice, bright and open and everything is very organized. The staff was ok. I did notice them greeting people as they came in but for some reason were not when we walked in. Sometimes even just a smile as you walk in is enough for me but nothing this time. We were also asked who was helping us when we made our purchases and I had said no one. I knew what I was looking for so it was ok but it seemed like the sales team was hyper focused on certain people in the store (which I did not see what they were purchasing). I admit, I'm a sucker for a good deal. That said, I did a lot damage on my credit card here. I got some bags for my daughter and grabbed a few for myself! A great bargain is so hard to resist! While the selections and deals were great, the customer service was just ok. The girls at the register weren't very friendly. I was also a bit turned off that they charged $5 for the bag covers that normally comes when you purchase a purse. i'm a HUGE kate spade fan. i have over 10 pieces from them and regularly visit. i went in today and was incredibly disappointed. i usually have great service here but because i was dressed regularly (jeans and a plain shirt), nobody said hello to me or offered me any help. i got a half smile from an employee across the room with her arms crossed after being in there about 5 minutes. meanwhile, other women were being offered help/assistance around me. i found a bag i LOVED but didn't want to support or spend my money someplace i didn't feel valued. the only time someone spoke to me was to calculate the discounted price for the bag, and then walked off. i ended up leaving and felt really upset and bothered by the whole experience. i felt compelled to say something to the staff but i didn't, not wanting to cause a stir. i'll definitely be reconsidering spending my money here in the future, especially if this is routine behavior. read more

I'm a Kate Spade fan and have previously spent full price for items, but nevermore! This outlet is a great place to get your fix. This is a fairly small boutique, many times there is a line to get in (mostly on the weekend) but it's never more than ten minutes. During the week there is never a line. They have a small full priced section with the newest items, but most of the store is on a deep discount. I love the jewelry section and have purchased a couple of purses. You see people buying ten purses at a time, probably to sell them full priced on eBay. The store is very well staffed and the employees are helpful, available and kind. I've always enjoyed my interactions with the staff there. Don't hesitate to ask someone for help, they got your back! Check this place out and find your next favorite piece! read more

True outlet store with such amazing sales!! If you like kate spade handbags, wallets, jewelry or accessories, this is the place for you!! It's located amongst other great handbag outlets but they had the best deals by far. Most of the store was either 50% off or 60% plus 20%. They have great colors right now and lots of size variations. The store has everything you would need but highly recommend for gifts. They carry the larger computer bags, luggage, all purse variations and all jewelry. They even had diamond studs for $10. They have smaller wallets that are about $18 after the sales. Would be perfect for Christmas or bridesmaid gifts. Lastly, the customer service was great at this location. KS makes purses for the outlet malls so rarely will you see a purse in here that you saw at Nordstrom or the store at Fashion. Very similar but not the same quality . My wallet I bought 2 years ago still looks new. The employees are extremely friendly and willing to help you find whatever you are looking for. If you are torn between handbags they will even talk with you to help you figure out what you really want. There is always an ample amount of employees and the check out line moves very fast. I came the other day and they were doing 60% off everything in the store. There was even a line to get in the store. The line moved pretty fast and there was still excellent service in the store. I know for me as a Kate Spade fanatic and shopper, it's sometimes overwhelming to step into this store. You ask why, because you want to purchase every piece in that store. Especially when there is a crazy sale like this past week, 70% off all their merchandise. I know crazy right??? I purchased about $700 worth of merchandise this past week for about $235. I know I was extremely happy I saved all that money with amazing pieces I handpicked. The sales associates here are very helpful and attentive with the customers every need. This past time I was there, I noticed a tall gentlemen at the door. Not sure if he was security or a doorman or both. But anyway he was very nice and cordial as we came in and as we exited. I'm so sorry to write a bad review. I hardly ever do this. But I'm very sad about the one of the store managers at this store. My bags fell apart in 3 months! That is NOT what the reputation of Kate Spade purports. When I said I was worried about the material holding up the sales woman, who sold it to me, said that as long as I had my credit card I could return it for full price at any time if it fell apart. That was NOT what happened at all! The manager said the return policy was 30 days, that it didn't matter if I had my credit card, & she would only give me store credit for $44! That's over $100 less than I paid! & she was snotty about it to boot! SHEESH! Ok, I get it, stores need to make $, but so many things went wrong here: from shoddy quality, to "misinformed" sales people, to snotty managers! And last I checked even the KS outlet wasn't exactly selling their bags at Wal Mart prices. They can afford a little good customer service! I've always liked Kate Spade's design - modern, chic, classy, simple, elegant and fun. No flashy monogram or logo like many other brands out there. They also have some cute patterns too. Their original prices are ridiculous for something that is made in China, not Europe or even Eastern Europe or America. That being said, that is the reason Kate Spade outlet is the only place I will ever buy a Kate Spade, or discounted stores or ebay, because I am not paying $200 for a bag cheaply produced in China. Not that Chinese make bad products, but knowing that I'm paying so much for a low-cost product goes against my logic. Look, they charge you $60 for a KS bag and they're still making profit, so that gives you a hint how cheap it is to make a leather handbag in China. An Italian made versus a Chinese made or even an Eastern European made handbag have quality differences. For the sale prices here, you can find good deals. Almost all the time they have 60% off, sometimes with an additional 20% off! Pop in from time to time because they always add new products. The tags will say when the product is released. Some of them are very recent so you aren't buying dated stuff. However, I'm not sure if they produce things specially for outlets though. Don't forget the extra 10% off with the VIP coupon book! I got a black clutch with nice tan stitches and an add-on shoulder strap, a classy and versatile choice. The bag was made well and I got it for around $70 which is acceptable for my budget for a handbag. Any bag that costs more than $150 better be made in Italy or France otherwise I don't think it's worth it for me. Their nylon totes are very light and versatile, kinda like the classic Longchamp. (They aren't all made in France either.) Staff here have been super friendly and attentive even though the store is always packed. Very professional! You might drop a lot of money here. Came in last Sunday to bring in some relatives from the Philippines for their "outlet shopping" experience. This store is not far from my dad's car rental branch in Vista but I haven't found a strong enough reason to pay a visit until I had to take family around. So surprised to see a Kate Spade store! My favorite... And I really can't resist. I got really lucky I came on a weekend when they were doing 50% off the entire store. PLUS a 10% off for AAA members. Awesome deal. When the sale is 50% off plus an additional 30%, you can't leave the store without something. This is an unreal sale. I love the different collections and they didn't have super out of season stuff. I scored a cute navy-purple bag that was from February and a cross body to replace my worn out Michael Kors bag, all for under $100. This is such a good price and there were so many other things I wanted to purchase (clothes, sunnies, phone covers, jewelry, wallets). If there is a sale like this regularly, it'll be hard to stay away. As others have said, it's a VERY busy store. Amazing selection of handbags - nothing from the current season, but a very big variety. The only store in the outlets that keeps a waiting queue outside. I think it's more of a gimmick though because other stores are just a small and most of them had better discounts - so the line adds to the allure of the store. I have to say they do "keep it classy" - it doesn't look like an outlet - no bags strewn about or bins filled with abused hand bags...
