Kate's Critter Care is NOT faceless, nameless, transactional, or cold - the only difference between having your best friend take care of your pet and having a trusted member of Kate's do so is the fact that you make your reservations and pay online (which is super convenient). My cat and I have worked with a couple sitters, and they seem to be just as enamored of her as they are their own pets. During the initial meeting, they take notes, ask follow up questions, and take the time necessary to get to know your pet and his/her unique personality and needs. It's not just about handing off your keys and showing them where the litter box is. Clearly, they put the well-being of your pets before their own business and financial gain. They text with updates and pictures, are always on time, leave everything spotless, and leave very nice, personalized notes for you when you return home. We had a wonderful experience with Kate's Critter Care. Karen took wonderful care of our 2 dogs while we were on vacation. This was the first time that we left our dogs in the care of someone other than family. Before I came across KCC, we were researching various boarding facilities in the area. It was making me very nervous to know that my girls would be stuck in an unfamiliar, cramped space for most of the day. Not to mention, it seemed like most have ridiculous fees tacked on to their boarding rates (ex. it costs for 5 min of playtime, 5 min of belly rub time, etc). I was so relieved when I came across KCC, knowing that our girls would be able to stay in the comfort of their own home. I was even more relieved after meeting Karen, since it was clear she was going to give our girls plenty of attention! It made our vacation so much more enjoyable knowing that our girls were being so well taken care of. We missed them, of course, but it was wonderful to get daily updates with pictures to see how much fun they were having with Karen! I literally used to fly my Mom in town anytime that we needed to leave town because I didn't know what else to do to avoid boarding. I highly recommend Kate's Critter Care. After an unpleasant experience with another company in the area, I was a little nervous, but meeting Ginny, my sitter, alleviated any concerns I had. She not only asked about the location of the food and litter boxes, but she also made sure she knew where the pet crates were in case of an emergency, so she'd be prepared just in case. Ginny went above and beyond in the service she provided. When she had questions about how much food to give the cats, she asked immediately; she emptied and washed and refilled the litter boxes; and she took out the trash and recycling on the day I was arriving home (I'd forgotten to). She sent cute pictures of the cats every day letting me know they were doing well. Also, my shy cat absolutely loved her, and that's the highest praise I can give. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of Kate's Critter Care. Kate's Critter Care is absolutely wonderful. I have two cats and Kate takes great care of them when I'm out of town. One of my cats is elderly (and skittish) and requires multiple medications, and Kate is always able to medicate her with ease. She sends me daily email updates with pictures to show how my babies are doing, and they always look happy and at ease. In addition to being wonderful with my cats, Kate goes above and beyond in taking care of my home as well. My refrigerator recently stopped working while I was on vacation, and Kate came over one day to find a puddle of water on the kitchen floor from the icebox melting. She cleaned up the mess, transferred and stored the perishable food in her own refrigerator without my even asking, and volunteered to wait for the refrigerator repair service to come to my home. Kate is by far the best pet sitter I have ever had. I never worry about my babies when they are in her care. I will start by saying I absolutely hate leaving my two kitties and am usually plagued with worry anytime I'm away and they aren't in my care. I've had some not-so-great experiences with sitters in other places I've lived in the past, so I'm always a little nervous. However, from start to finish, my experience with Kate's Critter Care was fantastic, and I truly knew my cats were in good hands. Julie helped me get set up and was so nice, responsive, and helpful. They use an online system called LeashTime that allows you to request your visits electronically and even specify time windows for each day, which was really convenient. Elyse was my sitter and took wonderful care of my kitties. She sent detailed updates with pictures every day, without fail, and really made me so at ease. When I got back, the place looked great and my babies were clearly well-fed and cared for. We've used KCC several times over the last year. The first time I contacted them and explained our strange travel/no travel schedule based on certain work obligations, Kate and Julie set about making things as easy and flexible as possible for us. Our last trip lasted over a week and even though I'm a worrier when we leave our dogs, I received updates each day, along with pictures, which helped me remain at ease. We came home to a neat house and fed and tired dogs who had clearly been loved. We got a chance to take a little getaway to the beach and finding we couldn't take our Pups on the beach we had to leave them:( but never fail Kate's Critter Care was there! We recently used Kate's Critter Care to help care for our dog while we were away for a long weekend. Previously, we have been able to find a friend or neighbor to watch our dog and have never used a pet care service before. However, this time on short notice, we couldn't find a dogsitter. Daiane of KCC always does a great job with my three cats - the litters are clean, the bowls are full, and it's obvious the cats have had "play time". I also ask her to feed some outside cats that come around, and she always does so. Earlier this year, I had an emergency need for pet sitting services, and KCC and Daiane were right there to assist.
