I started going to this salon after a coworker of mine posted they were giving away free deep conditioning and blow for Nurses Week! I needed a new colorist so made an appointment with Katherine! And I absolutely love her, and this salon! I always wanted to go very light, platinum blonde and she helped me get there. She educated me on how to properly care for my hair, and which products to use. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Here we go. The stylist I went to went off on maternity leave so I went back to the beginning, to Katherine Jon salon. This time I brought my 23 yr old son with me. He was in desperate need (as is long greasy looking locks) need of a haircut and style. Well beautiful Nicole took him off for a consultation where they talked about likes a &dislikes and she came up with a style that suited him perfectly. She did such an edgy hip and awesome job. Honestly have not seen him look so happy with his hair since he was little. Kudos to Nicole. Now for me I had Brittney and what. Fabulous cut she gave me. So I offered some criticism and apparently they can not and will not tolerate it. Instead of taking a negative honest review as challenge and prove me wrong I was told "I can no longer be your hair dresser". In my opinion its extremely immature, unprofessional, and childish. She did something I never have done before in my life and im finding styling a bit of a challenge and waking up every morning look like crap every day so I asked for advice since she the one works in the field and she the expert. Being treated like she couldn't be bothered or cared as certainly pushed me away. Like I have given a ton of breaks but now since she doesn't want me to her client because she wants to be childish because I wrote honest negative review. Like example I made an appointment once and she reached out the day before once to reschedule my entire day so she go with a couple of her fellow employees to go to city to a another salon but not offer me anything in return and make me come in a different time that I had to rebook things that I did for her because I enjoyed her work on her and at that time I didn't believe it was the time to start a fight. Also like her constant working on other clients as she work on me drive me absolutely crazy because if im scheduling an appointment I want the person who working on me complete attention and not be separated on other people. If its a problem with time you control your schedule give yourself more time. I have felt many times I was cheated out of my time for other people to point I stop coming on time because I could show up and still waited for her to get done with previous appointment which is disrespectful to me I feel like they don't care. Also I been told so many times I have to take my next client I need you to wait over there until im ready for you to be washed I wanted to say so many times ok then I would like to leave then instead sitting like an idiot feeling completely judged. She randomly walked away I be myself for a long time feeling like abandoned and dumb and humiliated because sitting in a chair with dye in it no one there I felt like an idiot just waiting or meant to be like a dog waiting for there owner to get back. It's small things I see pass because I enjoy her and her work but if she gonna be rude and disrepectful to me because I asked for help with her post work I don't think is to much to ask for in my opinion. I asked can we talk because im honestly unhappy and she like nope you wrote a bad review I cant see you or be your hairdresser in the future and I can recommend someone else. Like if your gonna say that instead taking as a challenge to reverse into a positive review and show me wrong is the better way to do it. I once love this place but Unfortuenly Chelsea doesn't know how to take honest criticism in a constructive way. I decided to come here after moving to the area recently. Marina was incredible and did the most amazing job washing my hair and massaging my head. Katherine did my haircut and did a beautiful job. I only get a simple cut but she was kind, attentive, and really cares to give me the exact cut I wanted. When I left my hair felt so healthy and weightless. All staff was incredibly kind and the salon was extremely clean. I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

This place is okay. They offer you coffee or tea when you come in which is nice. I got my hair cut twice there and they did a decent job. My only issue was that I always felt like I was interrupting their social time. The stylist never paid much attention to me or bothered to try to carry on a conversation the whole time I was sitting in the chair. I won't be going back. read more

Six star service! I went there for about three years or so while living in New York and got handled by her lovely stylist Erik who is probably to date one of the top 3 best stylists I've ever had (and trust me, I've had ALOT). I think the way he relaxes my hair (yes sistas, they do relaxers and they do them WELL) is maybe my favorite - I hear he's in and out of NY now. Any of their stylists look more than capable though. It's also a very posh but incredibly cozy space, really the epitome of how a "Saturday at the salon" should look without the hassle. :-) read more

$75 for a haircut and they talk you into having a deep conditioning treatment that actually made my hair drier. The girl who cut my hair did a fantastic job but the haircut itself was overpriced along with the unnecessary deep conditioning treatment. I was told new customers got 20% off and then when I went to pay the owner said it was 15% off for new clients. Kinda rude. It just seemed they were pushing all these products on me at check out and looking to rack up a huge bill. I walked out of there paying nearly a $100 for just a haircut. What a great way to lose a customer. No thanks. I would never go back. read more

I've been twice and have been in love with my cut on both occasions. Nicole is a dream. So sweet and really pays attention to what I like and don't like. Sticker shock and over 5 hours at a salon!!!!! I've been living in the city for a while and decided to get my hair done while at home. Color and cut after over a year and much needed. Decided to go to to this salon in hopes that it was cheaper than doing this all in the city and especially after looking at prices on their website and beautiful hair cuts. I called during the week and was able to get an appointment that Saturday. I wasn't told what level stylist it was. I got a bayalage redone a hair cut and a root touch up to cover grays and it cost over $300 - very big sticker shock!!! I also assumed they charged me for a conditioning treatment without telling me it would be extra. Also, I was there for over 5 hours - 5 hours on a saturday. I was told it was because my hair was long (but I choped off prob 4-5 inches) and I counted 3 people come in and get color and cuts and were out the door while I was still sitting in the chair. I showed pictures of what I wanted and the end product was not close! Looks like ombre, very dark on top and pieces on bottom are all different colors of blonde. I think I'm going to have to spend more $ now to get a toner put in in the city since I will not be back home for a while. Very very disappointing and I will not be returning. read more

This salon is amazing. The second you walk in you're greeted warmly. They offer to hang up your jacket and ask if you'd like something to drink. They schedule appointments so well that I've rarely waited and when I have it's never more than a few minutes. My stylist always asks what I want done and she listens! My color always comes out just right and I love my hairstyle. When I wanted "something new", I brought in pictures and my stylist made some great suggestions so the new look looked great on me. My stylist always tells me what products she's using in my hair but there's never any pressure to buy. My favorite part of my appointment is getting shampooed. They give a scalp massage that is sooooo relaxing. One of the things I love about the salon is each client has a file with all your information about color and pictures of you with your finished style. When my stylist was on maternity leave this really came in handy. I'm never going anywhere else! read more

Friday was my 5th time getting a haircut here. I specifically asked for someone who was good with curly hair. Out of the 5 haircuts, I have gotten 2 of the worst cuts ever. One by Cynthia, and the most recent by Eric. It is horrible. After the cut and blow drying started, I made the mistake of saying it still seemed long. He started cutting and chopping dry hair. I knew it didn't seem right but didnt say anything. Even if I don't like the way it is styled, I usually like it once I do it myself. Not this time. It is chopped and uneven. I cant do anything with it. It will takes months before I will be able to make it look good. It looks like I paid $10 at The Lemon Tree and to the contrary, it was a $60 haircut because he is supposed to be one of their most experienced stylists. Very expensive to be this unhappy. I am so upset and I will never go back. read more

My second visit to this salon and as far as my stylist, I give 5 stars. However, on my first visit I was able to add the tip when I paid for services on my card. Seems the norm to me. My second visit I was told AFTER my transaction, "oh...we can't do that anymore." There was no apology and in fact, the reply had such an attitude of "well too bad for you". I don't carry cash as a rule and when I mentioned that, I was told that there was a bank in the same strip mall that I could get cash from. I wasn't about to pay ATM fees for using a foreign ATM so I drove to my own bank to get cash. The whole ordeal took about 30 minutes after my appointment was over. Nothing but an unnecessary waste of time. The frustrating thing was I drive right by my bank on my way to the appt. I would have stopped if I'd known the policy had CHANGED! It would have been incredibly helpful if this new policy would have been mentioned when I called to schedule. ESPECIALLY to returning customers. If you use their services just make sure you have cash! read more
