My bridal party is mixed ethnicity, all with different hair textures and desired hair styles, but Hannah and her team did a wonderful job! I really appreciated that the makeup artist was flexible and considerate when doing the makeup of my mom and mother-in-law; neither wear much makeup and were worried about heavy makeup or makeup that doesn't suit their style and age. But they both received a natural look they were happy with. Also, my hair, veil and pin were flawlessly in place all night! We finished my hair around 2pm and from then until 11pm I needed it to stay up and under control. I had half my hair up and half of it down, swept to the side. Hannah sent an itinerary ahead of time so I and my bridesmaids would know what to expect. Her team is efficient and helpful - we asked for help putting on false eyelashes and borrowed a couple powder products when we found we were a few products short. As someone who usually hates makeup and dressing up, I am sure I was a relatively challenging bride to please, but I really appreciated Jasmine's patience with me as I underwent the process of figuring out what I wanted to look like on my big day. While most brides do one trial, she made herself available to me four times on the weekend, to make sure I felt completely comfortable by the time of my wedding weekend. Her expertise was also invaluable to me, especially given my inexperience, and she offered me a lot of insight in general as to how to take care of my skin. I now regularly use some of the products she suggested. On the day of our wedding events, we had our hands full and couldn't make time to confirm all the details with any of our vendors. But Jasmine showed up to every event exactly on time and was always completely prepared. I felt a little frazzled that day (to say the least), but she had a very calming presence that really helped extinguish my stress. On my wedding day, I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world. Unlike other artists, she was prompt with replying, thorough, and patient. When planning out the details of your look is very stressful, Jasmine's professional and very organized approach made me feel at ease. Communication - I don't live in the Bay Area so I reached out to Anamika a couple months before the wedding to plan a trip around the time she would be free for a trial. She didn't respond for two weeks, and only finally responded when our wedding planner stepped in. I had booked with her 10 months before the wedding at which time the communication was fine - after giving the deposit (50% of service so 1000$) she was unresponsive. 2. I have very curly hair that takes quite some time to straiten and usually is frizzy when straitened. I explained this to Anamika when booking and she said it was fine as long as I tried my best and it was clear that I had gone through all of my hair with a strait iron before she arrived. At the trial she looked at my hair and asked me if I had read the contract, that she required very straight hair. I explained that this is the best that I could do. I would be fine to just go for a natural style or something else that would take less time if this didn't work for her. I showed her my hair in natural curls and said that we could just arrange the hair without heat styling - whatever is easiest. In the end I felt shamed for my natural hair and she put such little effort into it during the trial. At one point, I even asked her if - given that she was uncomfortable with my hair, we could cancel the contract, but she refused. I actually got 2 Brazillian blowouts before the wedding to make my hair fair enough and purchased an additional set of extensions at another length to be easier to blend. 3. On the wedding morning Anamika was about 20 minutes late to start with hair and makeup. We actually ran behind schedule for my sari draping, and the sari draper had to make other accommodations as she would be late for her next appointment if she waited for me. For the reception look, I had e-mailed her saying I wanted to do crimped hair and she replied that as long as my hair was strait it would be fine. My hair was strait (helped along by the two chemical Brazilian treatments) but she simply said she didn't bring her crimping tools and proceeded to do a typical blowout look with extensions.

I wouldn't book with her if you want someone who can communicate with you and not feel like you're a burden. Now I'm struggling to find someone else to do my wedding makeup that's in 3.5 months. It honestly sucks because I thought she was a sweet girl with good intentions but she's the opposite of what she portrays on social media. I was super hesitant on even posting this because I'm not the type to be so confrontational but I needed to warn anyone who wants to book with her, to not do it. Find someone else she says social media is her job which I get but not responding for over a week? My sisters and I wear very little makeup on a daily basis and know very little about makeup in general. Miranda was very patient with me during my make up trial as it was the first time I've ever had my makeup done. She was also extremely patient with my sisters on the wedding day as it was also their first time and we had a lot of questions. She was very friendly and kind and it was a pleasure talking to her while getting ready. She is very gentle with the makeup and easy to trust. She made me feel so incredibly beautiful without making me feel unnatural. She takes the time to listen to how you would like your makeup done and is very adaptable. For example, I have very oily skin and she adapted which make up she used to make sure I wouldn't be shiny throughout my big day.
