I love going to apple salon! I've been going here for many years my mom as well! I moved to Antioch almost 6 years ago but haven't found another nail spot like this! The prices are amazing and the ladies are great. Sarah is the owner and does my nails. As you can see she's extremely talented. She's willing to try anything I show her. Hannah does my toes. I absolutely love Hannah she's a joy to talk to and cracks me up everytime. All the other ladies are always busy cutting hair and doing pedicures. This place stays busy. This is the worst saloon in that area. I went there for a hair cut but got bruises around my neck. I wonder if they can do this to me, what will happen to the little children who get their hair cut here. I wanted to let it go but even after repeatedly telling that she is hurting me, she went on to use that instrument on my neck. May be she is having a rough day. Went here for a mani-pedi and a facial. Got regular (no gel!) and you couldn't beat the prices. The pros: very accommodating, took me at last minute walk in. The pedicure was pretty good, with really thorough trimming and exfoliating. The facial was pretty relaxing and calming too- would definitely come back for these two services! The cons: The nail polish used isn't the best quality- it chipped the next day after my mani. The nail tech who did my manicure really rushed the job and didn't really shape my nails. I realized they were uneven after I left the salon... All in all, I would definitely come back, although just for pedicure and facial services. read more

Beware of this salon for permanent hair straightening. I did Permanente hair straightening from Sera . At the salon after straightening it looked good . But after 1st wash it was looking like a regular hair not like the permanent straightening.please never ever go to this salon. They are not using branded products. read more

I did a walk-in and was immediately accommodated for a pedicure. Water was warm, the massage chairs were nice, and my tech (didn't get her name) was very welcoming. I didn't know what package to get, so she suggested the apple deluxe, and gave me the color choices on the keyring. The package came with and orange-smelling scrub of the lower legs and feet, cuticle care and callus removal with some clear gel and pumice scrub. I opted for a gel pedicure (note this is like $10 bucks on top of the $41 package) where she put a couple coats and after drying in the light machine, did a mask of the feet and lower legs (reminds me of the clay facial masks) which gave a minty refreshing feel. This was followed by a freesia-smelling lotion rub - I'm not sure if it was a full 10 mins or if it was timed evenly on each side since there was no timers. It wasn't that busy and the other techs were eating, watching videos on their phone, gossiping in Vietnamese, and doing their own hair/nails. I paid by card, so note there is also an extra $2 surcharge for that. There's also something upstairs and you can hear all the stomping of the people up there, so it kind of distracted from a relaxing ambience. I would come again because it's close and friendly. Plenty of parking and there is another salon in the same shopping center. (BTW I didn't see the address, just the maps of how far this would be, and the location is wrong. Well. I have been here twice and the first time I had a good experience but the second time the service was a disaster. My experience is as follows: 1. They were in a hurry and cut my hair in less than 5 mins. And it was only half done. 2. I told them to go a bit more short and the hair dresser hastily shortened my hair and did it so bad that some of the hair was just standing out and she said "see, I told you and you didn't listen". The thing is I have cut my hair shorter than that but looked good. 3. The dresser was constantly mumbling something to the coworkers Jeba language that I didn't understand. Especially when I made additional requests which is irritating and gives you a feeling that they are talking about you. 4. The whole process of haircut was not gently like when I asked them to make my hair shorter I felt that she didn't like it and forcefully moving my head which I didn't like. 5. Though the communication in English was good during my visit, I felt that the dresser didn't understand me a bit the second time. read more

I got my haircut, massage and shampoo. The staff here are very friendly and professional. The service for the price is a very good value. The place is clean. Even my wife got her waxing and pedicure. Went to get a manicure and pedicure and within next few hours my french manicure was all gone. Would not recommend the place.

I came here based on my wife's friend recommendation.While it may be cost effective,I am not too happy about the hygiene and the interior. I could smell potty smell here and they had big fans running which was making the place worse.it was full when we went in but I would recommend another place even if it is a few $$$ more. I went there for regular manicure. Got the worst manicure ever. The nail paint chipped almost on all the nails within 2 days. I could have done a better job myself at home. There were 2 ladies and both were in such a hurry to get done with the manicure while there were no other customers at that time. The nail paint was going out of nails. Still I tipped them as a courtesy. Did not like the service at all. I don't recommend it to anyone. I would go back to some other place which gives value for my hard earned money. My $$ went down the drain. Also they say 4min and 7min of massage for manicure and pedicure and they hardly provide 2min massage. Very disappointing!!! read more

PLEASE just go to "SOFTY NAILS". This place is not worth your money I promise you. When I first got here it didn't feel welcoming. The water was cold, then she pulls out all dirty nails tools, I asked for sanitized tools and a new filer, they did not have any clean tools! They're using the same tools and files on everyone's feet. So unprofessional & dirty definitely not a place you want to be. was literally one thing after another I stoped her nicely before she can do anything with the tools and told her I do not want the services sorry. They still tried to get money out of me for soaking my feet in cold water. NOPE NOPE NOPE! My family comes here to get haircuts every once in a while. I got my hair dyed a few weeks ago with Sarah! She was so patient and communicative. I love the vibrant color on my hair and it didn't even require bleach. So far the color has been staying nicely when I wash my hair! Good quality, good prices, good service. :) read more

I have been here couple of times for eyebrows threading & arms-leg waxing. a) the thread they use is sooooo sharp. Feels as if its cutting my skin. They are not gentle with threads & wax. Since the result is good, I am okay. I went for partial hair highlight & it is NOT VISIBLE at all. Looks like my own hair, all my friends didn't even realize it (sad). I am soooooo disappointed in it. Specially after paying 100+ for it. Also, IDK why it costed so much first of all. This place is worth the money spent. If you are going for eyebrow waxing, please ask for Sarah and NO ONE ELSE. Nobody else does a good job for eyebrow waxing. Your look will go worse of you get it done by someone else. I specifically ask the lady who did eyebrow waxing for me today to remove just the extra hair growth for my eyebrows as they are already short and thin, but the lady put extra wax and made it even more thin, now it looks like as if I have only half of my left eyebrow. When I got my eyebrows waxed previously 4-5 times with Sarah, it did a great job. My eyebrows were perfectly shaped and looked very beautiful. So ask for Sarah and no one else. I am giving 4 stars because they do a good job for my husband and my son's haircut and Sarah for my eyebrow waxing. 1) Rushed job: Did not appreciate them taking on more customers than they had staff for, but I know many salons do it. The shellac color I chose for my nails was wrong and when I asked, she asked me to wait again (so they could serve the family that wanted 4 hair cuts 30 mins to close, and I had already waited so the first girl could help another guy who walked in after me with a hair cut). Also frustrated because I called ahead to make an appointment, but it really didn't matter. Seemed the walking were treated just as fast, if not faster? 2) Switching staff between a single treatment: I'm not sure if this is to get to tip more than you would of (I.e, $5 for a $35 is decent but splitting that between 2 people is pretty cheap). Manicure was done out of order. Also, the wait between staff so they could accommodate walk ins who arrived later than me - not appreciated. 3) Children running around: Now this is more of the parents' issue (both of whom were there), but since it is a hair salon as well, there's families. Now I like kids, but I can't stand out of control ones (I.e. Shrieking, running indoors, playing their phones games on blast). Don't expect your treatment to be relaxing. I felt like I was at Kids Park, not a salon. 4) Nails: besides the wrong color, the job left a huge space between my cuticle and the color. It's looks like it's already a week or two old! I stumbled in here a year ago by accident! I had a hair appointment at the Salon next door and walked in not paying attention. Sara took me in right away (they had just opened not too long) and gave me a really good hair cut. It's so hard to find someone who can do good layers and she knew exactly how to cut my hair the way I wanted it. She also does amazing nails! This is my go to place now for hair and nails. If I can make one suggestion, its to have more people available to help out so the wait isn't so long. Best to go on off hours to avoid the wait. Seriously give them a try. Super friendly and I don't think they talk about people in their language or so I don't know since I don't speak their language! LOL read more

I couldn't give a 0.5 rating, hence decided to go with a 1 (after a lot of reluctance). Went for a men's haircut - the lady did not know how to give a haircut at all. Seemed like a complete amateur. The moment I told her that I didn't want a machine cut, but to cut with scissors, she was literally confused -I should have left right then. She took forever to trim hair above the ears, and another lady ( I presume the owner) had to come and help. Which mens salon will have 2 people working on you at the same time. Utterly ridiculous. Also, the hair cut was not uniform, very patch. I completely regret even tipping 2 dollars. Agree with Tim A - they try to flirt with you getting you to come back . She was like - why do you have a beard - how will you attract beautiful women like me etc - NEVER GO THERE AGAIN ~!! read more

This has been my go to place for nails and now for my eyebrow permanent make-up. Sara is naturally talented and she is very good at what she does whether it be a haircut or manicure or make-up tattoo. There's also another girl who does my mani and pedi but I'll have to come back and update this review with her name because she too, is amazing! I'm going to give you a head's up that this not a fancy place at all but it's neat and bright! The back room for waxing, tattoos, etc could be vastly improved from an aesthetic and experience stand point.
