I did have 4 cavities but it had been years since I'd been to a dentist and my teeth are horrible so that's not unusual, as well as one cracked filling. Dr. Lin took the time to show me some pretty cool up-close photos of my teeth, including the cracked filling. It was an old silver filling, which he explained are brittle and prone to cracking and even rusting, yuch! He did recommend that we do all the work in one sitting (about an hour and a half, yes) but I was completely on board with that because I don't have the time or patience to keep coming back for multiple appointments. He numbed the ever-loving life out of my mouth and I didn't feel a thing. I sat there happy as a numb little clam while Dr. Lin explained what he was doing as he did it. So far so good! My new white fillings look wonderful (aka you can't see them at all) and despite having so many fillings done at once, I experienced very little pain or sensitivity following the appointment and was back to normal within a couple days. Totally different from an experience with a different dentist when I had pain for weeks after the filling was done. The girls at the front desk are very sweet, and extremely helpful. I dropped about $400, but that was for the 5 fillings *and* a brand new mouth guard for teeth-grinding. My last mouth guard from my previous dentist? $428! That's not including any fillings at all! But, I have really good insurance, so there's that.

The hygienist was coughing into her sleeve during the procedure. The next day, I had the flu. 3. After getting a temporary crown, I had to plead with them to give me the permanent, because my insurer was in the process of rejecting one of the claims (see point 1). 4. They charged me $60 to transfer my X-ray, even though the ADA makes it clear that the cost should only be for printing and mailing copies (they emailed). When I confronted them, they said I signed away that right when I was filling out new patient paperwork. As if that makes it ethical. Stay away from this place.

Strangely enough, I really enjoy going to her office! She is very attentive and will make you laugh and forget about the pain. She does the cleanings/work herself, along with her assistant, Cindy, who is also great. My whole family has been regular patients in this place. Recently, we received a very rude reminder about dental cleaning and a threatening message that if we don't schedule our last cleaning for the fiscal year, our account will be deactivated! What is that supposed to mean? I don't understand what kind of business this place is running if they think these kind of messages are going to bring more clients?! Quite the opposite! It is unheard of hygiene appointments to be required so patients can keep their account active! Usually, dental facilities and private offices send friendly reminders for the patients to take advantage of a covered by insurance dental cleaning since there are only 2 per year. The manager needs to really apologize to all patients who received this kind of unpleasant email or text message as this is really unprofessional and totally unacceptable! After all, there are at least 30 other dental offices in the areas near by Newton Corner, Watertown, Brighton and Waltham. This kind of treatment of the patients would completely drive them away! I went to them for deep cleaning, a barbaric procedure I had done once thirty years ago. To begin, they moved my appointment multiple times until finally, I could come in on 2/15/25. When I arrived, they did the usual cleaning and exam. The doctor who had looked at my teeth told me several things that didn't feel right: - I need to remove my baby tooth eventually - I have 4 cavities that need fillings - I need a crown on my back tooth. What is interesting is that, I have been going to the dentist my whole life. I have never been told I need a crown (that the calcium was not built right as a baby and therefore needed a crown) or that my baby tooth would need to be removed. I have known I have a baby tooth for my whole adult life. It's genetic, and I have never had a dentist tell me that it will need to be removed eventually. In addition to showing me all of my "cavities" on a little tv screen with a camera, I was also encouraged to buy $22 fluoride toothpaste, and that I need Invisalign. I immediately switched back to my previous dentist.

They did not use any scare tactics, and try to sell me Botox before getting my teeth cleaned, and spend an a ridiculous amount of out of pocket money.
