After a pretty horrifying/unpleasant experience at a dentist's office when I was in my teens, I may have maybe... stopped going. I had zero interest in ever seeing a dentist again, frankly, and even after going with Jenny on one of her appointments and witnessing the level of care here... I still didn't want to go. In fact, it wasn't until Jenny begged me with her cute little twinkly blue eyes at the receptionist's desk that I ended up begrudgingly agreeing to come back for a cleaning. That's when the nerves set in. Oh, yes; chuckle now. Chuckle at how funny it is that I was nervous about having my teeth cleaned, but consider this; the last time I had the same procedure done (NOT AT THIS DENTIST) both the hygienist and I were literally covered in my blood after nearly two hours of her cranking on me with a hook. My gums separated from my teeth so much that I could move the sections that went up between my teeth freely, as if they were nearly unattached, for two weeks afterwards. And that wasn't even the worst part of the adventure. But I digress. Anyway, I came in for my appointment and was greeted with a smiling, warm face by the lady at the front counter. She checked me in, handed me a gift bag full of goodies(including a hand-written personalized card), and I went off to tremble like a chihuahua in the waiting room. The hygienist came in (the same one Jenny had... I was glad to see a familiar face) and I prepared for the ensuing bloodbath. We chatted/joked for a while and she checked out my teeth to see what she was working with. The X-Rays went smoothly (she even had another technician press the button to make it go faster since I have the worst gag reflex known to man) and I felt myself relaxing a little. It turned out that I needed a debridement before I could get a basic cleaning. She took the time to talk to the office, figure out the cost and describe what she was going to do. I cringed. I knew the tartar exorcism was soon to begin. I could see her grabbing some tools and I braced myself for that old familiar hook when... she pulled out some odd looking thing and explained that it used water and vibration to do the job. ... I have no idea if those tools didn't exist seven years ago or if my other hygienist was just a sadist, but I found myself oddly relieved. During the cleaning, she was: - Extremely meticulous. - Considerate (not asking "ARE YOU OKAY?" every three seconds but still very much paying attention to my facial expressions and such). - Funny and personable--able to joke one minute and then completely focus on scrubbing the barnacles off my teeth the next. When all was said and done, I... wasn't covered in blood. And neither was she. And my teeth felt... clean? The dentist, Dr. Beigi, came in and checked out my teeth. He proceeded to compliment them which made me feel awesome and discuss a battle plan for the handful of small cavities I have. He was very realistic, polite and very gentle when he was prodding around at my gums. When it came time to check out and handle the payment, Dee was very polite, funny and laid out explanations for procedure costs and whatnot. I left feeling confused but oddly excited to return in a week to complete the basic cleaning we scheduled. I went back today and got the same warm smile from the front desk. The hygienist was, again, EXTREMELY meticulous with cleaning off the rest of the residue on my teeth (instead of just overlooking an area if it seemed a little questionable, she would re-clean it until she was satisfied with the result), very gentle and generally pleasant. She is a wizard. ... Yes, I even told her. That's a high honor, you know. It was absolutely 100% painless and... actually kind of fun because my teeth now feel smoother than oiled-up glass. I made my next cleaning appointment for August without a slight amount of hesitation. I'm in love with this place and I've chosen to make it my mission to tell everyone I know about it. read more

This past weekend I was in an agony. I called my dentist Dr. Solomon. His answering service people told me they would page him. I waited about an hour and didn't hear back. So I used Yelp and started calling offices. The first two, one was a voice mail and the other one was answering service and I was told their doctors only saw their regular patients and would not see new patients on an call basis. So the next name on the list was chestnut hill dental associates. I saw their yelp ranking which was only one or two stars. I didn't care because I was in pain and this was Saturday evening. I called the number and got their voice mail that said in a case of emergency call this number. So I called the emergency number and The phone was answered by a man whom I thought it was the answering service. When I asked if they could page the doctor he said he was the doctor. I told him about my experience and he asked how close I lived to their office. I replied 10 minutes away. He said to me that he was 1 1/2 hr away but would see me at his office in about 2 hrs. I agreed while waiting for my own dentist to call. So I met the doctor who told me his name was dr baygi. He opened the door and we entered the office. This was at 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. He examined me and took couple of X-rays. He determined I had a dental infection and wrote some prescription for antibiotics and told me to contact my own dentist to have a root canal done. I asked how much I had to pay him. He stated to call his office manager on Monday. So I began to wonder why he would come and see a patient and then after finding out I had a dentist refer me back to my own dentist and try to recruit me as a new patient? What was the incentive? He didn't even ask me to pay right away. As far as I am concerned I could have walked out and never call his office to pay. When I got back home I looked up the yelp reviews. Because initially I saw low ranking but I never read the actual reviews. I started reading the negative and positive reviews. One thing I saw common in all the positive reviews was the fact that almost everyone had mentioned this particular doctor as a compassionate man. So this morning I called chestnut hill dental associates to take care of my bill. After my account was settled I couldn't help but ask the receptionist about negative reviews. She said that apparently they have a number of what she referred to as "Drug seekers". I had never heard the term before. These are people who are addicted to drugs and when they don't receive the narcotics they get very upset. She also said that there some who don't wish to pay their copays(for their work done) and they also get upset. That makes total sense to me. It's sad that these stars can really fool us and not let us get the treatment we deserved. I saw Dr Solomon (my own dr) today and he was impressed by the story so am I. read more

Ok, so I call the office to reschedule my appointment for later that day and guess who answers the phone on New Years Eve, Dr. Beigi I was surprised, I advised him of my current situation and he puts on his cape and literally saved my day! His only concern, was that I get there before 1:00pm so his staff could leave early enough and be home to plan for their parties. Umm are you hiring I thought, just kidding, but for real who does that?! He does, and guess what else he does, he makes financial adjustments so families with multiple mouths to fix are fully covered with money still left on our care credit account to take care of mom and dad's future needs. Remember I said earlier, I called to reschedule my appointment, it was due to the fact that my truck broke down and I had to have it towed, repaired and get a rental...right after Christmas! Wow I'm speechless, the fact that someone who has a position of authority, did just that, took authority! I have experienced dentist who act completely oblivious to the financial side of dentistry, and hand you off to the office manager to bite the bullet, knowing that you could really use a break. Dr. Beigi doesn't hold high merit in the community just because of hiscredentials, it is their compassion,diligence, and integrity that makes them favored. Patients don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care, and they care. I just moved to the area, and didn't know who to turn to when I had a toothache one day before an important meeting. I was in a lot of pain. I found Chestnut Hill Dental Associates, which I was highly skeptical about. the fact that staff was able to get me in right away and I was quickly diagnosed with a root canal problem. Root canal therapy was recommended. The doctor and his staff have been great as I've gone through this very long (and sometimes anxiety provoking) process. In addition to seeing me right away, Dr. Beigi has been able to accommodate my sometimes demanding schedule. One of his strengths is communication - unlike many doctors, Dr. Beigi has been very clear in explaining to me exactly what is happening, why it is happening, and what my options are at every step in this process. Dr. Beigi is still completing the reconstruction of the tooth, and I have been very happy with our progress so far. In addition to the one major problem, he also found and filled a cavity that another dentist had missed, fully evaluated my teeth, and has helped me develop stronger dental hygiene practices. Despite the very negative reputation of root canal therapy, I haven't felt pain at all through this process. The doctor is very gentle - if I had children, I wouldn't hesitate to take them here. I have been seeing The doctors at the Chestnut Hill Dental Associates for the past ten years. I am someone who used to be petrified of receiving dental treatment. This group has helped me with my oral care. Here there is a group of highly educated individuals in the art of dentistry but most importantly in the art of human behavior. In the last ten years I have had various dental procedures completed by them. My chronic headaches subsided after they informed me about my grinding. They fabricated me a special customized mouth appliance which made my lower back pain disappear. They are not just focused on teeth. Their goal is to treat one in entirety. I have been going to chestnut Hill Dental Associates for more than 10 years and have always had a great experience. Dr. Beigi is fantastic dentist! He's knowledgeable, gentle and genuinely cares about his patients. Growing up in Asia, I didn't have a luxury of braces, so you can imagine how my teeth looked. I was very anxious about it, and finally decided to do something about it. I researched online and found Dr. Beigi - an experienced cosmetic dentist. When I came to see him I immediately felt comfortable. He explained what he thought needed to be done in details. He gave me options to choose from. He worked on a plan with me - yes, I needed a plan because of the amount of work my mouth needed. In four stages Dr. Beigi completed my transformation and I got my beautiful smile! I am lucky I found Dr. Beigi and grateful to him for the great job he did. Outstanding! Professional dentistry and reasonable prices. My work, which included several crowns, some fillings, and a root canal, was primarily done by Dr. Nina, Dr. Beigi's associate. The work was first class. She crafted a superb crown, in-house, that fit perfectly with very little need for adjustment. Dr. Nina was awesome - they make a good team. Heidi the other assistant, who only assisted on me once, was great too. I can't remember the name of the visiting doctor who did the root canal but he was excellent as well. Heidi was the primary assistant in my treatment but the two other assistants (both male), and the dental hygienist (female), who worked on me were excellent too - but unfortunately, I can't remember their names. The office is ultra clean and modern. I saw nothing but state-of-the-art equipment. Even the injections were done with a high-tech instrument that is quick and painless. The staff at the front desk were super friendly, professional and efficient. Next year when I return to Boston I will definitely come back here for some needed cosmetic work on my front teeth and any additional dental work I may need at the time. read more

This last friday I had a dental emergency. My own dentist is in the suburb where I live. He had filled a tooth recently and had told me that I might need a root canal. Last Friday pain got bad later on the day. I work in Brookline and couldn't go to see my dentist in the suburb. I contacted my dentist and he said that I needed a root canal which I already knew. He said he didn't do the root canal since it was a back tooth. So one of coworkers who work in the area told me to go to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates. I called them and they said they didn't have an appointment until next week. I told them I was in pain and the receptionist told me to go in and they will see me. I went to the office. Very small office but I didn't care I just wanted my to go away. The assistant took an xray and the doctor, Beigy came in. He looked at my tooth and the xray and said the filling was done right but too close to the nerve. He started my rooth canal work and got me out of pain and I am supposed to go back to finish the work. My experience was a good one, I give them a 4 because of parking. I can't stop raving about Chestnut Hill Dental Associates! They are amazing. I cracked a tooth and feared the worst so I waited two weeks and then I was in pain. Called and they fit me in for a next day appointment! From my first visit for this tooth, they were warm and friendly and explained everything I needed to have done. Once he determined what needed to be done, they ran the pre-auth through my insurance and told me up front what my costs would be. The dentist (Dr. Beigi) even gave me his cell number in case I ran into problems over the weekend. For my procedure, they referred me to the dentist Dr. Nasseh was nice looking and extremely professional. Called me by my name several times throughout my root canal and gum work, reassuring me. Dr. Peyman Beigi has been my dentist for the last 4 years and I have been extremely satisfied with the work he has performed. I have had a variety of procedures done, wisdom tooth extraction, cavities, root canals, and numerous emergency procedures, and have never had any issues (Public Service Announcement here: Kids, brush and floss your teeth regularly and you won't be in my predicament). Dr. Beigi has great way of making the patient feel comfortable about the procedure that is about to be performed, what to expect during the procedure and after, and general excellent patient care. I have seen nothing but excellent care from Dr. Beigi and staff. The office staff have also been very friendly and accommodating. They helped re-arrange any appointment when necessary and at times waiving some of the fees associated with these changes. In these four years, Dr. Beigi has been nothing but an exceptional dentist. I used to have a great dentist in another city whom I had a great relationship with, and since I have moved to Boston I had visited a couple of dental office but could not reach my previous standard, so I had not been to the dentists for the last couple of years, not even cleaning. And that resulted in cavity (the price to pay for being picky), which I was not aware of before my visit to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates. I visited for dental clean and check up, and found out about the light cavity, so came back for the filling. Dr. A is very informational and helpful. He answered all the questions I had in mind (he guessed them even before I asked him), and was able to give me detailed solutions on the spot. The setup is very cosy and friendly, and front desk Carla is very nice to talk to. It's in a convenient location (right off of E line Reservoir stop). As a new resident to Boston I was really hesitant on choosing a dentist. Coming from Atlanta I had the most awesome dentist and knew it'd be hard to find one that I'd feel comfortable with. Well, I lucked out here with Chestnut hill dental association. First off, the location is walking distance from my place so that's cool for me personally. When I first arrived I was graciously greeted by a nice staff member who gave me a tour, introduced me to everyone. The entire staff was very polite and really put me at ease. Very cool. They have tv's all over and on the ceiling so you can relax while they are doing their work. The equipment and facilities are modern and state of the art. The doctor is very personable and is very enthusiastic about his work and you can see he sincerely cares about patients. Dr. Beigi and his staff are superb. I moved to Boston five years ago and have been using him the entire time. He is incredibly meticulous, gentle and patient. I recently changed my dentist to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates , I went twice during last month , once for Cleaning & once for a filing for my teeth . First time was an amazing experience the hygienist and the Doctor were very friendly with me and to be honest they did a great job cleaning my teeth ( last time i did cleaning was 1.5 year ago :) ) . Every time I go to Chestnut Hill Dental I am happy with my visit. I've gone for cleanings and for my wisdom teeth extractions, and Dr. Elnazer is calm and very efficient. He makes me feel assured and comfortable, especially because going to the dentist used to make me feel nervous. The staff are friendly and kind.
