There are a family of them but I can only speak on Willette. She is AMAZING. She makes you feel very calm and answers any and all questions. The staff has been there as long as we have been patients there (6 years). It is not a super modern looking decor but I don't mind it because of the quality of care. I would 100% recommend Dr. Shaeffer to anyone looking for a dentist!

With an all female office, you immediately notice a difference when you walk in and it smells like the appropriate season. They always have a little candle burning. This visit was pink pineapple sunrise and last time in the winter it smelled like flannel weather. That along with beautiful furniture, recently painted calm grey walls, and even designer mirrors, all add to the vibe that this isn't some outdated office. Things like gloves and protective napkins are hot pink instead of white. And there is a legit good playlist of country music and easy going songs to help you relax. You might even get to catch an episode of shark week while your teeth get cleaned. The staff is very patient and takes their time to make sure they have quality work. The schedulers also are super helpful at following up to make sure you remember your appointments too! As the receptionist reads me the date and time, I enter it into my phone and repeat it back for confirmation. Showed up yesterday to my appointment and they tried to tell me that it was not at the time I had in my phone and when I told them it was the date and time I read back to them 6 months ago, she insinuated I was a liar and said she would never make if for that time because it's 30 minutes before lunch (their cleanings typically only take 30 minutes). Needless to say, they would not take me and expected me to take time off work to drive back out there another day. I asked them to have the doctor call me before the end of the day. He did not. I can only assume my family's money is not needed there so I guess we'll be giving it to another dentist that doesn't call its long-time patients liars.

I had changed to this practice after my Dental insurance had changed. At first everything was…read morewonderful, my insurance covered most of my procedures. I went through two 6 month cycles and set an appointment for my next exam. When i went for my next exam, i received what i thought was an unreasonable amount of money that i owed. When i asked at the desk on the way out, i was informed that they still accepted my insurance but they were no longer in network. Feeling a little deceived i asked why i wasn't informed that they were no longer in network they proceeded to tell me that my wife and I were emailed about the change. I asked when the email was sent and when i checked i had received no such email on that date. Whenever they communicated with us before it was always by text message. So why claim to send an email that we might miss and actually never in fact was sent. My purpose here is not to denigrate their care but to advise people with insurance to make sure if they are in your network, they stay in your network when you go for care. The charge was more than double what my insurance would pay. I further think that they should post at the desk that they may no longer be in my insurance network. Them telling me that they will still accept my insurance is not a valid response to being out of network. Buyer beware of this underhanded ploy.
