I booked a newborn photo session with Kathleen after reading many positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience did not match those expectations. Kathleen is a kind person and was gentle with my baby, which I really appreciated. However, the quality of the photos was disappointing. The biggest issue was the poor framing -- in several photos, my husband's head or hands were cut off, while large portions of the images were just plain, empty background. The photos felt unbalanced and unprofessional. Even as someone without a photography background, it was clear the composition was off. When I reached out to express my concerns, Kathleen told me the edits would improve the photos. So I waited, hoping they would be fixed -- but unfortunately, the edited versions were still not satisfying. You simply can't fix poor framing or missing parts of a subject through editing. I had also requested a specific swaddle I had seen in her past work, but it wasn't available. I had to choose from just a few options that I didn't like. The session itself felt a bit rushed, which may have contributed to the lack of attention to detail in the photos. If professional-quality pictures and proper framing matter to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This is the second time I have booked Kathleen and again, she did not disappoint! As always, the studio is clean, she is very professional, and she has many different themes/colors to choose from. I booked a newborn session but also added my oldest daughter to take pictures with my newborn as well. She had a few ideas and themes/colors picked out before I arrived and when the session began, she showed me her ideas and asked for my opinion. If I did not like something, she did not hesitate to change it up and provide other ideas (I ended up loving her options and didn't change a thing!) Pictures of my newborn were taken first then we went to another part in the studio where pictures were taken with both of my daughters. This is the second session I have done with Kathleen and as always she does not disappoint! The first time I had a shoot with her was for my daughter's newborn photos and wow she made that moment So special . I will forever carry that memory close to my heart. One year later, I wanted to do a strawberry theme for my daughter's first birthday/cake smash photoshoot and she did an amazing job bringing my inspo to life. During the shoot, she was so patient with my little one and once again made it so special for us . As a birthday present, she added on a free bubble bath . Kathleen has done for photos for us in various occasions, the most important ones were when our triplet baby girls had just left the NICU. Being born at 32 weeks and leaving after just 4 weeks you can imagine how tiny and fragile they were, but Kathleen amazed us with the care and love she had for our babies. The studio was warm and cozy, she wore a mask, and most importantly she created the most beautiful memories for us.
