It's on the main drag so people will walk by. A fun place to be. Across the street is the sweet life restaurant, nice place to eat. We stayed in one of the carriage house rooms on the bottom floor, there are two bedrooms, which are very similar. One has a queen bed and the other has two double beds. Our friends stayed next-door. The room was good, I probably was expecting it to be a little bit more polished. The appointments were really nice, everything worked fine. But a few minor things like the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, one of the sinks wasn't working just right. Not sure exactly how to put a finger on it, but felt a little underwhelmed when entering the room. However, in saying that, I slept like a baby every night in the perfect bed and mattress. The room did the job in terms of comfort, and a nice shower, and Right next to the main house, I would recommend staying here. Definitely recommend it if you're looking to stay in Oak Bluffs, and want to be right in the middle of the action!

Unfortunately, most days we were there it was foggy, but beautiful nonetheless. We visited off season. She gave us ideas on things we can do, since we took our car on the ferry over to the island. The beach house was cozy and quiet. Every morning when we woke up, we smelled and were offered fresh baked cookies. I would absolutely come back here again.

The bathroom was tiny , though modernized, but could have been made a bit more functional if there was a second towel rack where guests could hang their bath towels away from their hand towels, allowing them to dry better. Another feature that would be helpful would be a few small shelves that guests could keep their toiletries on since the pedestal sink has no room for anything other than the hand soap. They serve breakfast every morning consisting of assorted bagels and English muffins. There is also coffee, juice and fresh fruit, along with hard boiled eggs, egg cups and muffins. Scrambled eggs /waffles are available upon request. The breakfast was very good and most guests enjoyed their meal on the large front porch in the rocking chairs or bistro tables. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The place has a very laid back vibe as does the whole town. We will be back!

My expectations were certainly exceeded. Colleen (I think she is the House Manager) was absolutely amazing. She makes you feel at home. She was there to welcome me and offer suggestions on restaurants and activities in the area as well as surrounding towns. The Owner of the Property ( who owns Narragansett House, Dunmere by the Sea, and the artistic boutique Jubilee MV on Circuit Ave) was very welcoming also. She was kind enough to open her private home so we could watch the Knicks win the Championship. Talk about community. The other staff was so sweet and helpful. They prepared a delicious breakfast for us daily. The porch was certainly the highlight for me where guests could gather and interact with one another. The view to the ocean and the location to Circuit is unbeatable. This is a historic 12 room home. If you are looking for modern, updated amenities, this isn't the place for you. If you want feel connected to the cottage life then this is for you. If you are looking for community but still able to have some solo time- this is for you. I highly recommend checking out the African American Heritage tour, the free bus rides around to other towns, and the taking advantage of riding the bikes. The property has beach towels and yoga mats also (Yoga and the Polar Plunge are activities you can inquire about also). I felt safe and cared for and I know this isn't my last time to Martha's Vineyard.

The staff was very, very nice and helpful at all times& the breakfast were very nice.
