This review is way overdue and unfortunately I cannot share the good news here. I had the permanent makeup done by Kathy a few years ago - eyebrows and eyeliner. After the initial session and healing the color was supposed to subside to about 30% per Kathy, but it literally stayed at 90! Can you imagine the dark brows that kept 90% of the color?? That was waaaay too dark and on top of that the shape was way off, does not even follow my own eyebrow line. I was supposed to come for a touch-up in a month but I had a severe PTSD and was afraid it will be even darker and will make it worse. Now years later - I am stuck with the misshapen eyebrows , and the color is turning blue, which I was told at the time of the procedure will not happen because of the new kind of pigments. I spoke with a few professionals hoping to fix that and all of them said that THIS WORK needs laser removal before anybody can do anything to correct that. That means - pain, money and a month without eyebrows. After that a new job. So I contacted Kathy to find out what kind of pigment she used so I can do the laser removal, and she requested my photos. After that the reply I got was : "I would not call the result awful. The shape is fine. That is the color they heal on Asian skin when they need a touch up. You should have the info needed now if you feel laser removal is your best bet." And just like that, asian skin is to blame. Aren't you supposed to be aware of different skin specifics beforehand? Where do I begin? Kathy is an amazingly skilled woman! She is very honest and knowledgeable with the services she offers. I first found out about Kathy from yelp, and scheduled a (complimentary consult) with her for a potential skin peel as I have some acne scarring. She has a relatively full schedule that runs on time, and she's in high demand. I didn't end up getting the skin peel from her because she told me it wouldn't be enough for the type of scar I had and that I should consider laser instead. I was very surprised by how honest and forthright she is in her practice, and I would highly recommend her simply because it's hard to find someone who has your best interest at heart! Kathy is great. My elderly mother who has medical problems, including uncontrollable shaking, pretty much has no eyebrows. Because of lack of brow hair and the shaking, penciling brows is difficult and doesn't look good. We found Kathy through Yelp and she is amazing. Great 'bedside manner' put my nervous mother at ease, took the time to explain the process, measurement for best shape, color, etc. End result - beautiful. They look natural. Though Kathy does far more than tatoo eyeliner, my glorious experience with her was only for eyeliner tatoo. I went in for a ten minute complimentary consult and was sold. I loved it. spoke to her about lip liner too but she discouraged me because the tatoo would not take well as my lips had a lot of pink in the them already. It took me forever to find Kathy after moving here from Seattle. There's so many medspas in the Bay Area and I just couldn't find one I could trust with injecting my face with medical botulism. She really knows her injectables. I used to be a Botox fan but she helped me try Dysport which is pretty much the same. She doesn't use too much product where you look overdone and fake.
