I had such a great time here at Katiebugs, I always want to go back. I met a friend here on a chilly fall morning to get cider and treats and to catch up. They have a nearby parking lot that is nice to use. I loved just getting to sit and chat with her in such a wonderfully decorated space. Put me in a great fall mood. The picnic tables were fun to sit at and take pictures. I loved the mini donuts I purchased, they were so good. The cider was piping hot which was perfect for the cold. I've wanted to visit Katiebug's for a good while. My husband and I finally decided to visit Saturday. We got there right about noon. There was already a line of 10 or so customers. Definitely arrive early to make sure you are able to get what you want! The pumpkin patch display was absolutely adorable. There were many different types and colors of pumpkins. It was fun to look at while waiting in the line to order. It only took about 15 minutes to make it through the line. We ordered vanilla and salted caramel marshmallows along with chocolate chip and Melissa's sweet and salty cookies. The cookies are very big and very soft! Our whole family loved them. The oyster crackers in the sweet and salty cookies were one of the best additions in a sweet I've had!The marshmallows are other worldly. They almost melted in my mouth. It was my first trip to Katie Bugs. I heard about it from the USA Today article proclaiming it #2 in the 10 Best Cookie Stores in the United States. I got a pumpkin whoopie pie, a homemade Twix cookie, a cookies and cream cookie, and a dessert bar that a bunch of us split up to sample a bite of everything. It's amazing!!! We loved everything we tried! No matter what you get, it will be delicious. Here's the part that bothered me: there's no posted menu anywhere. It tells you to go online, but that's a list of what they sell, not the flavors. There's one menu taped to the counter at the pickup window, so the line is long because you can't plan your order. The other thing is that they offer NOTHING for people with mobility issues. There are several stairs up to the only window to order from and a plastic "dividing chain" on the stairs for line organization that is a fall hazard because it's not attached to anything. There's no indoor seating, so the elements are in play. It was the last day of September, and in the mid 90s. So sweaty! Elements include flying insects, so besides the garbage cans, the pumpkin patch is also a big draw for bugs. The days and hours are highly restrictive. Choose wisely! read more

We stopped by this place because we had heard GREAT things about it and MAN. We were NOT dissapointed. That marshmellow hot chocolate was delicious especially with it being chilly and the marshmellow tastes amazing as youre sipping it melts into your tongue. My only regret is not getting another one. This place was empty and quiet when we went around 6:45pm and I was shocked because it was so good! It really doesn't look like much on the outside - just a little house converted into a dessert cafe - but on the inside, it has a lot of character. Reminds you of a shop from a movie or show. Didn't know what to expect and what to get because there were so many choices. We decided to split the Oreo pie dessert and the white chocolate sprinkle cookie. The Oreo dessert was like a cold uncooked version of cheesecake and it was sooo delicious but light at the same time. I really loved every bite! If you love Oreos, you gotta try this one. They have ice that's so finely shaven it tastes like the snow you ate as a kid before you were worried about eating pollutants. They make all their own flavorings with real ingredients (fruits, herbs, and the like with a bit of cane sugar) and they're DELICIOUS. Pick your favorite flavor, there's so many to chose from. Wondering what they have in store for fall and winter? Me too! So we found out they'll be serving up gourmet hot chocolate and chocolate fondue. It is a great date night place, for under $15 you can have dessert, and eat it in their crazy cute shop, or take it to go and spread a blanket out in Scissortail Park, for dessert under the stars.
