This review is long overdue. When I tell others about Dr. Katona, I call him my miracle worker. I've suffered from terrible shin splints all of my life. I mean just going for a 1-mile walk and my shins would be in terrible, sharp pain. I also couldn't wear (low) heels for more than 1 hour at a time. My friend started to see him so I went with her just to chat with him. He did a quick evaluation on me and recommended x-rays. Little did I know, my spine has had lots of subluxations. I started treatment, received spinal adjustments as well as on my feet. This may sound weird but the results were amazing. At first, I thought it was a placebo effect but lo and behold my shin splints haven't been back. I enjoy long, fast paced walks, hikes and even sprints on the treadmill and I feel great. I've recently danced my butt off at a wedding in heels for 8 hours, pain free! The dull low back pain I've had come and go often has been pretty much gone, too. Very rarely do I get it now and when I do, Dr. Katona will fix it. A couple of weeks ago, I did weighted squats at the gym and while it felt fine in the moment, I've had knee pain after. I happened to have an appointment scheduled the day after to see him, told him about, he did a quick adjustment and I'm pain free!! Dr. Katona is patient, caring and really knows his stuff. I'm so thankful that I have found him and that I've been feeling so much better. Gonstead Chiropractic is a very specialized technique, it's not like your average chiropractor. Just recently I received a major blow to my lower back and hip. I remember praying that God would bring me to someone special that could help because I knew that what was happening to me was not normal and I knew I was in trouble. The pain was so bad, I couldn't see straight. I still remember that Monday morning when I arrived at Dr. Katona's office. The pain was so fierce, I could not manage to get out of my friend's vehicle. She ran inside and asked if they had a wheelchair or something she could use to help me get out of the vehicle. Seconds later, I look up and see what I can only decipher as "angelic eyes".
