Dr. Von Kriengenberg was fair, nothing special about her, however her staff is AWFUL! It took approximately 10 phone calls for someone to answer the phone, I tried scheduling an appointment for over a week, even leaving multiple messages, but no one returns calls or the voicemail is full. Once I finally saw the doctor, she suggested a follow up visit in 1 month. I asked if I should schedule it then, but she said no, they'd reach out & schedule with me directly. I never heard from them... 2 1/2 months later I tried calling them to schedule an appointment & experienced the same issues as the 1st time I tried to schedule an appointment- I finally reached someone @ 4 months past my initial appointment. I spoke w/ the scheduling person & she said she couldn't schedule & that someone would call me back that day, to schedule an appointment. Surprise, Surprise they never called... I've tried following up a few times since then, but again nobody answers... I've given up, doctor wasn't that great anyway- By the way, my initial appointment was in Jan 2024, it is now June 2024 & still haven't heard from them, other than a bill I received in May. If you're smart, you'd find another physician! I wish my insurance still took my original doctor. read more

Front staff is extremely rude, especially so telephonically. I had two rounds of shots at this office for back pain and I had to be the one calling to ask about approvals from the insurance. It took months of back and forth. I would think they would be more attentive as people that go there are very often experiencing immense pain. Dr. Katrina Von Kriegenbergh is very attentive during the office visit. However, when the first shot didn't alleviate the pain she devised a plan b which included another set of shots and a proposed plan C if necessary. During the procedure nothing was explained, I was told to pick up my shirt and lay face down. No guidance as to what to expect from the procedure while the doctor and her assistant spoke to each other about irrelevant things. Perhaps it's due to them doing this repetitively however, it'd be less nerve racking if the procedure was briefly explained to the patient. After the shots I was told I'd get a follow up call within 2 days to see if they had worked, it's been over 6 months and I never received that call. I did however get a bill for over $200, for the shots they advised me wouldn't cost me anything out of pocket. Needless to say there will be no further follow up from me. I'll unfortunately have to look elsewhere. read more

Outstanding technical and communication skills as to my being as layperson and patient. I suffered an injury to my subscapularis muscle. i.e. rotatator cuff, and Dr. VK's diagnosis and protocol allowed me to quickly avoid continuing pain at a level of 8-9, and live with a pain at 2-3. Almost a miracle as I finally was able to return to 7 to 8 hours sleep without a painful wake-up due to my rotator cuff. read more

Just an update after being a faithful patient for 2+ years now. While there is still some issues with office staff returning calls and communicating with others. Its not bad and you can reach the Doctors on a emergency after hours line. Dr. VK is - without any doubt - the best Doctor for Pain Management out there. If you'll give her some genuine time, patience, and trust? She will bend over backwards and then some.. to help you. Follow her recommendations and just give her tour cooperation if you do.. You'll have a friend. Someone who gets just as upset at horrible Insurance companies. A person who will give you a hug. And someone who you can trust as a friend and talk to about anything. I can't give her more than 5 stars but if I could.. I would. She is the best and honestly cares, is so gentle and compassionate, and knows her stuff. I wish all Doctors could be like her. I started seeing her when I was in a lot of pain in my shoulder and neck. She is friendly, listens and cares about you. We tried every treatment until we found one that worked. She took the pain away, and no pain pills necessary! She's a God-send The only issue I have ever had is with office staff. You need to schedule something (not just an appointment) and the woman who is supposed to call you back doesn't. They say she's supposed to call on Monday, nope. You sit and wait for a week, nothing. You call back, no call back. Even if she is busy, don't tell me she doesn't have time to return a patient's call, even to tell you she's still working on your case. read more

Dr. vK is an awesome doctor. She understands pain, and chronic post surgical pain. She is always looking out for the best interest of her patients, and new innovative ways to reduce, relieve, or remove patients pain levels. IMO, she is one of the most hardest working doctors I know. I only wish she was my anesthesiologist when I had my back to back surgeries. She takes her time with her clients to find the best possible paths for her patients going forward. I always say, you want to have a good relationship with, your doctors, your pharmacist, and your lawyer (). The main thing you want to be when having to have a PM doctor, is to be open, honest, and transparent. If you do those things, you can have an amazing coach and team behind you, rooting for your recovery. I'm glad to have her as one of mine. As for the staff, they are there to always assist you, and are extremely pleasant, when all day long they deal with people who are in pain. And when people are in pain, there are a lot of factors that can make us cranky, moody, depressed, and/or anxious. Hi everyone, I have to share with you Dr. Katrina Van K. Is amazing. I have seen 3 pain management Dr.s before her. No one was able to help me. I suffer from Lupus, liver disease, fibromyalgia , nerve damage , herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and the list goes on and on. Dr. Vk is great!!! She listens and does her best to help, but the office staff is not so great. Perhaps they are overwhelmed, I'm not sure. It takes several weeks to hear back from them after many voice messages being left. Found out about Dr. Katrina Von Kriegenbergh from our daughter's friend, she is in one simple word "AMAZING"! I have had severe cervical spinal stenosis which has made my arm and three fingers numb and aching. After seeing my orthopedic physician because the pain was becoming constant even though I have been on a regiment of massage, chiro, and acupuncture treatments once a week, the treatments which use to last for at least five (5) days went down to a couple of hours. Dr. Von Kriegenbergh explained extensively about my condition and to my relief said that surgery wasn't needed. She had me schedule an epidural which she said would be performed in her office. In addition, she prescribed Gabapetin which I started to take at bedtime. The day came for the epidural and she again was informative and explained everything as the procedure was taking place. After about 24 hours, I was at 90% less pain. The front office staff (Monique) has been very accommodating as well as the back office staff. I have my quality of life back and can now sleep through the night (which was an impossibility before). If you have pain, before you think of invasive surgery, make an appointment with Dr. Katrina and I sincerely believe that she will also make you feel WELL & PAIN FREE again! read more

Dr. VK and staff were wonderful. I was so happy that my doctor referred me to Dr. VK. I have chronic neck and head pain. I am also allergic to most medications that can give me relief from the pain. Dr. VK discussed my treatment options. She thinks outside of the box and I really needed someone to do that. She suggested some new treatments and gave me a lot of trigger point injections. Dr. Von Kriegenberg is great if and when her staff will get authorization from insurance, which seems to not be high on their priority list. I have had to wait for several weeks while being in severe pain to have them call my insurance(who says I don't need prior auth. for injections) and right now I'm waiting and in 6 business days since my last visit they have not even put in a claim. The staff basically moves at a glacial pace. My Intern has even put in calls to see what the wait was and they still don't acknowledge the severity of my situation. I have seen Drs. become not so popular when they let their staff take over. This will be sad for Dr. VK because she has only been practicing a few years. I suffered from mid back pain that wrapped around to my sternum for 12 years. I saw several doctors who wrote me off because their tests were inconclusive and sent me home with a pain med prescription or antidepressant! Then I finally found Dr VK. She LISTENED, DIAGNOSED and TREATED my Costochondritis and facet joint arthritis. I am able to swim, surf and finally sleep comfortably. I feel like myself again thanks to her. I have had no issues with the Dr. She is wonderful. However her staff doesn't follow up or follow through on basics. You can't run a great establishment when all of your team members are failing you & your patients. I have left several voice mails & still to this date no response. I was suppose to get a procedure done & no follow up on what I couldn't do, they never filed my prescription, gave me incorrect information that lead to them not feeling comfortable to do the procedure. Well how about hire people that do their job. I can't afford to miss time from work because your team is to incompetent to do their job. I was literally waiting in the office for a response when another patient came in & her appointment had been rescheduled but no one called her to tell her. That is exactly the issue. I will now look for a new pain mgmt dr who cares about her patients enough to hire staff that can do their job. How much does anyone care when you can't even return a call. You realize your patients are in a great deal of pain, right? Worst experience ever. This is not the 1st time either, it has been like this from day one. Dr. Von Kriegenbergh is AMAZING. I shattered my ankle October, 2015, and was referred to Dr. V after undergoing 3 separate surgeries, 7 different "specialists", physical therapy, and a different pain management doctor (horrible experience). The best I was able to get from going to all of these people was "you should feel better" or "we've done all we can for you". Nobody could tell me why I was/am in so much pain or why my ankle is still black and blue a year and a half later. No one before her was able to see and understand what the problem is. During my very first appointment with her, she listened to me, but she looked at my ankle and I am FINALLY diagnosed. I finally have hope for healing and a real treatment plan, not just more of same "take these pills". Dr. V is kind, professional, understanding, and most importantly she LISTENS to her patients. If I could give this place no stars I would. First off, I used to come here for some unexplained neck pain. I saw Dr von Kriegenbergh who was a nice doctor and had great bed side manner. She spent time talking with me when I was scared and answered all of my questions both in person and via email however, she never got me better. Why? Because she didn't know what she was treating. Like I said I had unexplained neck pain so she just threw any and all treatment options at me to try to stop the pain but failed to get to the root of the problem. She is very symptom focused and wont dig deeper to find answers. My biggest complaint with this place is the office staff. Sandra, the person who schedules procedures, is the WORST. I was supposed to get botox injections but my insurance was pending and she FAILED to call me back on several occasions to let me know the status of my procedure. It wasn't until 6 weeks later that I received a letter from my insurance stating that I had been approved. Also, there have been several occasions where I have called to schedule treatments and have not received a call back from her. Beyond unprofessional. I wasted a lot of time at this place. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Oh I forgot to mention that my first treatment was a round of trigger point injections that left me in even worse pain than before. The doctor admitted that it was a "bad batch" whatever that means. I should have stopped at that point and gone somewhere else. read more

Love her!!! I have suffered from back problems for 20 years. I have done chiropractics, massage, acupuncture, physical therapy, trigger point injections, steroid injections and good old fashioned drugs. I'm still early on in my treatment. I completed nerve block injections in my low back a few weeks ago. Am I pain free yet? No. But I have felt a relief I haven't felt in months and it gives me hope! I have never felt such so at ease, so trusting of, and so confident in a doctor this quickly. Her bedside manner is the best! She's funny and friendly and super compassionate, but she's also smart, good at her job, and great at educating you about your situation. The front staff has been very helpful and kind. I have to say I've had trouble getting some calls back and questions answered before my big procedure by her team. It's frustrating, but I'm overlooking it because she is just that amazing! read more
