I called to make an appointment and was greeted by Dana. She was very helpful and encouraged us to come in and drop off my truck. Advised they would like at my tucks brakes free of charge. Didn't rush me of the phone and answered my questions. When I dropped off my vehicle I was greeted by Dana and instantly felt welcome and had me in out of the office. They called me within 30 minutes to advise of my issue, agreed upon the service work. They gave me a call when the vehicle was done less than 3 hours from the time I dropped it off. Upon pick up, I was treated with great customer service. They accidentally misquoted me originally and short changed themselves by not quoting my any labor charges when they contacted me earlier. They were aware of it afterwards When I came in to get my vehicle, they advised they didn't charge me labor and they weren't going to because that is not how how they do business. Dana advised they appreciated my business and it was their mistake and I didn't have to pay any labor. That is unbelievable and lets face it, now days nobody does that. I will go out of my way and pay more for good service. I felt welcome and appreciated from my first call to the time I pulled out of their parking lot. The owner Gil, seen me leaving and stopped me at my truck and just wanted to introduce himself and was curious how I located the facility. They have found new customers from this point forward. I revoke my review. While the people seem nice and gave me a little discount for paying cash. My car, less than 1 month later, has all the same symptoms. I already tried to bring it back immediately to say, something is still wrong, and was told I'd need to spend more money to now fix my a/c, which magically ( due to a small leak according to the mechanic) became scalding hot air. Less than 2 weeks later, I noticed the coolant resovoir empty again. I thought, maybe he didn't fill it all the way, (despite being charged for it), and bought my own to fill it up... Now, a week and a half later or so, the a/c went burning hott again and the coolant warning light went off. Guess what? No more coolant in the resovoir, so the car shuts the a/c off automatically. I know as a silly little ole girl I don't know nothin about fixin cars and all... But again, the same exact issues I brought it in with and $600 later... My car is doing the same things... Will I bring it back to find out? Why? So I can be talked to like a moron, only to have my car still be messed up? Nah. Just forget it. Save yourself the waste of time and money too. read more

I was referred to Katy Auto Care by a friend who had nothing but great things to say about them, so of course I checked them out. I had hit the side mirror of my truck and needed the entire mirror section replaced. When I arrived, they were very quick reviewing the damage, giving me a quote and options on the repair. After the part came in, I was very impressed with the high quality of service I was given, how quick they were to do the install and without me even knowing, they washed my truck for me! I was fortune enough to meet both Gil and his Dana, who were both very professional yet made you still feel like a friend not just a customer. My car's transmission seemed to be acting up, so I took it to a dealership to have them check it out. I figured a dealership would be more reliable than an independent shop. When they got back to me, they told me my clutch needed to be replaced and it would cost $1500! I told them I'd like to shop around. I emailed Katy Auto Care and Gil said he could replace it for $1000. I felt a lot better about that so I dropped it off there. Gil called me the next day and said he couldn't find anything wrong with my transmission and he recommended I drive it for a while longer to see if it continued. He could have easily gone ahead with the repairs and been $1000 richer, but instead he was upfront and honest about it. I plan on taking my car here for repairs in the future! read more

AVOID at all cost. We took our car here for shocks to be replaced. They tried to talk us into having a timing belt fixed and then called hours later telling us we had a blown head gasket. Well WE DO NOT have a blown head gasket, but suddenly we have a cracked radiator that WAS NOT cracked when we brought the car to them. These people will obviously break things on your car to force you into paying them to fix it. They are rude and liars. Dana said she was standing right there when my husband was talking to Gil, which she was NOT. Gil told my husband we needed to have the timing belt fix...but our car doesn't even HAVE a timing belt it has a CHAIN. Dana was very rude. They are bait and switch scammers! We took our car here for shocks to be fixed and ended up leaving with a broken radiator that was not cracked when we brought it in! Dana tried to lie to me saying she was standing in the room when my husband and Gil discussed the car problems and she WAS NOT in the room. They tried to tell us we had cracked head gaskets, which was also a blatant lie! These people are experienced at breaking your car so they can charge you more money! This place is so amazing! In March we wanted to get our A/C fixed in our 2002 Tahoe before the summer because we all know how hot it gets down here in Texas! I Spoke with Dana on the phone and she was great! Didn't need an appointment but she took my info anyway. Got there promptly at 8 am and they were ready for us! I had my daughter with me and since it was going to take a little while, the son drove us back home, who does that?! no one! It didn't even take as long as they thought and they did an amazing job! It blows so cold! The price was right and the service was super professional and efficient! I highly recommend this shop to anyone with car issues! I have been going to Katy Auto Care for 3 years now. They have the best customer service. Management is top notch. I had an old Lexus that was giving me trouble and would have cost a fortune to repair, the owner recommended that it was not worth it to repair and that I should buy a new car. I got multiple opinions from different body shops and none told me to get rid of it. I appreciated the honesty and I'm glad I followed their advice, it was really never ending with the repairs. My son's car "check engine" light frequently came on in his new car and we brought it to Katy Auto Care figuring there was something big to fix. The mechanic there did a diagnostic on it and told us he did not see any problem with car except that gas cap was loose and that he tightened it. He did not charge us and it turns out it was just that. The gas cap was loose and we have not had any problems since. They are the "BEST"! They were so nice and did not even charge us for the visit. Today, I went to Katy Auto Care because the car door would not open when the key fob was pressed. Dana said, "Maybe it's the battery". In a second, she had the fob and gave it to one of the mechanics who quickly changed the fob battery. Dana accompanied me to my car to be sure the fob worked, and it did! Problem solved.
