Very poor work and customer service. It was a very different experience than my first time. The first time, the car looked better than new, and I was very happy. The second time, so many corners were cut, and they refused to acknowledge or handle them. It took me giving them a bad survey with Tesla to actually do anything. Even then, it was just touch up paint from a can, that he very reluctantly and angrily put on, while he all but cursed me out. He blamed the marks on the PPF company, and said "that's what I get for applying PPF, as they have to cut it with an exact-o knife. Fast forward to when I had the PPF removed. They told me it pulled paint, as there was no prep work done. Not even any evidence of primer. I would no longer recommend Katy Coach Works to anyone for any reason. read more

I have a less than 1" scratch on my passenger door that I took in for them to quote. The quote was not acceptable. I have a attached a copy of both the quote, and the scratch for your own review. I am not paying for the repair and it is to be paid by another party, but still, I questioned the numbers as they didn't just appear to be a little high, they were beyond ridiculous and even though I am not paying, I don't want to see someone get ripped off. I questioned the numbers, however Gilbert, the employee, was unable to explain them to me and began to stutter uncomfortably when I pressed for a response. When I questioned why and how it would take 9 hours to repair the less than 1" scratch, the response was that the 9 hours was a culmination of dismantling the door, removing all mechanisms, removing the handle etc etc. Secondly, the paint labor was going to take as additional 8 hours. Really? No explanation was offered here. A further 4 hours was added for mechanical labor. Hmm, wasn't this then justification for Paint labor already given Mr Gilbert? Again, a blank shrug. Furthermore, an additional 8 hours of paint supply labor was added. The prose was that "this is to mirror the paint labor". The quote made no sense and quite frankly was insulting. As a result, I've taken the quote to Aston Martin and urged them to review their approved vendor list using this as evidence. I've attached the quote and also a pic of the scratch for your own review. As a quite update; Aston Martin's in-house touch up guy is looking at it and expects it to cost no more than $500-700 USD. read more

They did a great job on my car. They were mostly knowledgeable of my Volvo. They did however neglect to replace an internal antenna that controls the keyless lock and unlock feature. They had me take the car directly to my Volvo dealer of choice to have it added. Overall, they did a very good job. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Body repair initially had over 1cm gaps, a fender unclipped, under-fender splash guards detached. After sending the repair back, it came out with mismatched paint and horrible body gaps between fenders and bumper. Avoid this place if you need a quality Tesla repair. This place is amazing! Cody could not have been nicer and was extremely helpful. I stopped by to get a quote for some minor damage to my front bumper. Cody came out and looked at it and then was able to fix it and clean it up without me even leaving the shop. When I asked what I owed he told me it was free of charge. If I could give it Zero stars I would. They are terrible at not contacting you. If you don't contact them, they don't work on your car. They will just let it sit there. Then the guys in charge have zero clue how things work. So they promised me the car one week that it's the next week but 7 weeks later it is finally completed. They also didn't fix everything so much that my car is at the dealership getting things fixed that they forgot to hook up. So I'll be sending them the bill for that. They appear to be friendly but in my case they are dishon est and greedy. When I questioned their outrageous charges, they kept my car demanding cash, no credit card, saying that I would cancel the payment. They fraudulently and unnecessarily removed bumper to increase labor hours so they can get more $$$. The insurance company paid $3200 for minor scratch repair that other shops would charge $300 to $400. So you know why insurance rates are so high. read more

Traveling from California to Florida in my new Tesla Model S, I mistakenly ran over a truck recap tire on instate 10 ( outside of Houston ) that caused a bit of damage. I had my Tesla Model S taken to Katy Coach Works by default. My insurance company Geico would not pay the Tesla Shop, their price so they sent me to Katy Coach Works. Katy Coach Works assured me that they were TESLA approved. They had my car for 30 days, to make a Long story short, while driving back to Florida one of the parts that they installed, fell off. It was determined that the screws were not installed. Tesla in Ft. Myers Florida suggested, go to Gerber Collision in Estero Fl. These folks found another problem with the job. Now I'm waiting for a new part to come in to replace the defective part that Katy Coach Works installed. After waiting 30 days to get your car back and paying over $12,000, I expected more. The person that I worked with at Katy Coach Works name was David. I had him on speed dial, he was very responsive to each of my inquiries . When I explained this problem to David, he said , "let me talk to my guys" I have not heard from him since. It is now 4 months since the incident and my car is still not repaired. Happy to say Geico stepped up and accepted responsibility to finish the repair at no cost to me. read more

I take my car to Katy Coach works frequently as they have amazing customer service and do an amazing job with fixing your car. Grady Thomas handled everything with my insurance and with the insurance of the lady who hit me. There were some hiccups or miscommunication between the two insurance companies and he sorted it all out for me and made sure everything was paid for as promised. Did an above and beyond job! He also made sure my latest maintenance was done too. I've gone to them two other times and had the same experience. If anything happens to my car I make sure to take it to them. read more

My car was keyed years ago and they did a great job with the paint work. I had a somewhat minor collision 2 months ago. I understand the supply shortage but these guys have too much work for the demand. Ultimately I got my car back but had check engine light on after 10 miles. Suggested transmission issue. Dealership suggested wrong fluids per radiator were used. Suggested complete flush of transmission fluids as well. The car is not working well. Poor communication with this place. I honestly think they sabotaged my car per my contined follow up per - is it ready yet? 2 months is a long time. read more

I took my car there because it was on the list of select providers by my insurance. They fixed the damages well, but returned my car with a missing part and cracked windshield. I'm assuming they never did a final check, or else they would have caught that. Needless to say, they tried to tell me the windshield was cracked when I brought it to them. Luckily I took photos and it had the time stamp on them. Yes they fixed it, but they had the nerves to say it wasn't their fault BEFORE I showed them the photos. My advice, don't take your car there unless it's a "luxury" vehicle (mines was not), because it won't receive the same quality work. read more
