My insurance took a while to send the supplement over to JJ, but once JJ Auto Body received it, they got started right away, which I really appreciate. I just wanted to keep you all informed on what's going on. JJ Auto Body has continued to impress me throughout this entire process. I've never dealt with a body shop before, so this is my first experience, and I have to say...the consistent communication and updates have been phenomenal. I'm going to post my journey here so you all can follow my progress with JJ Body Shop. This is my first time ever taking my car to a body shop, and after seeing the amazing reviews, I decided to trust them with my repair. For transparency, here's the timeline so far: - April 1: Dropped my car off at the shop - Received a text that my car was in the disassembly stage, and they would let me know if any hidden damage was found - April 9: Received a message that hidden damage was found and that I could reach out for more details - Rich updated me on the damages and let me know he would be sending the supplemental estimate to my insurance So far, my experience has been very good. The shop has been professional, communicative, and easy to work with. I'm hoping they hear back from my insurance soon and that the process doesn't take too long. Jimmy and his team did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job on my car. I was hit and was told this was the best place to get bodywork done by reddit, and boy did his team not disappoint at all. You literally can't even tell my car got hit. I have a relatively tough car to blend (metallicy red/orange) and when I saw it It immediately put a huge smile on my face. Myra was super helpful keeping me posted - dropped my car off on a monday and picked it up friday afternoon exactly as initially estimated. They were also the cheapest out of all the Houston estimators within the loop as well. Definitely taking my more exotic cars back for any bodywork. Got into an accident earlier this year. Chose JJ's for repairs based on their reviews. Best service I could've asked for. I came here in October after the parking garage gate in my apartment complex hit my car. I had heard about JJ Auto Body from Reddit and saw that it was always recommended for body work and I was in no mood to go to the dealership for my car and get ripped off. Their website allows you to schedule your estimate and drop off date and time and I very much appreciated that convenience. The estimate process was thorough and fair. I had done my research beforehand about how much these car panels would cost and their estimate lined up with it. They were also honest about there possibly being additional damage underneath the panels and that it might affect the cost. I proceeded with the body work and they were very good at giving me updates. When my car was finished I was so happy with the job! It looks great and cohesive! Took my 1972 MGBGT for an estimate to have it painted. They were very good and thorough with the walk around and taking notes for the estimate. There was even a nice follow up email regarding our meeting. The problem, despite my several attempts to receive an estimate, it never came. This was the response which sounds good on paper but no one ever followed up. I didn't get a good feeling about this so I cave up. "My apologies that we have not sent you an estimate yet. I know Karen is working on it, however there is some things she wants to clear with Jimmy so we can send you an estimate that can be more accurate versus an estimate that can change once the vehicle is here. Jimmy was out of town and this last week was a bit chaotic with having to close for one day due to weather. I will personally make sure we have your estimate for you this week." A new 2019 Tundra and I hit the side of the garage. Jimmy, the owner, ordered a new siding to replace the dented one. The total cost was going to be $3,300. His dent repair employee took a look at the truck and asked Jimmy for a chance to salvage the current panel. The photos will tell you if it worked. Hard to put into words. It looks like a new panel. I drove up the morning it was ready, detailed and glossy like the day it came from the dealer. Here's the kicker. I never would have known that wasn't a new panel. He could have charged me that full amount and I would have nodded my head. Instead Jimmy charged me half the estimate and returned the new panel. No BS. Just honesty. How often can you say that about a business? Icing on the cake: their communication is proactive and caring. Complete package of customer loyalty and service. This is a big deal, as I am a young woman in my 20's and they could have easily taken advantage of that, but they didn't. Before I initially dropped my car off to be fixed, I actually had a minor incident that they took care of on the spot, once again great service! I was sent here through my insurance. This place took a video of my whole car before the service which was fine but when I picked up there was a bump on the top of my car and crack on my windshield right by the bump and my front license plate and as missing (even though all I received was some work on a bump on my back bumper) when I mentioned this to them they said are you sure you came in with a front license and then had to go search the tape and then look for my license even though there's no reason for it to be taken off. When I asked about the bump and cracked windshield they said it was there prior but would not show me the tape to prove it. I always wait to do a Yelp review until I have had at least two experiences. Unlucky for me, I have bad luck with cars. However, I was lucky to find JJ Auto Body. I have had my 2003 BMW M5 worked on twice. Both times I was very happy with the service, quality and price. I will upload a few pictures of the corner of the car that was painted. This is 2 years later and the paint is still perfect. If you care about your car and not getting jerked around by shady body shops: you should check out JJ Auto Body. Also, remember that you can get your car fixed at any shop if your choice. Poor Workmanship and Dishonest!! This body shop replaced a bumper for me. The car had been hit while parked on my residential street. Both the front bumper and headlight were damaged. I opted to have only the bumper repaired. The work initially looked alright. Over time, the bumper has begun to separate from the body of the car. I called them to alert them to the issue was told to bring the car in. After looking over the car, they said they could see some superficial scrapes on the underside of the bumper and that this was evidence that I had caused the bumper to separate. When I pointed out that this is normal wear and tear, and that for any kind of vehicle which is even marginally low to the ground, these kind of superficial scrapes (when exiting, e.g., a steep driveway) can't be avoided, they then pointed out the damage to the headlight as evidence that I caused the bumper separation. When I pointed out that this was from the initial accident, and that I had opted not to have it fixed, they returned to their original argument about the superficial scrapes. All this is in spite of the fact that I have a written warranty stating, "We will warranty the workmanship and paint to be free from defect for minus normal wear and tear or user error for as long as you own the vehicle....If a problem should arise, we will rectify immediately." read more

It's like having a family member look after your car. Seriously. ... Chose JJ because of prior yelp reviews. Called them about my car that had some driver side damage from bumper to bumper. Booked an inspection appointment quickly after the same day. First thing I noticed when I walked in are all the signs of prior reviewers saying how they are an auto shop of integrity. That really told me two things: 1) they earned the trust of numerous customers & 2) they take a lot of pride in being a shop that works with integrity. I've never walked into any other auto shop like that so thumbs way up for that They gave me a quote and some opinions on my car and were happy to work with my insurance company. Between office chat and outdoor car inspection, I had the chance to chat with one of the workers there who was formerly a cancer computation biologist. Impressive background!! Finished up the inspection and was able to book a day to bring it in before leaving the shop. I really appreciate their clear and efficient communication. ... Because of my busy work schedule, I couldn't bring it in during normal work hours. I want to highlight that Jimmy actually met me outside of his shop's normal hours so I could drop off the car. So literally, I call him while he's having lunch with his family. He comes to the shop and brings my car in. And then drives me to a car rental dealership with his wife and kid. HE DROVE ME IN HIS OWN CAR WITH HIS FAMILY SO I COULD PROMPTLY PICKUP A RENTAL CAR. Wow, that's service. .... The autoshop finished repairs in the exact time they estimated it would take. I picked up the car and it looked amazing. My car looked like it was still brand new. Really happy with the result. I also want to mention that usually when an autoshop submits repair estimates to insurance companies, the insurance companies usually decline some services that are deemed unnecessary. Not with JJ autobody. My insurance company said that their repair estimates were very reasonable which surprised my agent. .... Overall, truly exceptional customer service and phenomenal car service. Considering the stereotype that autoshops are trying to cheat/lie to their customers, the fact taht JJ autoshop isn't about that feels like a breathe of fresh air. 10/10 stars! Hello Everyone, I reached out to JJ autobody based on incredible reviews on Facebook, Yelp, Reddit and Google on 7/15/2021 to get an estimate on my SUV which was rear ended by someone. I got a fair quote of $5k from the to repair. I have attached the quote and pic of my suv as it was after rear ended. When I dropped the car and even over the phone they did let me know that they can might find more stuff to fix when they disassemble it and they mentioned that it might take 30 days to repair. After a week when I estimator from insurance went to see the car they decided to total the car. I asked jimmy how much was the repair cost that they decide to total the car. He said it is around $15k. Of course it's a lot so I decided to pick the car up as it is too much to fix the car. They said I have to pay for labor fees, storage fees and admin fees. I agree for labor fees to disassemble the car but for storage and admin fees, atleast they could have disclosed it on the estimate. I have attached both the final invoice and receipt for you all to see. Also I have attached the pic of the car as I picked up from JJ autobody. I cannot comment on the quality of work as I didn't get the car fixed but I can comment on their business practice of giving you a shock and not being upfront on the fees. As you can see, I paid $964 for them to take a look at the car and tell me that it is going to cost me $15k to fix it after giving me an initial estimate of $5k. I don't want to discourage you to go there but please make sure that you ask for storage and admin fees and make sure all the fees and charges are disclosed before you leave your vehicle there, otherwise they will hold your vehicle until you pay. Easily the best place to go to! My car began overheating and I couldn't see what the issue was. This place happened to be nearby and we barely made it there. Right when we got there, Jonathan helped us out. This guy was able to diagnose the issue while explaining everything to me; what signs he's looking for and why. This guy was able to diagnose the problem and solve it, all the while explaining every detail to me about what he was doing and why so I could diagnose it myself and prevent the problem in the future. Even after spending that much time on my car, he didn't want a single dime! Even just looking at the place on the inside and hearing their employees on the phone, you can tell that they're extremely professional and courteous in they're endeavors. JJs helped me after my car got broken into right before leaving for vacation. I liked how they came to me to change my window, were fast to do so, and the price was under $200 which was my goal. I was disappointed in their timing though. They told me they would be there one day at 4 PM and right around 4 I got a message saying they couldn't make it anymore and they could come in the morning. When they came the next morning they were an hour late and I had to call them to see what the holdup was. As convenient as it was that they came to me to change my window, it was more inconvenient to change meetings and my schedule around when they kept telling me times and not showing up at those times. I have had such a horrible week in between my father dying, dealing with pregnancy, and on top of it all I had a hit and run. I drove to the establishment crying unsure of the expenses and how I was going to afford repairs. They immediately helped me with a very realistic estimate and allowed me to preorder parts for less of a wait time. I had a great experience with Jimmy & Jonathan at their shop. I brought in a couple of chrome decals from my Tacoma that I wanted painted black. I wanted to avoid Plasti-dipping them due to it's very flaky and can come off easily. They explained the process very professionally and what it would cost. I left the decals with them and they were ready then next day. They were also very helpful in explaining how to reattach the emblems myself to avoid any pricey unnecessary cost. Very quick repairs. And it was flawless! I've had damage to my car before and repaired by another shop. I hated the outcome. I could tell that it was once damaged. But not this time. And my car was returned to me in pristine condition. They washed the car and the dirty rims. He even replaced my license plate for me, which I tried for weeks to get off but couldn't. I had purchased a 2018 tundra last year and on my way home from the dealership I was struck by a driver who failed to stop at the red light when making a right turn, damaging the left side passenger door with dents and scratches all the way to the left quarter panel. Both my wife and I were very much sad but were glad to be okay. I had always brought my damaged vehicles to Service King and was always dissatisfied with their work completion turn around time. Also, I didn't know this but Service King would keep your old parts and salvage them to make money on there end. Once I found out about this, I told my insurance company about it and was told, I could to go ahead and take the damaged items with me if I wanted to. It's your parts, you already paid for them so why not keep them, have them as spare parts or sell them and make your own profit? I remember receiving a portion of the damage items and was told the other items were already taken. Of course I was upset but was very much surprised how fast Service King managed to get rid of it. Prior to getting my truck repaired I spoke with JJ and requested ahead of time if I could keep my old right side rear view mirror and my right side step bar. JJ informed me that it wouldn't be a problem. After the truck was repaired I received a call from JJ and just couldn't believe how fast they were able to complete their work (approximately two weeks). When I arrived to pick my truck, not only was I very satisfied with their work but was also blown away to find out that they had kept the side badge emblems to the truck (old emblems that were replaced but were in good condition) aside from the side step and the side mirror which were requested. JJ's and his team did an excellent job and I am completely satisfied and am happy. I highly recommend this place for their work ethics, integrity, and customer service. read more

Awesome place with excellent customer service and car repair - highly recommend!!! My car bumper was hit by another car in a parking lot, so I found JJ on Yelp for the repair. The staff were very friendly and patient, explaining the whole process and expectations for me in the beginning. I can feel they truly cared about my car's problems and tried to find the best solutions for me. Today, I picked up my car. The new bumper (and the whole car) is shiny! I got my car rear ended in a hit and run and it was a long ordeal before I was able to get the police report and bring my car to the shop. JJ Auto Body was amazing every step of the way and made the whole process a breeze. They offered to come tow the truck to their shop, they gave a quick online estimate with pictures I sent in, and they worked with my insurance rep without my having to be a part of it at all. The owner updated me two days before I picked it up that he didn't like how his technician applied the pinstripe on my car so he made the tech redo it. AND THEY STILL GOT IT DONE BEFORE THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED DATE. I love their attention to detail and their customer service always keeping me updated a few times a week.
