I've only just begun my stay here and I'm already in love with the place. Today was my first day, which was spent doing laundry....ugh! The laundry room is nice with professional size machines. And they even have ones dedicated for pet laundry so you don't have to worry about getting fur on your clothing. The machines do not take money, you pay either by card at the kiosk or by downloading the app, which is actually awesome as it lets you follow the time left....pure genius in my book! I did meet a few people while in there and every one of them were extremely friendly and had been there for a long time. They had nothing but good things to say about it so that in itself makes me feel like I made the right choice. It is an Adult centered resort so there are no children running around all hours, not that I have anything against them, but when I'm glamping I want to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. That's all I have for now, but will update after I've had a chance to actually do something other than laundry. read more

They were so nice. The resort is very clean and in a great location. Only complaint is the laundry facilities. I know it's an outside company but the resort needs to get new machines. The washers really suck. Dryers were ok. But replace washers!!! But I highly recommend this location. read more

Nice RV resort, located close to a lot of restaurants and other necessities. Beautiful amenities (Activity center with pool table, big screen TVs), spacious bathrooms with showers, pool and jacuzzi, laundry facility, dog park, on site propane and even a stocked lake for catch and release fishing! The entrance is gated and the park is nice and secure. Cable is included at your RV site. The office staff is always super friendly and helpful. read more

I would have to agree that the office staff is rude and doesn't communicate properly. You cannot stay for just one month at one month rate. They prorate and automatically charge you for the second month. They call this a no anniversary date policy. So if I check in on the 15th of the month I pay for one month and I'm good until the 15th of the next month. However on the first of the month they will charge me the prorated amount for the last month and I may have only been there two weeks. So basically they are saying you have to stay for two months because that is what they are charging you for. So don't expect to be able to just pay for one month at a time unless you show up on the 1st day of the month and pay without being subjected to their pro ration policy. No where do they explain this in writing pre booking. It's not how other parks operate. Oh yeah and they just significantly raised all their rates. read more

I called after hours last night and they were able to squeeze us in and on the honor system! I filled out registration card and put $ in envelope, sealed it and put in drop box. They sent a map of park with our site circled. Awesome! They have a 1/2 mile paved sidewalk around the lake with trash cans and doggy poop bags at each corner. Very nice showers with HOT water and lots of pressure. read more

it's a decent little campground that's quiet, clean, and safe. There isn't a lot for kids to do but I kept my two entertained enough to give my wife a break. The pool is small and unheated and nothing but crappie it seemed in the pond( still fun). Also the "free" Wi-Fi advertised is damn close to false advertising because I tested the download speed at . 6 mbs. luckily my Verizon pegged me at 314 and I have a hotspot. Hello, I know that this will be brushed off like it was nothing. But I do have to be brutally honest here. The resort was gorgeous! Extremely keep up to speed and clean! We loved it and we were ready to call this home for the next couple of months . But the ugly reality of it was the leasing office does not know how to properly communicate. My wife and I have both been in contact with this property numerous of time over the last 2 weeks in regard to gathering information for us to finally get the process started and what we needed to stay at this RV site. We spoke to all three ladies in the front office Ms. Leslie who is the property manager , Ms. Daisy who was extremely rude and sounded like she hated her job and Ms. Evelyn who was the only nice one who gave us the most accurate information about the property. Once again when we had talked to the property two weeks prior us wanting to move there and we asked them. What did they need from us in regards to qualification did they need copies of title, copies of ID's, pictures of the RV, payment, etc. And all they said was we need to have the first payment in hand upfront. Now one week before we move in we called again and they gave attitude. We asked the same questions just to clarify Daisy said the same thing. Now here we are the day we want to move in and all of a sudden they need pictures of the RV because it's apparently since it's older than 10 years old, they need pictures to verify that the RV is up-to-date with maintenance and it's appearance which again we completely understand about that. But now they're saying that it could take up to 24 to 48 hours to get approved if we get approved. I sent in the pictures and the pictures got approved right away so they needed pictures of our IDs and payment upfront which we provided and all of a sudden we got declined for a background. Such a waste of time and money! So not only did I have to pay twice to get my RV moved, but then I had to pay an additional fee to store it because they don't know how to communicate correctly. Once again, I wanna make it very clear the park itself look beautiful. I would recommend anyone going there based off of books now based off of restrictions and property rules I would not recommend it to anybody unless you live by yourself with one dog and you have one vehicle. They told us there was no parking for additional cars or visitors and that we could not use our permanent address address there as far as packages, etc.. luckily I got a refund but it still unacceptable that they allow this situation to happen to prolong for two weeks when I all this could've been avoided. read more

I've been here since June 2021 and I love it here. It's clean, well maintained, and people friendly. The property managers are great people and very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about everything in here. The managers keep the residents notified of any issues that may come up like sewage lines that needed to be repaired. And this was only once since I've been here and it was repaired pretty quickly. There's all types of RVer's here from weekend campers to plant workers that are temporarily here, to the full-time RVers that live here. And yes of course the snowbirds are coming in for the winter. Some of the RVers are travel bugs that just stop here for a few days and then move onto the next stop that's where I plan on being five years from now just traveling everywhere. This is my starting point and I'm so glad I started here. I love to listen to the fountain in the middle of the pond at night. It's so peaceful here. If you're looking for a great place to stop for whatever length of time, I definitely suggest Katy Lake RV Resort. I give five stars here. I'm going to go ahead and give it five stars because for what it was, it served our purposes perfectly. Let's start with what it is NOT. It is not camping in the woods. As long as you understand that (which I didn't *quite* grasp, since we'd never taken our pop up to camp in a town before). It is also not the luxuriously large camping spaces you get at some of the state park areas. It's a spot to park and a small strip of grass next to concrete. However, everything else about it was phenomenal. Since our goal was simply to use the camper instead of a hotel room for a weekend in Katy to race a triathlon, it was comfortable, cheap, and the amenities were wonderful! The pool was really nice. I wasn't sure how much I'd want to use a pool at the end of March, but it was heated and had a hot tub, so we spent some time there. The lake was a really nice backdrop, we spent some of the afternoon just sitting at the tables looking out at it. There was a grill area with a wet bar. There was a family that decided to take it over and they kept giving us food and making us blended drinks. Bonus! Inside, there was free coffee, a lounge with a TV, and a pool table. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean and well maintained. If we do this race again next year, we'll definitely be back here! read more

We've been here three times because the location is convenient but every single time the power has gone out. Tonight was the last straw as we have no power at our site and we were set up with a kids night out and sushi dinner. We also had a covered spot , which obviously we need in Texas summer. All ruined. The ladies at the front said "this only happens at peak hours" as if that's acceptable. We are DONE with Katy Lakes. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you don't need electricity. read more

We stopped here on our way thru town on a big road trip all the way from San Diego. The campground was very nice and very clean with lots of great amenities. The pool was amazing we enjoyed swimming with our kids and my husband and son had a great time fishing at the lake. Kathy at the front office was extremely friendly and helpful and even let us tour the cabins they rent out. We wish we lived closer so we could camp here more often. Great place!!! Next time we visit Katy Texas we will absolutely stay here! read more

This was not only our first time staying here but our shake down/maiden voyage of our new travel trailer. The sites are easy to maneuver through and around. They layouts are great for someone that may not be a seasoned pro at backing up or even setting up your rig. The activity center, restrooms, showers, and pool area are the cleanest I have ever seen. I rank their cleanliness with that of Bucees. Very quiet at night and the staff is super friendly. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Kind of pricy - with a Good Sam's discount $44/night. We were there for 4 nights. BUT it was definitely worth it! Most of the pads had a view of a lovely STOCKED large pond - all were pads were cemented and all drives were cemented. There was a strip of grass between sites. There were several nice looking cabins around the pond. There was a walking sidewalk around the pond. The pool & Jacuzzi were lovely. Cathy in the office was a delight to work with. There were several maintenance crew working hard everyday. This resort was quietly tucked into the middle of Katy. Lots of great restaurants near by! We will be back! read more

This property is beautiful and has lots of great amenities! Only issue is it is not very kid friendly. More of a retirement/adult community and kids are frowned upon in my opinion. Women who works there continued to complain to us and our kids were very well behaved. Great place for adults! read more

This RV resort has to be the best RV resort in the whole world Cathy and Steve in the office should teach a course on customer service!! They already have 10s all the way across the board but those 10s don't do the resort any justice. Great clean property! Beautiful pool beautiful activity center beautiful office and beautiful people!!! Employees on site are very catering this is really a resort style property. The lake has catch and release fishing. Club house has pool table, exercise equipment, free coffee, vending machines, free ice machine, computer lab, nice comfy couch with huge tv. Grills by the pool with hot tub great relaxing area and a run free dog park. Walking trail to keep you mobile and in shape. Refill propane onsite in which they come pick up for you and drop back off. This has to be the most accommodating place ever. With all of the hate going on in the world this place accepts all races, shapes, and sizes will keep us all feeling welcome! Look no further this is truly the place to relax in Katy! I've renewed an extra week and will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you all very much here at Katy Lake Resort!!! read more
