I called after hours last night and they were able to squeeze us in and on the honor system! I filled out registration card and put $ in envelope, sealed it and put in drop box. They sent a map of park with our site circled. Awesome! They have a 1/2 mile paved sidewalk around the lake with trash cans and doggy poop bags at each corner. Very nice showers with HOT water and lots of pressure.

We stopped here on our way thru town on a big road trip all the way from San Diego. The campground was very nice and very clean with lots of great amenities. The pool was amazing we enjoyed swimming with our kids and my husband and son had a great time fishing at the lake. Kathy at the front office was extremely friendly and helpful and even let us tour the cabins they rent out. We wish we lived closer so we could camp here more often. Great place!!! Next time we visit Katy Texas we will absolutely stay here!

This has been one of my favorite RV resorts!!! Very peaceful at night. Pet-Friendly. The office staff is always very helpful. I would really recommend this place if you're staying in the area.

Witnessed multiple occasions where she demoralized employees in front of customers. She picks and chooses favorite guest to give cheaper rates to. This could be a good RV campground without her running it. Also when hooked to sewer you have to keep your tanks closed or their sewer will back flow into your camper. You also have to endure their shitty lawn crew that never comes until your grass is so high it looks like a shit show, you will have to do it yourself. In addition to if you ask for a corporate number they will not give it too you. KOA franchise all complaints go back to Alley and her God like complex. Oh if your kids play at the pool be prepared for Marshall Alley law they will call cops on them for having too much fun. (Like making tacos). No joke smh.

It was all of our first time here at Splashway Waterpark and we were super impressed! From purchasing our tickets online to getting inside the park things were super easy and breezy. Like everyone else has been noting be prepared to fill out a waiver for entrance when you arrive as each person in your party will need to fill one out (digital/online) and show a QR code of your confirmation before you get access to the park. It was awesome we were able to bring it our own food, snacks, and drinks on our own! I loved this option as we have some picky eaters and drinkers and ultimately saved on costs for us on buying essentials like bottled water and electrolyte drinks to keep us hydrated of course! But don't worry if you don't come with anything as there are plenty of food options and fresh food & drinks for you to order throughout the park. We opted for funnel cakes to boozy margaritas and even pizza too! Rides and features for the waterpark were so much fun and safe. We had such a great time walking around exploring what we wanted to get on and beat through the June heat. Plenty of tubes and lifeguards all around to make your fun even safer and a no-brainer to try all of the rides. We especially loved the cool and semi-rapid lazy river. Their lazy river was wide and feels much longer than other Texas waterparks we have been to. We loved it so much we spent most of our time here. We didn't do any of the campground parking or RV grounds use as we had a hotel in a nearby town to be able to hang out with each other and have some hotel accommodations so I cannot speak to that experience here. Lockers were super easy to use and rent so don't fret about any valuables you have as they will be safe. There are 3 options for locker sizes too that can hold things like wallet & phone only (if needed) or a large bags and ice coolers. We were super impressed with our overall experience and will definitely be back in the next year for sure.

The general manager was super nice and helpful had us upgrade to a better site ... the staff are very friendly.. purple horned guy helped me every day with ice if u want a massage by the local massage guy I suggest u book early ! The food was great I suggest u pre order breakfast at the cafe by pool it helps when ur tired and don't want to cook in the morning.. definitely 70% nude and 30 % clothed so bring ur best jock straps or sheer clothing or ur fancy bathing suits with sunglasses.... The cabanas are perfect for shade and at great price I recommend getting one because getting sun burned will happen there are areas to stay shaded too but u will probably want to be in the sun and not realize ur burning .. lets there's definitely some late night activities lol ... Yes there is WiFi but super super slow ... so knowing this make sure u download your music for camp area or have other means for ur projectors because I brought one to watch music videos while I cooked dinner for group but only could watch two lol This a bring ur own poison kinda place so I recommend buying this canned drinks that u just pour over ice .. everyone had there own Stanley cup by the pool fyi !! I definitely made lots of friends and will definitely come back with a bigger pack ... the DJ was ok but not like fantastic but the sound was ok They did have a foam party one night and lots of bubbles so that kept them busy so overall it was fun experience except I was disappointed on Sunday my disco Sunday was kinda let down I feel like they didn't give disco Sunday a try at all its was like basic disco not at all eagle disco that my only complaint.. Driving from Houston was a breeze all the way to the freeway exit. After that was all rural routes in Waller County. I called in advance to ask for general information. The gentleman who answered the phone was very polite. He reminded me about 3 pm cutoff time for day pass entry. Upon arrival, I called him again to pay and check me in. I immediately went to the pool and changed to a suitable outfit. While I enjoyed the sun, I met a resident who travels across the country and happened to be at this campground for few weeks. He gave me a grand tour of the property. After I got home, I followed them on Facebook to receive frequent updates. Because I want to enjoy the camping experience one day, when it gets warmer. I'll be back in 2024.

We've stayed at Galveston Island KOA Holiday for the past two years, and I want to share an honest…read moreexperience for anyone considering a stay. First, the positives: this is a beautiful campground with great amenities. The pool, hot tub, and lazy river are fantastic, and many of the staff members are friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about guests. Galveston itself offers so much to do--we especially loved spending time on The Strand and exploring the area. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is the management, which significantly impacts the overall experience. The park manager is unapproachable and runs the campground in a way that feels more focused on control and extra charges than guest satisfaction. Fees are added for things like early arrival, and communication often feels excessive and negative rather than helpful. While guests receive multiple daily texts about activities, we also received messages about things like dog waste in washing machines and stolen cleaning wipes--issues that could have been handled more professionally. There were also ongoing maintenance concerns both years we stayed. We experienced multiple days without water due to plumbing issues, and during our second year, the park was down to a single bathroom because of structural damage. We were told portable restrooms were coming, but they never arrived. Activities were amazing our first year, but the second year saw frequent cancellations. Even simple guest comfort requests--like putting down pavilion sides to block strong wind--were denied, despite those same features being used for staff events. Another concern is how complaints are handled. When an inappropriate interaction with a staff member was reported, there was no management available, and no follow-up from the manager afterward. That lack of accountability was disappointing. It's also worth noting that feedback appears to be filtered internally, meaning corporate oversight may not be getting the full picture. We also noticed an increase in police and emergency presence during our second stay, along with a shift in the overall campground atmosphere. To be clear, this could be one of the best campgrounds in the area--it has all the right ingredients. But until there is more professional, guest-focused management and accountability, it's hard to justify returning. #KOA #KOACamping #GalvestonTX #RVLife #CampgroundReview #RVTravel #FullTimeRV #RVLiving #CampingLife #TravelTexas #HonestReview #CustomerExperience #RVCommunity #CampgroundLife #TravelReview #ExploreTexas #RVAdventures
