It is located right across the street from the historic courthouse that has been turned into a history museum. The Krazy Kricket was started by Lee Putnam and Susan Blenk who had a love of decorating and repurposing furniture. They started out selling items in a tent before graduating to a space in an antique store. In 2014 they were finally able to open their own store in the spot formerly occupied by the Appleseeds gift store. According to their website they carry mostly new gifts, a sprinkling of antiques, Ce-Ce Caldwell's  Natural Chalk + clay paint, Spartina, Mud Pie, Haute Baby and a variety of other brands." As soon as I walked into the store I could instantly see it was full of all of the things I love starting with the gorgeous flamingo chair. They had the line of Spartina Florida purses and totes that I adore. They had many beautiful home decor items, candles, funky jewelry, colorful scarfs, clothing, and cool bags. In the back of the store they have machinery that can custom embroider anything you want. You could literally pick up anything in this store and it would make the perfect gift for me. It's a good thing I don't live in Bartow because this store would be seriously damaging to my bank account. If you like girly things and you are in the downtown Bartow area you will definitely want to visit the Krazy Kricket.

But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

I explained to the owner the tonneau cover was not tightened when installed and my tailgate would barely close. I also was unsatisfied with the cheap, stick on rubber pads installed on the cover. The owner told me he would readjust (properly install) the cover and remove the stick on pads. The cover was readjusted, however, when he returned my truck to me, he said his regional manager told him to keep the stick on pads on the cover. He also said he added extra adhesive on the pads in an attempt to bond them better to the cover. I explained I was not satisfied with the cover and had I known it had the cheap, stick on pads, I never would have purchased it. I also pointed out the scale models of the cover in the show room did not look like the same cover which was installed. I was told there was nothing that could be done because the cover was already installed and it functioned properly. No offer to exchange to a product I was satisfied with, etc. Horrible customer service and borderline deceptive sales due to an inaccurate show room model of the product I purchased. The regional manager I was told to follow up with was no help, neither was corporate. I did not see any signs saying all sales final, nor did I see it on my receipt, nor was I told that before or during the purchase. As of this date, this business has not responded to my BBB complaint to my knowledge. The business owner indicated I "ripped off" the rubber pads. The true story is when I got home after the installation, I realized how unsecured they were with the flimsy peel and stick application. One good car wash would have knocked them off. When I returned to the business, I simply and easily took off the pads to show how poorly secure they were installed, hence the owner first saying they could be removed, but then adding extra adhesive after talking to the regional rep. If the bumpers are necessary, the manufacturer does not provide a strong enough method to keep them securely in place to last. To insinuate I damaged the product in any way is preposterous and appears to be a defense to not owning up to the poor quality of the product.

Giving a One Star due to the fact there is not an option for a ZERO STAR REVIEW…read more We have always loved Bartow Ford loyal customers for YEARS, still go there even though we live out of state. We will make the trip for our services to be done there even though it's out of our way. Well this time will be the last time. Sent my truck in for Warranty work. Multiple different issues cam phaser going out, and truck shuddering hard when you accelerate or out under a load. Issue is found and it's a coil going out. No Big Deal Right? Well all we asked was for them to fix the coil going out and to see if there was a way to get the others covered under warranty since it's a known issue when one goes out the rest are to follow, but they said NO! A few days later my parents are driving the truck back to me out of state what happens it starts shuddering hard again. So they limp the truck back to us. My husband calls the Service Manager BRIAN JONES who was VERY RUDE and not understanding and just kept saying I'm not committing warranty fraud. We explained we are not asking for you to do that but with this being a known issue there has to be something that could have been done when we asked before it left their service center. He kept trying to talk over my husband and just very nasty in the way he spoke with him. Truck was then taken to our local ford dealership and they ran the tests showing there was indeed another coil out and multiple random misfire. Once they replaced the one coil they did a test drive and the truck with still shuddering so once hooked up it showed misfires in the other cylinders still. Once the plugs were pulled they found out they were FOUR cracked. WELL SPARK PLUGS JUST DON'T CRACK ON THEIR OWN! So I call Bartow ford to speak with BRIAN JONES because I feel like this isn't something I should be responsible for when the truck was in service there and to much torque when putting them back in can cause this issue or several other things could have happened. He refused to help any in anyway and made it clear they did not touch them when the truck was there. Which is a lie. To replace my cam phaser you can to remove them to get the engine in time to replace the timing chain as well. I then asked once they finished the service did they test drive the truck? No answer. He then proceeded to tell me that if I wanted any type of reimbursement for the spark plugs then I would need to meet him in small claims court. Very aggressive in the way he spoke and tried talking over me as well. I maybe a female but I'm not an idiot. And if this is the way he treats his customers with no customer service skills I will not be returning for anything! Oh and also one more thing to add to this list on Sh*t Storm. I picked up my truck from the local dealership today, drove it all of maybe 25-30 miles got home and was smelling a burning smell and seen some smoke. Called my husband he comes home and starts looking around come to find out whatever technician did my work did not put my dipstick back in so now after being drove 300+ miles 1 qt of oil left !!!! And just paid Bartow Ford for my damn oil change as well so here I go tomorrow to get another one
