The drip was a darker roast to start, resulting in an unpleasant charcoal water flavor profile, needing milk and sugar to balance out the tds. Drunk black, not to my liking.

It's been several dozen visits at this point and it has slowly become one of my most frequented stops for a caffeinated drink and some much needed WiFi time (#1). It may not look like much from the outside, but it has a lot to offer in this sleepy part of the greater Heights / Lazybrook. It essentially has everything I want in a cafe: friendly service, abundance of space, solid array of drinks, fairly fast Wi-Fi, and incredibly easy parking. The place is so enormous that they have multiple bathrooms, endless seats, and dedicated spaces for quiet time and or meetings. There is seating for groups, lounge seating with the couches, board games galore, and even an IG worthy corner throne seat for photo-ops. It's a place where much of my remote work needs are easily met. Most coffee aficionados won't be impressed with their selection, but for the average sipper what they have to offer is sufficient. If it's not a half-sweet ice latte, it's a cold brew for yours truly. They tend to go a bit heavy on the ice and flavoring (especially with the frapps), but I always tell the staff to go easy with it. Their friendliest barista is Bri, who is always smiling and goes above and beyond to make sure folks are having a good time. The prices are in the $3-6 range for every drink, which seems standard nowadays. Ultimately this is a very laid back place to get some work / studying done with a drink or two. Unless... unless you have a prosumer espresso machine and need your coffee beans to be consistent and freshly roasted. Store bought coffee is often not fresh and that may not impact an automatic drip machine's results as much as it does pulling a shot of espresso. You need the beans at their peak. Prices are in line with grocery store prices and you cannot beat their attention to providing a great product. They do sell some other things in their store, like greeting cards and other tea/coffee paraphernalia.

I actually loved my first visit, I came back with my husband the next day. I first ordered the pistachio latte hot. I asked for light syrup and low fat milk which was perfect for me. It had chunks of pistachio in it which was cool. The second day I came back with my husband and he ordered the same pistachio latte but full sweet and I got the pandan latte with light ice, light foam, and low fat milk. They incorporate the low fat milk well as some places tend to burn it. The pandan was great and I'm not even a ice coffee lover. Smooth, creamy. I could not really taste the pandan but the matcha came across. I asked the barista about their syrups and beans. I learned that most of their syrups are made in house and they get their beans from a family friend. They used to make their own and are thinking about doing it again which is a great sign of a quality shop. For sure a great little place.
