It was served with a side of raspberry jam that complemented the sandwich very well for a sweet and savory combination. The scrambled eggs were more flavorful than probably any scrambled eggs I've ever had at a restaurant. I also ordered the horchata with a shot of espresso, as I heard that was pretty popular, but it was just okay. It wasn't too packed at 9:30 on a Saturday, and the outside seating was really pleasant. They arrive daily from NY partially cooked - finished on site - and available until 12pm. Ordered up the Southern Burger - leaving off the serrano peppers - SO DELICIOUS! The fried green tomato was a perfect topper. I cut it in 1/4ths - still too much! Made the burger a meal - with onion rings. The perfect size ring! Drink: I had a divine dirty chai latte with pistachio nut milk (a new milk for me) which really added a fresh twist on a classic morning beverage favorite. La Vita's owner, a very sweet and passionate man who clearly loves what he's doing here, shared that they fly in their chai in powder form from Italy. No nasty syrups or pre-mixed chai here and I can absolutely tell the difference! Food: I had THE BEST everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese since my last trip to Manhattan. I won't spill the beans on how they achieve this, but they have legit true NYC bagels here. DO NOT PASS ON THIS sandwich! You'll be very sorry you did. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.

I opted for a sandwich for reasons too complex to go in here and the one that I chose was the Westheimer bacon and avocado. The flat bread was good and it is a sandwich that I would order again. No photos as, well, there are enough photos of coffee cups on Yelp. Plenty of parking and that is a plus. There is a possibility to sit outside in the shade but it is still hot in the summer here in Houston.

This place is a coffee shop, but I feel like they have more food items than things on their coffee menu. They have breakfast items along with a big sandwich menu. I didn't partake in food this time but everything I saw come out and what my friends had looked good. They don't have specialty drinks like alot of coffee shops around town, but they do have specialty syrups that they make in house that can elevate your coffee. I like a specialty drink, but sometimes you just want to have regular ole drink. The line was kind of long and I felt like I was asking too many questions and ended up panic ordering. I ordered an iced chai latte. It was decent. It tasted a little too diluted and I could barely taste the chai. Still enjoyable. Just from the reactions of the people I was with, everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. Overall it was a positive experience here. People chose Cleo Coffee as the Gayest and Greatest Readers Choice Award, along with the other business Cleo Roasting Co. The best time to come by is commute hours and Sunday afternoon. I could usually find space to sit and park. I usually buy the freshest roasted beans and ask them to grind them for me. So, I can take them home to brew at my house. I'm here frequently to buy my freshly roasted coffees.

There isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use the limited street parking alongside the coffee shop. The spaces are tight since it's located in a residential neighborhood, but if you can find a spot, it's definitely worth the visit. We most definitely recommend and will be returning!

The horchata portion was overly sweet and tasted a bit odd. Overall they stay busy due to the lack of direct competition in the immediate area but there are definitely superior coffee spots within the loop. Service is non existent and the drive through process was also extremely slow.
