Super Service!!! Salina was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions when we asked her. The service was fast and the food was picture perfect. Golden hash browns and mounds of home fries. My husband had the 4 sausage link breakfast with eggs, home fries, and toast. Since I don't care for eggs, Salina melded the lunch and breakfast Chicken Fried Steak and I got the steak, hash browns, corn, and garlic toast. You get very large portions. We have to go back and try some of the other items advertised - they have taco Tuesdays, and specials posted, they advertised two steak dinners with potatoes, vegetables and soup or salad. I think it was $34.99 for two but better check. The Cafe reminded me of how diner's were in the sixties - all the best parts. There was plenty of seating and affirmations on the walls.

I love this place! It's a hidden gem and I'm glad they've survived the pandemic. Their food never disappoints and they have great portions. I've been coming here for years as they have excellent customer service. Their ambiance is very welcoming. It's a hole in the wall but you feel at home every time. It's definitely a must try if you're in Palmdale. They're located next door to Harbor Freight blink and you will miss it! Try it out!

Pancake Sandwich with Bacon. Three Cheese Omelette with Hash Browns.

rene's Burger's Cafe is the definition of a cozy, hole-in-the-wall diner. From the moment we walked in, we felt like regulars--even though it was our first visit. We came for breakfast and ordered a variety of dishes. The youngest surprised us by opting for a grilled cheese and fries (classic kid move!). Of course, everyone had to try the fries, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and so satisfying. The pancakes stole the show--massive, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. I went for the three-cheese omelette with hash browns. The omelette had a great cheese pull, and the hash browns were cooked to golden, crispy perfection. Next time, I might ask them to jazz up the hash browns with some toppings, Waffle House-style! We're already planning to come back for lunch and dinner--can't wait to dive into the rest of their menu. This place is a gem!

Food and ambiance is great! Nice hole in the wall that should be checked out when you're in the area.

Great food. Great prices. And great service. The lady server is the best, always handling the front all by herself and she gets it done, and is quick and friendly. They give big portions as well.

Great food! Service is amazing the waitress made sure we were happy with our food and refilled my coffee as soon as I finished it. The place had a really homey feeling, felt really comfortable here with awesome paintings. Will come again.

There's a down home, country feel to the 49'er Saloon subtly referring to the California gold rush days of yore. Looks like an ideal place for bikers and horse riders. Hearty grub with hints of traditional regional American cuisine and full bar where you will not leave hungry. There's a formal dining room for larger gatherings for families and friends. Great place to eat after scrambling around Vasquez Rocks, visiting Animal Tracks, or just hungry on CA 14 frwy. Just get off the Crown Valley offramp and head due south for about a mile. 1) Wild Game Sausage: Walk On The Wild Side With Jalapeño-Cheddar Stuffed Elk With Roasted Peppers & Onions. Big portion enough for 2 meals since the Elk sausage is so rich. Elk sausage is ground fine and stuffed tightly in the casing for dense, firm texture. You're getting your money's worth. The Jalapeño has a nice, warm piquancy while the Cheddar gives a dairy fermented undertone. The julienned red and green bellpeppers are pleasantly al dente; the onions are caramelized to bring out their sweetness. It's all sautéed in an agrodolce/sweet-sour sauce along with a touch of garlic. 1a) Side dish: Nice little garden salad including green lettuce, diced purple onion, chopped tomato, grated carrot. Chose blue cheese dressing to use for the "Buffalo Burger". 2) "Buffalo Burger" is extra finely ground, plush, velvety Bison meat. So when I ordered it medium rare, the patty turned out mushy. Next time, I will order it medium to firm up and give more of a chaw to the meat. Opted for two slices of not too crispy, meaty bacon. Mayo, tomato, green lettuce leaf, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, dense brioche bun. I spread on the blue cheese dressing to give a little funk to what I thought would be the blood minerality of the Bison meat. It's another substantial dish. 2a) Side dish of standard French fries which was crisp as requested although it didn't quite have that ineffable earthy, mildly sweet, potato flavour 1-2a) Allegiance India Pale Ale, Lancaster CA was a good counter to both food items. Dry, heavy bodied, fruity with scents of orange zest, lacquer, touch of cleansing acidity. 49'er doesn't leave you hungry so didn't have enough room for dessert. I took the Elk sausage home and made sandwiches for two meals. So eating at the 49'er isn't as expensive due to the big portions. 4 stars

Then I was asked specifically what did I order, even though they were looking at my detailed receipt. I told them and they started on the order. My order was with no caramelized onions. The order was thrown together and thrown into the box, with caramelized onions. I just basically took the bag and left. That was 12:31 PM. The presentation due to their hurried attempts to include my order, was also a disaster. First and likely last visit.

The burger patties are rubbery and chewy and are seemingly frozen. It almost seems like they have binders and fillers in the meat because it just does not taste like ground beef. They basically are on par with the frozen beef patties you can buy at the supermarket. They call it a char burger, but what char? They are literally flavorless patties. The guacamole that they put on the Santa Barbara char burger tastes terrible and is not fresh at all. I'm tired of coming here and always being let down... the glory days of the habit when it was limited to only a few locations in Ventura and Santa Barbara is long gone.
