Katz n jammers is an amazing Eatery. I have had so many different breakfast items at this place. While I was eating my breakfast one time I look to the right of me and saw a bowl of oatmeal with a fresh bowl of fruit on the side it look amazing. Everything we have had here has always been on point. The service is fast and friendly. As soon as you step into cats and Jammers you feel as if you went back in time. Went for breakfast after several people said the portions were big and food was good. Potatoes were dark brown and over cooked, biscuits and gravy nooo gravy was just kinda of plain tasteless paste. One other thing that would help is don't serve hot food on cold plates, coffee was ok not great This is only my opinion but as a long haul trucker I know my breakfasts.....................yes I dooo Hope others things are better. read more

Ok so let me give you my back story lol so in elementary and junior high a lot of my peers went here faithfully they raved about it... like full on gloated it was like the cool kids hang out. I always asked my parents could they take me standard black parent response was "Do you have Katz N Jammers money" so was stuck with hearing about it in class the next week. So now fast forward to my 24 birthday my dad surprised me with. Brunch date at this point I forgot about the place . So I'm kind of hyped we get there I'm like omg I feel like I'm on the set of Happy Days it's really got the 50's diner down pack. We order I get a French toast plate and let me tell you what.... I'm so mad I waited 15+ years for mediocre food it was like IHOP or Denny's which made me really sad I really wanted to like the place. I might take my daughter just for the fact that it's a novelty diner but that's about it. read more

The food at this place is awful.....the home fries were way over seasoned and overcooked, steak was overcooked as well. Food was very flavorless and bland...well except for those over seasoned home fries. Not sure why anyone would give this place any more than 1 or 2 stars. well i cant complain about the food it always taste great however the service is a completely different story the last two times i tried to eat here i had a terrible experience both times due to the same busboy the 1st time we were ready to order and had been waiting for about 15 min i informed him that we were ready and his answer was she'll get to you when shes ready with a tone in his voice i thought maybe hes having a bad day so i let it go i went back about 2 weeks later and asked my server for cream the same busboy over heard and decided to grab a huge handful and throw in on my table so i paid for the coffee i didn't even drink and walked out i guess the only way to get decent service there s to be a card carrying member of the Klan i guess i shouldn't be surprised i mean it is lancaster read more

Love this 50's style diner, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make u feel welcome. The food is basic home style cooking, always big portions. Never a bad meal. Children love sitting at the counter and ordering ice cream sodas and watching old cartoons on TV. Went back again not too long ago. Not sure if ownership changed, but they have finally taken down the curtains so you can look out the windows. I think they also removed that awful "splashed" wording from the windows. It makes the place much brighter. Breakfast was as good as usual. read more

The place was recently sold to a new owner, and the prices have gone up. The menu is also filled with "no's" "Don't" and the like. You cant split many menu items, and there isn't refills on juices. The waiters aren't exactly the best. As for the food the French Toast is good but everything else is just "okay." read more

I go here often while taking the train because its so close to the Lancaster Metro station. It's in a location not on the main street, it takes a bit to find it, and I think it likes to be discovered. Small place, not sure how long its been in the antelope valley, but its the average old time diner, seems most of the peeps who go here are regulars. Great 50's atmosphere the second you walk in the door but would have been a little cooler to have a little 50's music going on as well. My family of 4 was seated right away, fantastic service and very friendly staff. Coffee was very good and that's saying a lot for me since I'm very critical on coffee. Large portions of food at decent prices, everything we ordered was great, no complaints at all except we thought the biscuits and gravy could use a little more gravy since it was delicious!! Let me say, I have lived by this restaurant for twelve years and it was not until recently that I decided to go eat there. I went for breakfast with my boyfriend for his graduation and we really enjoyed it. The restaurant is 50's decorated and it perfect for a date for any guys looking for a location to take someone, or simply to go out and eat with family, kids and friends. The service was speedy and friendly, the waiters are always coming around and checking up. When it comes down to food it was tasty and the menu offered many different varieties in Breakfast and Lunch. I ordered their French Toast, they were big portions for $7 and I ended up taking home leftovers. My boyfriend ordered the Big Bopper Special which is chicken fried steak with two eggs & it was really good, I ended up stealing some of his food. This reminds me that they don't have breakfast or lunch time, you can order whatever you want whenever! Their shakes are delicious and BIG, the waiters were generous because they give you the extra shake that does not fit in the cup instead of throwing it away. The restaurant is just unique in general, it takes you back in time and makes you want to find more places like it. Definitely switches things up a bit and it is not the same old Denny's and IHOP. Their sandwiches are BOMB! I'm ashamed of how basic my sandwiches are, overall I love this place and hope you guys love it too! Waitresses were friendly and efficient, food was tasty, and the atmosphere was lively. A wide variety of options are on the menu. It's an easy walk from the downtown. Katz has the best service , quick to get your order and food comes out quickly and always perfect ! But times change, but not my wages or budget, I work Mon-Fri. The same hours they are only open. And the only days I could go was weekends, and with a coupon since I'm the poor workin class. But policies change now you can not use a coupon on week ends us grandmas have to pinch our pennies to make it, no over time . I wish. So I can't go to Katz till June only , I have gone every other weekend for atleast 10 years I'll miss them read more
