Katz n jammers is by far my favorite breakfast/lunch spot not only in the AV but in life. Their food is beyond delicious. Their staff is absolutely amazing, they always make you feel at home. I'm obsessed with oldies; so I absolutely love the set up in there. If you haven't been; this is a must try spot. I suggest the Californian omelette; its legit the bees knees! read more

Overall a good experience. Food was good and the portions are huge. I had enough leftovers to feed me for 3 days! Also enjoyed the decor of the restaurant and the waiter was friendly. As good as it gets in Lancaster... We go there for breakfast all the time... It's very good, the portions are pretty big. Tip for saving money: split a breakfast... (the omelets are made with four eggs, so it's plenty). The pancakes are really good too. The coffee is so so. The bad: They don't have 1/2 & 1/2. Only the vanilla flavored crap and fake creamer. PLEASE get real cream! As far as lunch, again, very good diner food. read more

I ordered a Cobb salad chopped and tossed it wasn't chopped missing avocado eggs And I couldn't taste the dressing it was really watery also missing blue cheese crumbles. Use to order this all the time and I stopped because of this reason. Will not order anything from there again! read more

I was in town for five weeks and me and my boyfriend wanted to check this place out. It had a great atmosphere. The style was awesome and it was packed. The food was okay for a small town. I've lived in the AV for about 3 years and somehow have never made my way to this place despite it's perfect location near downtown Lancaster. When my pops was visiting last week, I read the reviews, saw the photos, and knew this was a perfect place to take him. Sure enough, he loved it--not only is the place bright and sunny at 8 a.m. on a Sunday, but it serves up huge portions of DELICIOUS food. We ordered coffees and tomato juice with a large and tasty cinnamon roll to start. Then we regretted filling up on the cinnamon roll when we saw our huge portions. I had 2 eggs with 2 (huge) sausage patties and hash browns and it didn't disappoint. Dad got the French toast sandwich, which is a misnomer--there is no sandwich (thankfully). It all comes on one plate but in a fashion you would hope eggs and bacon would accompany French toast--i.e., next to, not on top of or between. I have no idea what my husband ordered because it was gone in a flash. Oh wait, he says he got the Omelette Special, which was chorizo with spinach and other delicious veggies. For the three of us the total was under $50. Not bad for a delicious Sunday brunch! We'll definitely be coming back here--it's so much brighter and cleaner than Otto's and frankly, the staff here is incredible. They kept our coffee cups full and were super friendly. read more

Ate here today and had the Patty Duke which was a perfectly cooked (med rare) patty melt. My gf had the chicken fried steak which was thin and over cooked. The sausage gravy was bland and found only a few small pieces of sausage in the gravy itself. Patty Melt was a 5 star. CFS was a 1 star. read more

I really enjoyed Katz N' Jammers! We were seated promptly, our coffee was always being topped off, and the food was nice and hot when it came out. Altogether there wasn't much of a wait for any aspect of the meal, and the pricing isn't too bad. My only complaint is that there really isn't any option for someone who prefers smaller portions. I had no problem ordering the breakfast meal that came with biscuits and gravy, hash browns, eggs, and sausage because it all tasted great; however I wasn't prepared to eat it all and was bummed about wasting it. I do prefer my biscuits and gravy made with sausage gravy, but here they make it with bacon gravy. Still great, just a little different! Really enjoyed it and the staff was great, I will return to try lunch and dinner. read more

K&J always has great service and good food. The All American ambience is probably the biggest draw though. You can't go wrong here!

Service was super fast. We came in at 9am on a weekday as a large group and was out with boxes and checks paid in just over 45 minutes. The server was quick as we requested because we needed to go back to work at 10am. Food and prices were fair. I know the group enjoyed the French toast. read more

Hands down one of the best if not the best, 50's diners, I ever ate at. Food is always great. Been taking friends and family there over 10 years. Okay so this place is WAY better than Crazy Otto's!!! Their portion sizes are just as epic, but the taste is sublime! The Big Bopper Special (Chicken Fried Steak) is what I order most from there, and I gotta tell ya, they never disappoint! If you haven't tried this place, trust me you have to! read more

I just tried this place for the first time yesterday and I have to agree with most yelpers here that their food is delicious. I'm a huge french toast fan and it was on-point. Their french toast came with eggs and a choice of 2 sausage or bacon. My partner tried the eggs Benedict and she was not disappointed. At first the prices seemed a little steep, more like chain restaurant prices, but then when you see the amount of portion they give you, the price is definitely worth it... I love breakfast and this place knocks Dennys and IHOP and any other breakfast place out there out of the park hands down.. not to mention they were sooooooo fast bringing out our order to us even though it was packed inside. will definitely stop by again, hopefully next time I'll have room to try one of their shakes, but I doubt it... the only reason I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we felt somewhat rushed. like we were seriously in and out in about 30 mins. which is probably a record for me.. some people may like that, but I like to relax and take my time when I go out, I like to enjoy every bite.. read more

The food was good. I got the make your own omelet. It was a fair amount of food the price. I'm not impressed with the menu especially for breakfast items such as French toast and pancakes. It's a pretty busy small diner. The main problem I had was they only have two high chairs. 2! Other than that it was ok. read more

A friend brought me here for breakfast. At first I thought of it as another diner kinda place; well it is..... except for the quality and the quantity of the food. First rate, tasty, delicious, satisfying, food with lots of choices and daily specials. Also, several flavors of sodas including a chocolate concoction! The decor is based on the '40s and takes you back in time. The service is very friendly and efficient. Not only the servers are attentive but the food is served promptly. They loose one star cause my omelet came out scrambled and you have to request real butter otherwise they give you margarine. read more

This was our second time visiting there. The first time wasn't great, but it had been awhile ago, so decided to give it a try. It was early, so not very busy. Totally disappointed with the food. I had to send my breakfast back to be heated in a microwave. I saw another customer did the same thing. My tea had to be reheated too. I definitely won't be back. The girls at Kat's and Jammers are awesome. I've been going to this restaurant for a few weeks now. As soon as I walk in I'm greeted with a friendly face and great service. Great little cafe here in Lancaster! It is a retro style cafe with a pretty simple menu with just enough choices. I see they serve phosphate soda here I didn't get to try one but next time I go I definitely will! I got the French toast which was perfect and a side order of biscuits and gravy (see I am a biscuit and gravy connoisseur) which was decent a little bit salty and the biscuits were a little hard definitely not the worst I've ever had.
