I came into Katz today for 2 used tires and an alignment. I paid for the alignment and tires, tires work as they should but the alignment? Horrible! I drove in the lot with my steering wheel tilting right, left with it tilting left. I took it back immediately and they redone it for free. The guy even drove it off lot and when he came back he said it's fine now. As soon as I drive it off lot there goes my wheel again tilting left. If I make it straight while I'm driving I'm pulled to the right. Wasted 100 bucks at this place! Not to mention half of the staff have attitude issues here. I had a possible broken tire belt and my first few attempts to resolve were unsuccessful, however the manager saw my review and reached out to me to try to resolve the issue. Good news!! My tire issue was resolved with another tire. It didn't take long to fix either. It was resolved within a few days after the manager reached out to me. I wish I could give half a star or lower to this place right now. This place is now trash. The employees lie to your face and don't want to do service for certain customers. They earned my business when they came to the neighborhood and took over the Discount Tire that was located here years back. I have brought 3 vehicles here for service from new tires to tire repair. I had 37 screws in a single tire that they pointed out due to some vandalism. They used to be great guys working there. I now know better and that this business is not worth time or effort when the employees lied to me about something as basic, yet critical as air in a tire. I walked in after parking my car in the lot to ask about the price to put air in my tire. I was willing to pay for the service, as they always had to pull my vehicles into the garage in the past. I was in critical need of air in my tires according to the car dash alert. The person in the garage told me they ddidnt have outside air, which was fine with me, they have never had actual outside air since I started bring my vehicles in. Usually, just an air fill was free. If there was a patch needed then there was a fee. He tells me, when I ask if it can be filled in the garage they would Haaretz to take the tires off the car to put air in!! What?! I am no idiot and I have only taken my vehicles to them for new tires and to be blatantly lied to, to my face. Done. My girlfriend called in when I came home telling her my tires are still dangerously low on air due to weather and a possible bad valve, who knows since they refused service to me, and suddenly they remember they have Free air service and if the wheel needs patched $25.00. I will not be using this company anymore for tire service or purchasing anything. I recommend if you are in the area, there are fuel stations a few miles away that offer free air and even mechanics that offer great service in the neighborhood. This was egregious treatment and I wonder how they keep the shop doors open with legitimate business when they turn customers away at 2 in the afternoon. They weren't busy. The waiting area was clear, so why lie?! I'd rather support any of the big brand chain tire stores than ever go back to this place that has been part of one of the better known tire chains since I was a child. Must be luck you are still in business. Edit 1: for full disclosure, I will be following up with Tarik regarding this issue. I always follow up when a company reaches out. Edit 2: full disclosure conclusion is that I contacted the business owner and we were able to discuss my concerns rationally, and he offered to make things right through another location. While I can't forgive the actions of the people at the location, and I will leave my original review up but also have you consider other locations could be better as management does respond to complaints very quickly and reasonably. These guys are phenomenal! Since my first visit here, I haven't bought a tire anywhere else. Everyone that I have ever came in contact with has always been super helpful and far from the cliche male car repair shop guys that try to take advantage of unsuspecting female customers. My very first visit was due to a flat tire that I was sure would need replaced. I drove to the shop and my car was in the bay within 15 minutes.....even on a pretty busy Saturday afternoon!! After about 10 minutes, someone brought my keys to the counter and I was ready for checkout. The guy handed me the keys, smiled and said " Your all set! Have a good day!" Wait, what???? I ask what the total was and he said "Don't worry about it! Your tire was able to be sealed and your good to go" They didn't charge me a dime and definitely could have used the opportunity to do so. They gained my trust that day over 3 years ago and I have been loyal since. On the occasions that I have had to get replacement tires, service is still equally as friendly and prices are very fair!! On top of that, they are super quick and open the car door for you! These are the types of things I always remember and keep me coming back. We had hit a pothole on the freeway and had gone to Katz to get a used tire. Instead of trying to sell us tires they not only fixed the hole in the tire that had blown out but checked our other tires and plugged another one that had a nail in it and was low on pressure. They did all of this right at closing, the mechanic was professional and polite, quick and efficient. Had an excellent experience. Will certainly go back if necessary. read more

After having been treated inappropriately at the shop where I bought my tire and leaving before service could be performed, I stopped here without an appointment. They got me in, taken care of and on my way in less than an hour. An employee acknowledged my arrival before I even made it through the door, I was given frequent updates even after the original diagnosis and time estimate was given. I was even apologized to for the other stores behavior. The "big box stores" may have a slight advantage on pricing because they can buy in larger volumes, but the less than 2% difference I paid was well worth it to be treated with respect and kindness that the the big box stores could never offer. read more

I bought my tires at Katz tires on 161 some months ago, and I was pleased with my purchase. Their attitude is always warm and welcoming. One word: efficiency. The guys are awesome. I have gone back there to get air in my tires. They always stop to do that for me, like I'm not being a pest -senior citizen here. Today I went in and they found that my tire had a big old screw in it. I had stopped at Bob Caldwell Chrysler dealership first-- in a panic. ("Noise on my right guys, help! Is my tire going to fall off???!") They wouldn't take time to even look to see what the problem was. The guys at Katz tires immediately saw my concern; took care of the problem and plugged my tire. I got a flat tire on the way to work and once I got the donut on I looked for the closest tire shop and it was Katz tires. I arrived at 11:00 AM and was out the door by 11:20. I still made it to work on time. The price of the tire was $48.38, which I think is a bit high as the tire shop in my neighborhood charged $25-$40 for a used tire depending on the tire. On my way home that night I got a flat in the tire I had just bought. So for the 2nd time that day I had to change my tire and put a donut on it. I didn't want to go back because I hate to complain, I just will never come back but The next morning I called and explained that I got a flat in the same tire and was told to come in and they would help. And they replaced the tire free of charge and I was out in 30 minutes!! read more
